Carelessly will delete your existence Don't put your catering company on this site. It seems wonderful in the beginning but they will strong arm your company, treat you as disposable., Refuse to take your calls, And delete years of reviews you earned on their site. This is like putting your hard work into someone else's pockets. Avoid working with this company and stay independent. I was with them for 10+ years and was faithful and our company was devoted to customer orders. After all these years and hundreds of 5 star reviews, ezcater deleted us without hesitation after we did not want to take some of the smaller orders they serve. Constant policy changes and micromanagement to caterers. This has been a discouraging, disheartening, and offensive experience. We now work hard not to give our autonomy to a big company like this. You will be disposable, they will manage your reputation and your customers as theirs and delete you when they feel like it. I wish o could've told my younger self this before we signed up for this company. RUN! Stay independent and put your hard earned money into independent marketing and customer management so you don't be shut down out of what you built. I like the ease of placing an order and i really love the feature where I can invite a colleague to pay which is important in accompany where multiple teams order. **What do you dislike about ezCater?** -"Zero cater" a competitor has a winning edge only because every single restaurant provides signs for their food. Signs that include dietary restrictions. This one thing is why two people from my team have left EZcater and use them. - All customer reviews should include a list of what dishes the person ordered from any restaurant. It would really help future orderers. - A few times I've left negative reviews, and i've gotten calls from the rest. manager .. they're trying to fix it of course, but its so awkward. - When trying to order for womans history month i could find hardly ANY rest. thats woamn owned We live in NYC or variety should be wayyyy bigger. -our company card was authorized before the food was delivered recently , which was unexpected. I know lots of companies MUST use virtual cards with set limits that has yoU go through an approval process(like Brex, etc.) instead of every employee having a company credit card. having an authorization place before delivery created an issue. When I spoke with a representative, I was told the charge was authorized early because the event was 48 hours away. But the restaurant’s cutoff time hadn’t passed, it was actually over 10 hours later, meaning i can still make changes to the order (including cancel it ) so I don’t understand why the authorization is even necessary—it just didn’t make sense. That kind of timing feels like it’s asking for issues. When we decided to change restaurants and cancel the order, I had to go back to Finance to get approval for a new limit before placing the new order, which was a big inconvenience. - You guys are LOSING alot, ALOT of money by not having Liquor stores on the site. **What problems is ezCater solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lots of option in one place. ### 29. After we entered our order, they sent us a text, asking us if we wanted to modify my orders to the buffet style. We asked if we would receive all the original orders we entered, which included chicken shawarma, gyros, and falafel. They confirmed so and then modified our order. We asked them to send us the detailed modified order. They did so in a long text, which was difficult to read. It wasn't until the next day when we realized they missed to include gyros in the modified order. We contacted them about the mishap. They attempted to contact the restaurant, which declined to accommodate the mishaps since the restaurant wasn't involved in the order modification. Then EZCater refused to take any responsibility of the order modification mishaps and blamed everything on us instead, citing the long text they sent. No expert packing and unloaoding. Most times things are forgotten (Food or tableware) and the drivers don't know what they picked up or CHECK the items on the invoice to make sure everything is there. The drivers don't help lay out the food. These drivers are simply Uber drivers and alike. WE NEED EXPERT CATERERS to help with our catering for our corporate orders that we do a few times a week for large (100 ppl) and small groups (5 ppl). The Ez Cater site is user friendly and has great features and filters. **What problems is ezCater solving and how is that benefiting you?** I hope they are working on making the downloadable invoice more detailed to see when the order was placed at least and the nickname we gave the order when we placed it. You can set up a group ordering. Tax exemption is an option. One place to pull up all receipts. **What do you dislike about ezCater?** Some caterers have unjustifiable food minimums (for an item that you are ordering), some have very limited options to itemize or add extra (proteins, for example). Some caterers' delivery cost is calculated based on the percentage from order, which turns out to be very pricey sometimes. **What problems is ezCater solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't need to spend hours browsing internet to find a catering company. Very user friendly with great filters to make browsing what you're looking for both efficient and convenient. I like that I can see all prices up front to compare and it breaks them down per head, not just total cost, which is always helpful! I also like how you can earn rewards points toward future purchases. **What do you dislike about ezCater?** The downside is that you have to wait on the caterer to confirm. This has actually never been an issue for me, and every one of my orders has been accepted within 24 hours, but if you were placing a last minute order this could be a problem since there is a "middle man" directing your order from the ezCater website to the actual restaurant for comfirmation. **What problems is ezCater solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instead of having to search through multiple restaurant websites for their catering offerings or often times calling multiple places to check menus, prices, and availability, it is all at my fingertips. This makes ordering large catering orders much less time consuming! We also get tired of ordering the same things and ezCater is constantly adding new restaurants to their list so we get the chance to check out new places that might not have been on our radar. ### 48. The only perk is convenience. **What do you dislike about ezCater?** They have meal order cut off times prior to when we get into work (for reference I am at work before 8 A.M.), they change the meal delivery option forcing you to reorder which becomes problematic if you try to order ahead and do not look at it again for the rest of the week, their restaurant selection is absolutely terrible and is very much impaired by their pricing model and unwillingness to compromise with high-quality restaurants who are priced out, zero customer service, they are very regularly erratic with their delivery times on both sides (which is extra frustrating if you have a set schedule with meetings all day), and overall expect issues at lunch most days of the week.
