The biggest dislike with examsoft is that it is very delayed in apple mac OS updates. We have to quickly alert the students NOT to update until examsoft will be compatible with the new OS. There is a bit of a delay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that you can use the program on a computer, Ipad, or phone. The application form of Examsoft is called Exampify. It makes it very convenient to use the software and take an exam. As a physician assistant student, I really love that we use ExamSoft because our professors are able to get our grades back to us very quickly. We can take an exam and have our grades back immediately with the immediate exam review option. I'm also a person that likes to cross out answers and highlight/circle/underline things on exams, and I was nervous about not being able to do this when my program switched over to ExamSoft; but it turned out to be even better than a paper exam because if I change my mind and want to un-cross-out something; I can do that without having to erase and make my exam look like a mess. The only thing I dislike about ExamSoft is that there is the potential for technical difficulties. In graduate school, our exam days are pretty high stress situations and I have had a couple of classmates run into technical problems that either shut down their entire device they were using or they lost all of their answers and had to go back and take the exam on a paper copy. The updates are slower for Macs, so sometimes we can't update our Macs until the newest version of Exam Soft comes out. That can be annoying at times. Especially since some other applications require the update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This software is very easy to use, I have tried it on a laptop and an iPad. They are very open to suggestions to make the software better and are easy to work with if problems are encountered. I do not like how exemplify does not have an option for notes. For example, if there is a question - having a free space for where you can type out your thoughts. The font can be somewhat small, and on the end of the user, it cannot be changed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This program is very straight forward to use. There are clear directions, a convenient home screen, and a tutorial for introduction. There is an area on the home screen showing recent completed exams, and exams available for download. All exams can be reviewed after instructors approve them, and the question content can even be organized to help test takers understand areas that they performed strongly or weakly in. The biggest con for this program is that is can take a couple minutes to start up. In addition, in the past there have been a few bugs that caused the system to crash. In order to fix this, must shut down the program, re-start the computer, and re-run it. However, ExamSoft has recently came out with an update, and since then I have not had any issues. The thing I like the best is that you are able to cross out answers in multiple choice questions. This is so helpful in narrowing down possible answers. I dislike that the program sometimes has glitches and errors come up often when uploading documents. When retrieving documents/exams, sometimes the documents do not load quickly. I do not like when my exams crash in the middle, mainly out of fear that the work already completed will be lost. The software is only available for a small number of laptops which makes it difficult to implement when applying it to large student populations. Making the software more compact and also more widely available would greatly benefit it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easily editable exam administering software that allows for lots of specifications in terms of question types, with whether you want to accept typed-in answers or some form of multiple choice. Running exams through also helps save time with grading as well. In addition, there are various monitoring functions that may be useful if one would want to ensure integrity during examinations. There are some hiccups that come up from time to time with exam administration, such as with questions with attached images. These inconsistencies are due to compatibility issues which kind of need to be ironed out at an individual user level which makes administering exams less fluid. It's difficult to choose just a couple things that I like best about ExamSoft! 1-The options available for institutions who need to deliver exams/quizzes in a variety of settings are outstanding. 2-The analysis and reporting features are invaluable to schools looking to improve student outcomes. 3-Customer support is typically top notch! Some wait times exist, but students and administrators usually find the support line extremely helpful. 4-Response to customer needs. They listen to what we need the software to do and try to really understand the challenges we face in our settings. 5-The rubrics feature is outstanding! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ExamSoft continues to improve the user experience for students and administrators. Some difficulty with earlier versions of the student platform freezing during exams lingers, but I've seen vast improvements recently. The administrator portal has some kinks to be worked out, and communication from the team at ExamSoft has been that many of those are being worked on currently. The software loads on individual computers at different rates. The students may not all begin the test at the same time depending on the amount of time the exam takes to load through the software on the individual computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Clean design and interface. Fairly easy to navigate and use. I like the colors used and the intuitiveness of the program. I like the amount of features it has to mimic a word processing type of application which helps in testing environments. I also liked how modern the whole application felt. User friendly, however it doesn't feel as if it's solid. Meaning that there are a few instances of delay or lag that makes the overall user interface feel a little less than reliable. Also when the program initiates and limits the Wi-Fi capability it feels as if the whole app is going to crash, in a testing environment this is a little worrisome although nothing adverse ended up happening.
