This program creates exams from a bank of questions that are directly connected to the content it is assessing. This ensures that the information has already been covered with the students. I also appreciate the question analysis that is provided, identifying the level of complexity, depth of knowledge, and Bloom's taxonomy being assessed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The test generator can be difficult to navigate at first. and it only saves in that program's format. The loophole, however, is to use the "print to PDF" format, so that you can save it in a more convenient way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This allows me to create assessments with consistent formatting and design, usually with significantly less effort than it takes to do so in a traditional word processor. It also does a great job of integrating many EV test banks together from multiple sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a big challenge to bring materials from other formats into ExamView. Additionally, it's very challenging to format things into appropriate scientific formats if writing your own materials or manually bringing them into the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ExamView is incredibly easy to use and looks great. Unlike other similar platforms, you can put together assessments easily and track them just as easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is part of the nature of the product, but while easy to use, ExamView does tie you down to a textbook in my experience and doesn’t allow for the ability to adjust the experience for supplemental materials. I also worry sometimes that when assessment questions are broken down into standards that occasionally multiple standards are addressed at once rather than individually. For the purpose of reliable data, this can cause some unintended issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can make assessments quickly and get fast results to gauge student progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does take extra planning. And it’s hard to remember what students miss and why. I wish it also gad s vomit one time to score written responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The layout could be more appealing. Also, the scrolling feature is not very practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In terms of testing, I love the ability to not only use the developed test banks, but the ability to add to the test bank using the same images, create your own test quests and the ability to upload them as well as graphics to resource. In addition, all of the platforms are seamless and the teacher is able to move from one to the other or place multiple resources together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
some of the set-ups are inflexible and don't allow for customization for some of the applications - especially in areas like science where some of the questioning and images for testing are really class specific Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spacing is odd. When writing essay or short answer questions and making a list within, they don't print the same way it appears on the screen during creation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about using Examview is that I can use the questions offered to match specific learning goals. I also like the fact that the questions are easily modified to fit various learners and time periods. Another important attribute of Examview is that I can use it in a digital survey format that keeps students anonymous while giving them the feedback that is essential for keeping them focused on the learning goals. I have no dislikes other than Examview does not seem to correctly be read when I use BizHub to print copies of exams. I have to print one copy and then submit that copy manually to create the number of tests I required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
