  ### 5. Virtually Indispensable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal C. | Adjunct Business Statistics Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

Test banks that align with text, ability to make multiple versions of assessments for better test validity.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

It would be nice to be able to print the different versions without printing the answer keys.

Absolutely recommend this product. Flexible, adaptable, easy to use, any of a hundred other positive adjectives. User is able to add test questions from multiple test banks to one test, making comprehensive exams easy to create. Exams can be changed from multiple choice to short answer with the flip of a switch, custom questions can be created, really just an excellent assessment software.

Assessment of student learning.

  ### 6. Convenient Test Generator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon H. | 2nd Grade Teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

This program creates exams from a bank of questions that are directly connected to the content it is assessing. This ensures that the information has already been covered with the students. I also appreciate the question analysis that is provided, identifying the level of complexity, depth of knowledge, and Bloom's taxonomy being assessed.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

The test generator can be difficult to navigate at first. and it only saves in that program's format. The loophole, however, is to use the "print to PDF" format, so that you can save it in a more convenient way.

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

Try it out! It is a great tool, as long as you are willing to take the time to figure out how it works.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This makes creating and preparing assessments much easier, saving time to complete other tasks.

  ### 7. ExamView - Highly Recommend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher W. | Program and Practicum Coordinator, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

I like the ease at which you can view questions and easily add them to a test.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

Nothing comes to mind. There are no distracting frills and everything is useful.

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

Contact the publisher to see if their Test Banks can be provided in ExamView format. Many publishers use alternate software, but I try to use ExamView when possible to have banks readily available for exam creation that does not require logging into another site but can be run directly from your own computer.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software saves me formatting time in word. It is relatively easy to create a test bank and then create exams from the bank.

  ### 8. ExamView is great software for teachers, but not optimal for science

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2018

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

This allows me to create assessments with consistent formatting and design, usually with significantly less effort than it takes to do so in a traditional word processor. It also does a great job of integrating many EV test banks together from multiple sources.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

It's a big challenge to bring materials from other formats into ExamView. Additionally, it's very challenging to format things into appropriate scientific formats if writing your own materials or manually bringing them into the software.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't use it as much as I would like to because in many cases, it's just simpler to do things in Word instead.

  ### 9. User friendly and aesthetically pleasing but limited

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wesley D. | English Instructor & Teacher Leader, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

ExamView is incredibly easy to use and looks great. Unlike other similar platforms, you can put together assessments easily and track them just as easily.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

This is part of the nature of the product, but while easy to use, ExamView does tie you down to a textbook in my experience and doesn’t allow for the ability to adjust the experience for supplemental materials. I also worry sometimes that when assessment questions are broken down into standards that occasionally multiple standards are addressed at once rather than individually. For the purpose of reliable data, this can cause some unintended issues.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When using five week interim assessments throughout a semester this allowed for rigorous, grade level material to be included throughout without having to reinvent the wheel or unintentionally produce sub-standard material due to time constraints.

  ### 10. Test Generator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela T. | Professional Educator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

You can make assessments quickly and get fast results to gauge student progress.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

It does take extra planning. And it’s hard to remember what students miss and why. I wish it also gad s vomit one time to score written responses.

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

THe questions were easilyvaccess

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it easier to develop and score student assessments. It gives clear reports of the data collected.

  ### 11. Tricky to get used to at the start

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2018

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

I like the online assessments and data collection.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

Interface is convoluted and can be challenging to learn

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data collection and organization

  ### 12. ExamView is useful, but not that intuitive.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

I like that examview makes preparing for tests easier.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

I dislike how clunky the software feels. It feels a little dated. I would love to see an update to the software that made using Examview more user-friendly.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Examview to create tests for the textbooks I teach out of. The benefits are that I have a bank of questions I can pull from easily.

  ### 13. Exam is GREAT!

**Reviewed by:** Kevin G. | Educator, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

I like how this product allows teachers to quickly build and customize assessments. The data analysis tools that come with the program allows for quick identification of standards that need addressing before moving on to other lessons.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

The program can be very pricey for teachers.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product will allow for employee testing, surveying, data analysis, trend analysis.

  ### 14. Helpful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

Examview is helpful for creating tests and pulling certain questions out.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

This software is becoming less key to creating exams. With the surge of google and information that’s available, it’s not needed anymore.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to create effective exams.

  ### 15. Educational benefits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

The possibility of having a data bank readily available as well as the interactivity of examview player.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

The layout could be more appealing. Also, the scrolling feature is not very practical.

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The extra practice it provides to students.

  ### 16. Classroom Science Teacher

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2016

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

In terms of testing, I love the ability to not only use the developed test banks, but the ability to add to the test bank using the same images, create your own test quests and the ability to upload them as well as graphics to resource. In addition, all of the platforms are seamless and the teacher is able to move from one to the other or place multiple resources together.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

some of the set-ups are inflexible and don't allow for customization for some of the applications - especially in areas like science where some of the questioning and images for testing are really class specific

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

make available to a wider array of texts that are found (more than Pearson) since the format is good but the resources for class need some development to be "teacher friendly"

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy of dissemination of information to students and the development of online resources to help my classroom and students succeed better have been promoted through this product. Very friendly with the text book that we use in class

  ### 17. Used to create new and use existing test banks for review, assessments, etc

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2016

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

User-friendly, can add own questions, many types of questions available, can export to a web-based test

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

Spacing is odd. When writing essay or short answer questions and making a list within, they don't print the same way it appears on the screen during creation.

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

ability to create in-class review games would be nice

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adequately assessing student learning and tracking it

  ### 18. Using Examview for Learning and Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2015

**What do you like best about ExamView?**

What I like best about using Examview is that I can use the questions offered to match specific learning goals. I also like the fact that the questions are easily modified to fit various learners and time periods. Another important attribute of Examview is that I can use it in a digital survey format that keeps students anonymous while giving them the feedback that is essential for keeping them focused on the learning goals.

**What do you dislike about ExamView?**

I have no dislikes other than Examview does not seem to correctly be read when I use BizHub to print copies of exams. I have to print one copy and then submit that copy manually to create the number of tests I required.

**Recommendations to others considering ExamView:**

Check to see if the software you are using to input student grades is compatible for Examview Assessment Suite

**What problems is ExamView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits realized by using Examview is an increase in efficiency, a more lucid stating of learning goals, and the presence of a testing format that can be used to differentiate instruction.
