"Great Reminders Pane, but Pulse’s Inefficient Boarding Calendar and Daycamp Pass Tracking is lacking"
What do you like best about Covetrus Pulse?

The slide out Reminders pane, this gives us the ability to get a very quick view of what vaccines, bloodwork, treatments they are due for and whether or not we can refill medications. It also allows us to look at the Alerts and Allergy alerts quickly while making quick an decisive decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Covetrus Pulse?

The boarding calendar is not very useful for our busy boarding facility. You can only see 1 week at a time, it is difficult to schedule a boarding stay for an animal that is longer than 1 week because the drag feature is slow and you can't plan ahead to see when that Cage or run is already booked with a reservation. In fact, the calendar is so bad that we are still using Avimark's calendar(our previous PIMS) to schedule boarding reservations since pulse is so clumsy and stressful and slow. Another thing we dislike is that we can't keep track of Daycamp boarding passes; in Avimark we could sell a package of 10 or 20 passes for day camp and it would keep track of how many passes an animal has for day camp each time we check them in for boarding on any given day. Pulse we have to manually count how many times a camper has been in and then manually keep track of how many passes they have left. It slows down checkout immensely. "Too Many Clicks, Inaccurate Inventory, and Cumbersome Reporting in Pulse"
What do you like best about Covetrus Pulse?

There is honestly not much I like about Pulse. It requires far too many clicks to complete even simple tasks, which slows down daily workflow and creates unnecessary frustration for the team. The inventory system does not track accurately, making it difficult to rely on counts and manage ordering effectively. The software also downloads an excessive amount of data onto individual computers, which impacts performance. When we need something added or updated in Pulse, the process feels overly complicated and time-consuming, requiring multiple steps and follow-ups. Additionally, the reporting feature is not user-friendly—reports are difficult to navigate, and you cannot pull all the necessary data in one comprehensive report, which makes analyzing performance and making informed decisions more challenging than it should be. What do you dislike about Covetrus Pulse?

I strongly dislike everything about Pulse. The system is inefficient, cumbersome, and frustrating to use on a daily basis. On top of the ongoing functionality issues, the price has increased, which makes it even harder to justify given the challenges we experience. I am also disappointed that it is associated with Covetrus, as that connection has not added value to our experience. Overall, it has not met our expectations operationally or financially.
