First off, the people at Empyrean are great to work with, which matters a lot when trying to fix issues or get something custom/nuanced implemented. Empyrean is always trying to improve the member experience and finding ways to improve their prodcut/technology. The employer portal is very easy to use and provides a lot of useful information on active employees, terminated employees and retirees. They can work with you on customizing reports for you as well, which I appreciate because it helps alleviate some work on my end. The call center can be a little inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get someone great that knows a lot about your company's benefits, but sometimes you'll get someone that needs more guidance from their manager or doesn't provide a clear answer to the member. This can cause a negative experience for members, and then the Benefits team hears about it. However, the majority of the time it's a positive experience - it's only been about a handful of times where there have been dissatisfied members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
