"Does The Job...But That's About All"

What do you like best?

EmployeeScreenIQ Basic does what most screening programs can do: criminal history, motor vehicle checks, social security verification, and that's about it. Additional packages can be purchased for additional services like: credit report, work history and education verification. Each package provides different levels of availability. In reality, the service does what it's supposed to do.

What do you dislike?

There are times that we need all packages and the cost structure just isn't justifiable. There should be an option to purchase the full package of all services for a discounted price, because we don't always need all the services, and only use some of the services available 1-2 times per year. The website also isn't as professional and functional as most other employee screening product sites.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

For basic employee screening, this product does the job. If you want more in depth employee screening tool that you trust as being 100% correct and verifiable, look at other screening tool options.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Yes, I can check out each employee prior to giving them an employment offer, yet I often have my doubts about the complete story provided by EmployeeScreenIQ. The benefits are that I have a "complete" screening of a potential employee, yet I do doubt their complete accuracy. There is just something that I don't fully trust with this product. Maybe it's the website that is clunky and not cleanly functional. We do use another product, and this is our secondary back-up product at this time.

"Not My Favorite"

What do you like best?

Not very much. In my experience, Sterling needs to do a competitor analysis and completely revamp their level of customer service.

What do you dislike?

Slow response time when you reach out to them. Poor customer service. Actual screening is fine, but the data input component could be streamlined and made more efficient for the administrator.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Hire great candidates and establish and use an efficient hiring process for clients.

"Not very thorough"

What do you like best?

Quick turnaround and ability to get regular updates.

What do you dislike?

Some states took longer than others and no notes or updates were provided in database.
