**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James C. | Digital Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The best thing about Emma is that it is one of the most influential platforms for marketing and comes with great features. You cannot resist its impeccable ability to boost sales through the best email transactions. Thus, this software drives the best results by providing services for all sorts of establishments. Hence, there is no size limit for team making and collaboration here.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

First and foremost, Emma's email marketing software doesn't offer unlimited features. Thus, even in their paid version, some features are missing which is quite weird. Moreover, the customization options for HTML tags are also limited and you cannot exceed that limit. The limited and restricted approach to certain features makes this one less demanding.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In concern to the advantages then, you will love the aesthetic dashboard with an intuitive style that motivates the users to do work. Moreover, this software integrates quickly and without any hassle through multiple platforms. In this way, you can configure many networks using this software. On the whole, the Emma email marketing software is highly suggested by professionals and newbies can also use this one without any training. Thus, install this one and the free version first to understand command execution here.

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It provides ease to the users for creating and summarizing results. It is easy to update and add new contacts on this platform. It allows people to manage their list of emails. It has great integration with other applications. Users can also edit them for a long time as well. There are certain different features in this regard.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There are some glitches and errors which cause it to shut immediately in the middle of users’ work. The price of this platform is higher than other applications. The analytics can be outdated at times.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is simple, easy-to-use and understood platform. The layout design is easy and user-friendly. The customer support system can be helpful and it is responsive. It is a flexible and extensible platform. It gives users the ability to make their templates. It is a unique and useful option as most applications do not offer it.

  ### 4. EMMA REVIEW (G. O. A. T) GREAT OF ALL TIMES

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew T. | PHD DEVELOPER , Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Easy to use
Easy to send mass emails, it's UI is very simple
Great customer support

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I have no dislike about it it offers all our needs

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to communicate with teammates and clients +50,000 contact

  ### 5. Easy to get locked in to paid package & questionable business practice (mediocre product)

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The platform itself is simple to use but is very basic in terms of features.

Exporting data from the system is possible, but is painfully tedious - it does not export in an easy-to-use format.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Be warned. There is no way within the platform to unsubscribe. Instead, you have to send a chat / form to cancel the subscription, from which they provide no receipt. After removing our payment details from the account & 3x months passed, one assumes the account was closed correctly and they've forgotten to send confirmation. Instead, 3 months after you'll receive threatening letters (no call, no email) direct to the accounts dept. start being received.

I would strongly advise using other providers who offer more functional platforms at a lower cost. Business practices such as these, locking subscribers in without the platform offering an unsubscribe option itself, should not be put up with in today's world.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have now unsubscribed and moved to Mailchimp. Overall Mailchimp provides all MyEmma functionality, at half the cost with the package we are currently on. Support really friendly and kind, unlike MyEmma's minions.

  ### 6. Emma is an exceptional tool for email marketing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philips A. | Marketing and CRM Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma Email Marketing has a great range of templates variety when we need any sort of templates. They provide us template that we are looking for so that we can start our marketing with the required templates. For a quick turnaround, we can edit and archive templates according to our templates. For quicker changes swapping of images from a gallery is very feasible. They allow us to create email campaigns so that we can make our business more updated.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Emma Email Marketing has very restricted features whether there are email fonts or formats of text creation they limit us to certain features. Their inline HTML customization is very limited and provides us access to only certain features and updates and sometimes. Sometimes formatting is very clunky. They should provide us access to everything we need so that we can easily accomplish our projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma Email Marketing is recommended for those who want to keep their design simple and elegant.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma Email Marketing is the only platform that allows us or our company to send a newsletter that does not get flagged instantly as junk files. We can easily create campaigns and we can also use them later. They enable us to send massive emails to our clients and colleagues. It’s helpful when we want to update newsletters and emails. They help us to regularize email communication with our clients and colleagues.

  ### 7. It could use some improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa R. S. | Digital Media & Marketing Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is a simple software that allows you to create great email campaigns. It is also the only software that allows our company to send newsletters that don't instantly get flagged as junk. I like that you can create campaign and later used them as templates which is extremely useful and saves you a lot of time down the road.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The templates available are really not that great. Inline HTML customization is very limited. Formatting it is really glitchy, if you add code in the back and forget that you did, then go back to add something as simple as italics/bolding to a word, the inserted code will disappear, which can make you lose a lot of time. But the thing I dislike the most is not being able to set certain things differently in mobile screens, margins and columns are set in stone.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Try to keep your design simple and with the least amount of custom code to save you headaches.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this software to send internal and external newsletters to keep our audience informed with news and events happening in our company. We also keep our contact lists organized with tags and groups within Emma.

  ### 10. Works for What I Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly B. | Graduate Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma gives me the ability to send mass emails to my students, which is helpful when I want to create update newsletters or send something that looks a little more professional than a regular email. Even before COVID, I relied on regular email communications to provide the hundreds of fraternity and sorority students with important updates and news. Emma made it easy to send emails that were both rich with content and also aesthetically pleasing. The system also made it easy to track how many people read the emails and clicked on the links I embedded for different websites, surveys, and forms. One time, I used Emma to send out a sign up sheet to students for assistance in planning an event, and while none of the students signed up, I could see which students had opened the email and clicked the link for the sign up sheet and considered signing up. I enjoy the simplicity of clicking on a format I like and inserting photos and text, and while it is not the best interface, I still find it to meet my needs as a professional in higher education. I also like that accounts on Emma can be shared so that my coworkers and I can collaborate on newsletters and other emails.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I do not like how restricted I am when using Emma's features. There are not any font choices; there are just different formats of text blocks to use. The preset email formats are somewhat dull and do not always fit what I want in a newsletter. The text boxes and photo boxes are not formatted smoothly, so I have trouble adjusting them to look like a product I would be proud to send out to my students. There are few formats available at all, which limits what I can create. I wish I could move around the features more fluidly and have more customization options, like more prominent platforms like MailChimp, allow. I am also frustrated when I go to fill out some of the final pages of Emma's emailing function, as I have trouble navigating where to add the emails of students and how to create new mailing lists or pull from previous ones. It is also challenging to get the photos placed correctly within the boxes because Emma requires the user to preset the photo size and placement before seeing it on the page. Another thing I dislike is the limit on how many newsletters can be sent and how many recipients can receive them. This limits what I can do with Emma over time, mainly because my employer would not pay for extra storage or functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I would recommend that Emma users consider other platforms that might meet their needs more fully. Emma has plenty of flaws that may affect how users can interact with the recipients of their emails.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to solve the problem of sending mass emails to hundreds of students and making sure they read them. I can also see who has read the emails and who is clicking the included links to the surveys, forms, and web pages I often include. I would recommend Emma to anyone who sends out mass emails and newsletters, as I appreciate the home page function and the mass emailing abilities. I would also recommend it to anyone who is sending out a link for a survey or form so that the person can view who has clicked the link, even if they did not complete the survey or form. This helps a lot when the email recipients are procrastinating on filling something out and are trying to conceal whether they actually received the form or survey.

**Reviewed by:** Abhay P. | Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

My overall experience with Emma is very good and I have developed multiple email marketing campaigns for my promotional campaigns through which we are sending hybrid offers to the customers, sending trigger campaigns like birthday emails, point expiry emails campaigns which take care one-to-one personalization and created multiple API events through which we are sending all our real-time email campaigns to our customer regarding their purchase made on online website and mobile application.

I do not have any dislike for this platform and I am really happy because Its taking care of all my email campaigns end to end.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Really good for taking care all of the email campaigns and I recommend it to everybody.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we used to pass the flat files to other vendor who was deploying all our email campaigns but after purchasing Emma license, we are now all email campaigns end to end whether its promotional campaigns, trigger campaigns or real-time campaigns.

  ### 14. Emma Newsletter

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like how many options there are for designing a newsletter. The feature to check the campaign logistics is also quite nice when testing out new links.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I find the template and columns quite limiting. It's a little tricky overall to navigate and make a clean email appearance. Like getting background colors and then the text still show up white behind is frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It's great for simple-moderate designed emails. Has a great preview feature, easy drag elements, and a nice tracking feature. If you want a more advanced design, it might become tedious.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Emma to contact grad students about their education programs - important dates and informing of other items. This allows us to track who all has received, clicked, and opened the email. We like the drag and drop feature.

  ### 15. Great Email Builder for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

A novice-friendly solution for building email campaigns. The drag and dop builder is intuitive to use, while giving enough granular control to really customize it where you need to.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Can be difficult to get it to do exactly what you want. It does have its quirks that can take some getting used to. But I think all similar products have similar issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Keep working with it, it can be finnicky but you can get it to work eventually. It actually has a decent level of customization if you really get into it. We were able to customize a unique newsletter format that has been received very well by our email list compared to others we used to send.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email campaigns mostly. The benefit to us is seeing the campaign scores to see whats working and what's not. The campaign scores really helped us to narrow down what our audience is responding to and what they're not. It helped us learn what not to waste time one and where to focus our efforts.

  ### 16. Great digital communication tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

My organization switched to Emma from Mailchimp because it has more specific options for opting out of some mailing lists without opting out of all mailing lists. It also syncs nicely with Kindful, the donor management system that we use.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It is sometimes very challenging (glitchy) to resize images, which is very important for us as we advertise upcoming events with images. (Plus, who would want to read through a newsletter with images that are all randomly sized with no consistency? No one!)

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

n/a

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, subscribers have more options for opting out of certain mailing lists without opting out of all our mailing lists. The latter was the only option with our previous communication tool, Mailchimp - this led to us unnecessarily losing many members of our audience.

Also, Emma is pretty intuitive and user-friendly overall.

  ### 17. Easy-to-Use Email Platform, but Reporting Was Always a Hassle

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is perhaps one of the best-recognized names in email marketing, and for a good reason. It has all of the must-have features of any modern email platform, and given its position in the email marketing space, it has top-notch support and is regularly updated to keep in line with MailChimp and other big players in the space. In my few years working within this product, our team only ever had one or two instances of downtime, so it's fairly reliable based on my understanding as well.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Because my role within Emma primarily revolved around data collection, analysis and reporting, I often found myself struggling with pulling easily digestible data points without having to jump through hoops to get there. Not only do I wish there were more internal dashboards and reports, but I wish it had been easier for me to export data more frequently.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma served as the primary email automation platform and email marketing tool for a handful of clients. They made it relatively easy (and cost-effective) to send out emails to highly segmented lists -- all to the benefit of our clients' bottom-line.

  ### 18. Great no complains

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mirco C. | Client Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Works as advertised, I haven't had any issues with it, and the customer service is exceptional, they will reply to you very quickly. the software is very user friendly

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

They will ask you to upgrade your program and do a lot of upselling; personally, I haven't had any problems with the primary and cheapest offer, so I would recommend the first one

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

choose the cheapest offer

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me save time with email marketing; its simple design and user-friendly interface make the work straightforward. By using it, I cannot count the hours that I have saved

  ### 19. Works good with Firespring website

**Reviewed by:** Marissa E. | Marketing Technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The process to send and layout emails is easy.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There are some limitations unless you have custom templates built. Also, you cannot recall a message or make edits (have to resend) if there is an error.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are communicating with our members and outreach with donors and our people supported.

  ### 20. Sending mass emails is not a big deal now

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah D. | Senior E-commerce Strategy Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Email’s was, were, and will always be considered as an essential part of professional communication among clients as well as customers. We have been using Emma for a few years now and honestly, it works so well for us. We use Emma for marketing our campaigns, target our specific customers and audience as well as send targeted emails for subscriptions and promotions to our targeted customers.

Its formatting could be improved and furnished if they introduce some more options. Some users also complain about lag, it sometimes get vprolongedand takes forever to load. Some also ccomplainthat their emails go to spam, which of course is not very often buy ssometimeshappens.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 21. Not user-friendly

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is able to send mass emails easily.

Emma makes it difficult to manage unsubscribes and bad email addresses.

Mass email communications. Emma is able to send out mass emails.

  ### 22. Use to use Emma, not so much anymore.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob B. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma used to be a ground-breaking software platform for email marketing. They were one of the first doing decent email marketing. The company was easy to work with and the tools worked well.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Emma has not evolved their functionality or user interface as well as their competition. The email building tool is clumsy. The customer service is friendly but underwhelming. Everything seems to have a bit of friction to it.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I would advise you to find other solutions for email marketing and automation.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, I had all of our clients using Emma for email marketing. It was easy to use, and the support was friendly and helpful. The software did what it was supposed to do, and it worked well.

  ### 23. Email made easy with Emma

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma provides a great drag and drop email and landing page solution. It allows marketers to personalize and automate throughout their customer journeys. The ability to A/B test and holisitcally review success and engagemnet metrics gives our specialist the power to make better decisions.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There are a lot of templates, and you can adjust the designs, but it can be time-consuming. Browse the templates first, then pick the one that suits your need best.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a solution to empower our email marketing specialists to segment, customize and analyze their campaigns quickly. Emma made segmentation and building branching logic, emails, landing pages, and reports doable without a developer, designer, or analyst involved.

  ### 25. King of customer-data triggered emails.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna B. | Strategic and Business Operations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Email triggering - No other marketing email provider does this better than Emma. This Emma feature helps send marketing messages to a target audience, by relying on customer data generated with customer activity on our website and their engagement with our marketing emails.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Emma is limited, when it comes to font choices. Rather, it provides us an array of text block formats to select from, thus making it a tedious task creating super attractive email template interfaces, for our marketing campaigns.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an email provider which would trigger marketing geared actions, by relying on customer data and Emma does this better than most. We are getting to send marketing emails to customers, relying majorly on what our data reveals and this has led to better engagements.

There were lots of bugs every now and then. It also was sometimes difficult to control the layout of the emails.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to communicate with my previous employer's 200,000+ contacts.

  ### 27. Love Emma!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saicha C. | Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

We switched from Mailchimp to Emma and I could not be more happy with our decision! It is so easy to put a newsletter together and the end product looks very professional. The statistics are thorough and they assist you in ensuring that your emails hit your recipient's inbox.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I dislike a couple of things. First, is how much space is between each block of text. You are able to edit that space down a bit but it can be a bit tedious to edit. Second is that you are unable to edit image sizes in Emma. I have found a workaround in Apple Photos but it is an extra step that needs to be done in order for your images to be the same size.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main reason we switched over was because I wanted an easy template builder that didn't require a lot of work. Further, I wasn't happy with the end product of Mailchimp. Emma looks much more sleek and assists you in delivering your emails to your recipient's inboxes.

  ### 28. Easy to create beautiful emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taby A. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is simple - the WYSIWYG editor is easy to use, and the ability to tweak things in the HTML is excellent. I like it better than other email marketing platforms I've used. As an admin, it's easy to change permissions and onboarding new colleagues has been relatively easy for both those who have used an email marketing tool and those who have not.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It has some quirks, especially in the template builder. I've been able to get past them, though by editing the HTML. Support is also helpful with these sorts of things.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are reaching our audiences and tracking email engagement. We currently use an agency setup (longtime customer), and we're likely transitioning to fewer accounts so we can use the subscription management tools and give our users more choice.

  ### 29. Mediocre tool, terrible customer support

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The interface to create and build emails is intuitive, a beginner at email marketing could send an email

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Inability to batch download results! Minimal design templates (colors, fonts, layout) and terrible customer service. No support at all

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

1. Be familiar with email marketing; customer support is not good.
2. Understand they do not have many features an advanced email marketer needs

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nurture emails to existing database targeting all parts of the funnel. It saves time if you add several groups to an email, then check individual results.

  ### 30. Emma: Easy to Use and Effective Email Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Utilizing Emma has allowed us to easily create, manage and analyze our email communications to various audiences. The platform is very used friendly and we have been to successfully integrate it with our existing data.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

At times the formatting capabilities, while overall easy to use, can be a bit clunky and take some trial and error to get everything looking correct.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since our communications are being sent to many different audience segments, Emma easily allows us to built and edit groups of emails. We are also able to have multiple users create and edit communications before they go out. The analytics have also help with better understanding what communications are the most effective.

  ### 31. Emma's Simplicity Makes E-mail Campaigns a Breeze.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Digital Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The ability to integrate with Salesforce. Very easy to create campaigns and duplicate campaigns for future reuse. The reports are very insightful and help in understanding which messaging works best A/B testing capability. A very responsive customer service team with phone support.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It would be nice to be able to place images wherever you want to no matter which template you are using. Although there are a lot of themes to choose from some of holiday theme templates are limited.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

You have to examine your business needs and the functionality required. The Emma platform is an easy to use and administer.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma helps us communicate with our customers in an efficient manner and the reporting helpps us to quantify the effectivenes of our messaging.

  ### 32. Emma Brings New Email View Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like that it is a drag and drop editor. There are also good templates provided, if you aren't starting from scratch. The biggest benefit and why I tested Emma out was because of the Litmus preview. It is nice to have a better idea of what other people are seeing when they use different devices. This also works nicely with the preview and proofing function -- to further check messages before sending them out.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It offers more than just the standard services. But I found that it was a bit more expensive than the levels I needed. So I had it for awhile, but then was paying double (2 accounts), so that is why I stopped using it. If had the ability to create hot spots -- I would get rid of all my other accounts and use Emma.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

This is a valuable tool that you might use all the time or just for certain projects. I just wish I had an unlimited budget and could have all of these or get all services in one spot. This is likely a great solution for many people. But for me, it was just too much each month for this and my other email programs.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My challenge is that my clients want to be sure an email looks the same for everyone -- no matter what device they are using. So that isn't really realistic. But by using the pre-send and Litmus features -- it makes my job a little easier and happier clients.

  ### 33. Updated builder, clunky product

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Customer support has been super helpful, though it take a while to find their phone number

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The platform is clunky at best. There is a new drag and drop email editor, but it still comes nowhere near the functionality of a paid Mailchimp account.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that I'm not fond of Emma at all.

  ### 34. Cloud-based email marketing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew C. | Senior QA Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It assists marketing teams in designing email campaigns and analyze their performance. It allows you to share lock templates, logos, and manage distributed groups. It helps you turn your busy routines into streamlined branding. It can be used on native apps, tablets, smartphones, etc. It assists users to track performance metrics for the whole program or individual emails. It can be easily integrated with other apps such as Wistia, Salesforce, Front Desk, etc. It provides automation tools and helps in improving email marketing.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes it slows down and takes time to load. It is hard to create automated workflows. It has a steep curve of learning. The code to set up configurable emails is clumsy. One major drawback is that it does not allow you to edit image size. Also, the font style or font color is difficult to change. It shows formatting issues when trying to copy and paste from PDF and word.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy to make newsletters as templates are creative and easy to use. It has an up-to-date dashboard that lets you know about your ranking in the larger community. The customer support is very responsive. The interface is user-friendly. It allows you to duplicate the past campaigns. One major benefit is that it enables you to send emails at a low price. ### 36. Works well for some companies, not all

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It was nice to support a local company by choosing Emma. Their team is local and easy to reach.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It was a little too basic of a platform for our needs. Plus we kept seeing crashes and issues with our lists.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Look at all your options, not just for what you're currently working on, but what you may be able to do in the future.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting in contact with our donors was nice. Keeping the same branding throughout our campaigns was a big plus.

  ### 37. Great option for email marketing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is very intuitive and easy to use. We use it for B2C marketing as well as general communications to stay in touch with various audiences. It's simple to organize your email campaigns as well. They are consistently upgrading the software--offering things like automation and subscriptions. They also offer prompt, personal customer service.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It's difficult to keep images organized and findable. Sometimes the email templates have limitations that are hard to work around.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to perform lead acquisition campaigns that we couldn't before. We use a connecting software that funnels our contact data to Emma from our CRM, and we are now better able to keep audience segments current. The Insights feature solves the problem of knowing what your audiences are/aren't interested in hearing about.

  ### 38. Fits our need

Emma has really good insights that are easily accessible, they also make it really easy to create different audience segments

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The visual customization isn't the easiest to use, and doesn't always make it possible to achieve what I am trying to do

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

A very affordable email system option for non profits!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to communicate with our audience in different segments, and we see better responses when they are segmented

  ### 39. Emma's powerful digital marketing platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ungureanu B. | Marketing Department Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

This program is simple and flexible. This program also provides mail information, which is very helpful for seeking improvement and testing which type of mail works best. Further, its templates are also very creative. The program can also be easily used with internal databases. More, this platform is also reliable and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

This program is a bit cumbersome, and the template font must be changed to another font. Its E-mail delivery may also be delayed. This platform is not sent automatically. More, its Price fluctuations are difficult to manage. Besides, occasionally copying/pasting it from word or other sources can cause serious formatting problems.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program helps us to track the history of email activity. This program also includes many features, including creating specific audiences and groups, testing topics and analysis, copying past campaigns, tracking all errors, clicking and dragging, a powerful photo library.

I don't want to discourage Emma, i felt having CRM system and sales and marketing tools like linkedin, insideview can help with a combination.
keep track of emails you are targetting andwrite a script to have count of incoming and outgoing should be simple from coding perspective.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The method in which it is formatted is adequate but not user friendly

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

most of the platform is clunky and dated. It could use a serious interface update

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest complaint I have is externally the emails set are moved to spam

  ### 43. Mass email software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like being able to decentralize the ability to send mass emails.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It may be a system setup, but it purges email addresses nightly that are not identified as the primary email.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been great to decentralize the process and allow the end-user to have control.

  ### 44. Best move our team made!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I will not name who we switched to Emma from, but switching to Emma was the best move our organization made. It is so much easier to use than the previous email marketing platform we used. Before, everyone was getting frustrated with how the platform was difficult to use and difficult to navigate, that the first email that we sent once we moved to Emma was like a dream. The way Emma works, the way we can send out emails to our alumni and donor base, was something we haven't seen before. If you aren't considering switching platforms, I highly recommend that you consider checking Emma out.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

This is one of the very few platforms that I have zero complaints about; I have nothing negative to say about Emma.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I highly recommend that you at least consider talking with the Emma team. I had a wonderful experience with this platform, and I firmly believe your team will too!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything! Customizable, easy to use, you don't have to use coding to use Emma. Best platform on the market.

  ### 45. Great Program for Email Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin C. | Director of Ph.D. Admissions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Very user friendly. You don't need years of marketing experience to create a great campaign. Also includes lots of features: delayed sending, the ability to create specific audiences and groups, test subjects and analytics, copying past campaigns, keeps track of all errors and those who have unsubscribed, click and drag, great photo library. Also has an Insights tab so that you can continue to keep track of how all your campaigns have been doing--what has worked and what hasn't. Emma includes a lot of great features that I haven't found with other similar programs. During my time in higher education, I think that I've used every email campaign software that there is, and Emma is by far my favorite. As a whole, our company has had a lot of success with this program and will continue to use it in the future.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes the editing/moving features can be a little touchy, and I do wish I was able to reopen the campaign that has already been sent without having to copy it. When I'm working within one group, I also have to always go back and click what group I'm adding people to. I wish it automatically selected the group once I hit "save and add another". Overall, though, these aren't complaints that would deter me from the program.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Definitely give it a try. You won't be sorry. It's a great program with a lot of great features. I've really enjoyed being able to test different subject lines. This has helped me decide what is going to be more successful in the future. I am also able to easily upload contacts from Microsoft Excel to add to my audience, then divide those into certain groups. We also have multiple people that use the program via one account, and we are easily able to keep track of our own campaigns. Emma also gives you a rating based on opens/clicks, etc., so that you can improve your future campaigns. I can say that I've definitely been able to reach new customers just by using Emma. I use it every month to reach my potential customers, and I get responses every single month. It's been the best tool during this pandemic. I recommend it to everyone in my position.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During the pandemic, we have turned to e-marketing to fulfill our marketing and outreach needs. I have been able to successfully reach a lot of new students using this tool. I can also easily keep track of who no longer wants to receive our information and test subject lines to see which one reaches the most people/yields the most opens and clicks. Being able to track this information has been a great help.

  ### 46. Did not stay with Emma.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Breanna S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like how easy it is to configure an email. Uploading pictures is easy enough. Duplicating past campaigns is simple. Day to day use was never a problem.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

They do not have enough in place to keep your newsletter from being compromised by spam. My newsletter got mass dumps of random emails and I had to get a new admin email because of this. I ended up switching to Constant Contact who also has better social media integration. Creating sign-up forms is way too difficult with Emma.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma ended up creating more problems than it solved. I had to do a lot of clean up after my newsletter was compromised.

  ### 47. emma makes it easy to analyze email campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The platform is pretty easy to use for both smaller and larger campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Extracting data from the api for specific campaigns could be easier. The pay structure may not work for you depending on the combination of users/emails you plan to send out.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use emma to send internal and external email campaigns including weekly and monthly office memos, announcements and reminders for events, donation campaigns, etc.

  ### 48. Sophisticated Email Platform for Small to Mid-size businesses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the ability to use dynamic content to provide users with customized emails based on various user attributes.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I dislike that the Subject line field is too restrictive, while it is a best practice to limit it's length, I feel that this should be up to the marketer to adjust as needed.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I send emails in 3 different languages and they helped us to create a custom footer with dynamic content so that the footers were displayed in the readers language.

  ### 49. Emma has made my job communicating to my customers so valuable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tina G. | Curriculum Developer/Trainer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I really have not found anything I don't like. That is the honest truth.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Emma to send my emails, newsletters and landing pages, I am able to get metrics that are so valuable.

  ### 50. Emma for Nonprofits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Very glitchy when designing emails and templates, cost

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly reaching our email list, easily created and usable templates, syncs with our salesforce database to see donor/partner involvement in our users
