It is a complete end-to-end solution that allows users to manage payroll, account payables, receivables, quotes, invoicing, finance and inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are very few integrations available with the available software and mostly it requires assistance from their team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The on-premise version runs pretty reliably. It has most of the features needed to run a service industry business. We've been using Eautomate and ECI software for 15+ years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rebranding software updates as new products to charge you more. ECI's business platform is to charge an exorbitant amount for software "updates" with very few updates happening. Our company has been using their system for 15+ years and have seen very few changes for the tens of thousands of dollars spent on annual update fees. They sell their software products in pieces with each add-on of the software having to be purchased and carrying its own annual update fee. When there is a major update to a piece of software that you've already purchased, and have been paying annual update fees for years, they will rebrand the updated version as a "new product" and make you pay for it all over again while increasing the annual update charges. Refer to E-info and E-info Enhanced, or Remote Tech and Mobile Tech. Those are both updated versions of an older product. Most software companies that are charging you monthly fees for updates will actually give you access to the newest version of the product you've been paying for. ECI does not. This is the case for their on-premise software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to see when all my techs are at any given time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of steps needed to pull report information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Installing the program is an easy next, next, next. Even the many server installs are straightforward and don't require advanced technical skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The very worst thing about EA is the price. You have to both buy it up front and also pay a monthly fee. Also, if you look up the program it says it has this, that and the other feature. But then you can't use the features because a lot these "features" are unlocked by paying more to ECI, or even worse the features are really a separate program you're buying from ECI that uses an interface to communicate with EA. And that is another awful thing about EA. If you buy into the whole package of e-automate with all the features you'll end up installing a whole myriad of different programs, some of which are nothing but interfaces so their other products can talk to EA, including some of their cloud products. It is as if each "feature"/program was written by a completely different programming team that has never talked to the other programming teams. So instead of having a Swiss army knife piece of software what you end up with is a trash bag full of single-purpose tools, some of which you don't even know why you have, but if you remove them, other things stop working. Using EA from day to day is not that much better. At first we were impressed as we were coming from a DOS-based program and it was an undeniable improvement. But there are too many idiosyncrasies to even list. The most annoying to me is that you can spend 30 minutes rearranging columns on a view to what makes the most sense to you, but the program randomly picks whether to save your view optimizations. So I often have to rearrange columns on the fly while on the phone with a customer just so I can see all the important information in a single screen. The program is unintuitive and impossible to use without very heavy training. Getting EA to produce accurate reports equivalent to a Profit and Loss report requires way too much work. If you've ever used a program like Quickbooks or Sage you'll want to tear your hair out trying to get similar information. I hear muttering and swearing coming from EA users all day long. Lastly, the inability to change the columns in invoices is infuriating. Customers hate our invoices because they lack information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Solid for certain industries, especially any that require service tickets/contracts/etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It often doesn't like to integrate with other software and requires custom workarounds. Text is displayed to maximize the quantity of data presented rather than ease of reading/comprehension. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that eAutomate gives me warnings about low inventory levels and keeps everyone on the same page and helps avoid conflicts across the various sales channels and locations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Too many windows and areas you have to navigate to get simple tasks done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is all encompassing and has a great deal to offer in terms of functionality. For a company with multiple departments, warehouses, and locations, this will work great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is involved to a fault, complicated, and confusing. There are dozens of steps for simple tasks. Though you will be sold by their salespeople that this is ideal for any size company, please consider it may not be ideal if you do not have multiple locations, warehouses, or people to pick up extra data entry work. This is ideal for larger companies with multiple departments and locations, that have multiple people handling various roles within those departments. The system is glitchy when entering data (this occurred not only while using alone, but with representatives from the company), and correct data entry is the crux of this system working correctly for reporting. The screens have multiple fields and you must know which ones need to be filled out for reporting to work accurately, however, all fields are visible with multiple tabs showing on screens. The sheer layout makes it challenging to learn the system. The system does not auto fill at times when it would be appropriate, and navigating between fields and screens is not seamless. Quite frankly, it is beyond frustrating. You cannot keep a screen up and navigate to another to check on a piece of information; you need to open a different session to do so. You can easily be locked out of the hosted version if you mis-enter your password twice, and it may take some time to get back up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Might be okay for large corporate businesses for accountability between dozens of employees... still time intensive to learn, complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Never received a proper demo on the system until over 6 months into the conversion, payroll was not included, third-party integrations complicated and difficult to maintain, numerous glitches with the system, locked out of the system frequently, interruptions and low reliability of servers, system requires details in data entry that are not essential to a small business and inhibit productivity, several features are unnecessary and time consuming, quite complicated and confusing, dozens of steps and hundreds of things to learn for each entry or action you try to accomplish, many fields are not used, yet redundant further adding to the confusion and the layers of codes, requires hiring additional personnel just for entering data. Locked into an expensive contract and are forced to pay whether you use the system or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Job management is fairly straightforward - Being able to have multiple pieces of equipment assigned to one company and able to open and close jobs on them all at once saves time and energy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have a very large number of companies we work with and subdivisions of companies, the software does not allow multiple pieces of equipment from different locations / bill codes to be closed together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
