We have been working with this tool for 8 years and we have never had a problem. **What problems is Digital Samba solving and how is that benefiting you?** I design and coordinate training courses for Norwegian and Swedish companies that recruit Spanish professionals. We have been delivering courses via videoconference for 10 years. We have experimented with various tools and can assure that Samba Live is one of the best. Samba Live is a very comprehensive and easy-to-use software for those who are new to the field of videoconferencing, while those who already have experience can take advantage of its full capacity and versatility. ### 4. The students enjoyed writing on the whiteboard. They also enjoyed watching videos and working collaboratively. The system was relatively easy to learn as someone new to the online teaching environment. **What do you dislike about Digital Samba?** The system was difficult to control if you had students in breakout rooms. No matter the support and encouragement of break out room rules, we would still have students in the breakout rooms writing on the board and talking on camera instead of completing the task at hand. I also did not like how powerpoint presentations are downloaded into the system. The formatting is frequently messed up. I rather just upload a pdf. Then that negates the point of putting useful links in the presentations. Which is another thing, the link sharing is very inconvenient. I want to be able to simply put all required links in a powerpoint for the class and click through the slides smoothly. I can't because the links kick the kids out of the platform when they click on the links. I have to put it on the board manually, which is time consuming or in chat, which gets lost easily. There needs to be a much better system for keeping original formatting and link usage. As an elementary teacher the features and systems are not geared towards our elementary learners. **Recommendations to others considering Digital Samba:** I recommend fixing the link sharing features so that students are not kicked out after clicking it. I want to be able to have a link on a powerpoint for the students to click on. Breakout rooms should also have tools and permissions very limited. Teachers should be able to choose which features are turned on during a breakout room session. Recording of breakout room sessions should also be available. Setting up groups also needs to be smoother. We should be able to select a group of students at a time to move into a breakout room instead of having to put the students into breakout rooms individually. That takes up way too much time. **What problems is Digital Samba solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only problems being solved right now with Samba Live is being given the opportunity to meet with my students and to group them into small groups. The students often get kicked out of live learning due to internet issues which interrupts learning. ### 5. It gives the host a lot of control over the flow and organization of the event. I was impressed with all of the options for branding. There are many features that work well in an educational setting. Educators are able to upload any materials, change settings and formatting, turn on and off both their permissions and students with ease, move students into breakout rooms, and write on the board. While the pencil draw tool is sometimes not as smooth in the writing for a math teacher, it does serve as a nice feature. Teachers also can move between breakout rooms very easily and see who is in each of the rooms. **What do you dislike about Digital Samba?** Students often get kicked out of the classroom. In order to keep track of who is coming and going, I have to enable the lobby and it can become challenging to continue allowing students in. Screen sharing often causes students to get kicked out of the platform. It can sometimes be time consuming to turn on and off tool board permissions for students to write on the board. When a student is kicked out of class, it puts them back into the main room and the teacher must move them manually into the breakout room. **What problems is Digital Samba solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is a great space for online learning. A teacher is very easily able to closely mimic a classroom meeting face to face with students as Samba Live enables and supports many of the structures and features that are beneficial to a live online classroom space. ### 7. Firstly it is extremely easy for our students to enter the Virtual Classroom - just one click on their teacher's unique access link. Our teachers can also use OnSync easily even if some of them have quite low tech skills. During our Online Lessons we use the Audio and Video as well as share Lessons Plans easily and utilise the Chat function too. It is easy to enable audience members to speak and present when needed. I also like the different plans so we can scale based on number of participants. **What do you dislike about Digital Samba?** We have quite a few connection issues. People get dropped repeatedly through the webinar. If I enable someone to share their screen and talk it suffers from bad delays, sometimes as long as 5-10 minutes of delay between video and audio. **Recommendations to others considering Digital Samba:** Definitely worth trying out. The only complaint we have had is related to bandwidth issues but the newer version of OnSync is supposed to handle that much better. **What problems is Digital Samba solving and how is that benefiting you?** We started using OnSync one year ago to enable us to better present training to our artists around the world.
