"Powerful CAD tool with robust features"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge’s synchronous technology allows for fast, intuitive editing of models without history constraints. The user interface is clean, and integration with simulation tools is seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

The learning curve can be steep for beginners, especially those without prior CAD experience. Some advanced features require powerful hardware and may lag on lower-end systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good but needs improvement"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge offers a very intuitive interface that makes it easier to start 3D modeling without a steep learning curve. I like that it combines both direct modeling and parametric design, which gives flexibility in creating complex parts and assemblies. The built-in simulation tools and integration with Siemens PLM are also very helpful for checking designs before manufacturing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

While the software is powerful, it sometimes feels heavy on system resources and can slow down when working with large assemblies. Updates could be more frequent to fix bugs, and the community support is smaller compared to other CAD software like SolidWorks, which makes troubleshooting a bit harder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reviewing Solid Edge"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge is an excellent CAD solution that combines powerful functionality with ease of use. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to learn even for beginners, while still offering advanced features that professionals need. The synchronous technology is a real highlight — it allows for fast, flexible design changes without the limitations of traditional parametric modeling.

I also appreciate how seamlessly Solid Edge integrates with other Siemens tools, making it a strong choice for companies that need reliable collaboration and data management. Performance is smooth, even with complex assemblies, and the built-in simulation tools help validate designs early in the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

The software can feel overly complex at times, and the learning curve is quite steep compared to some other CAD tools on the market. Even though synchronous technology is powerful in theory, it doesn’t always work smoothly in practice, and I’ve occasionally run into issues when making design changes on more complex models Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complete and flexible CAD"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

What I like best about Solid Edge is the Synchronous Technology, which allows for fast, flexible modeling—even with imported geometry. It strikes a great balance between parametric and direct modeling, making design changes quick and efficient without the need to rebuild history trees. It's especially useful when working on complex projects with tight deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

What I dislike about Solid Edge is that the user interface can feel unintuitive at first, especially for those coming from other CAD systems like SolidWorks. Some advanced features are a bit hidden or require extra training to use effectively. Also, the user community and third-party plugin ecosystem are smaller compared to more widely adopted platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Edge is a powerful CAD tool with robust features but a steep learning curve"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge provides an intuitive interface for 3D modeling and a very rich set of CAD features. The synchronous technology makes it easy to update designs without breaking constraints. Integration with other Siemens PLM tools is also very useful, especially for collaboration and managing large projects. The stability and performance when handling complex assemblies are strong points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

The main downside is the steep learning curve, especially for new users. Some advanced features require significant training, and the documentation could be more user-friendly. In addition, integration with third-party tools is not always seamless, and licensing costs can be relatively high for small companies. More tutorials and better customer support would improve the onboarding experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

There are plenty of files that make the software a little heavy to use. It is necessary to make the software less heavy for users, especially for those who do not have high-performance computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerfull yet Accessible CAD Tool for 3d design and learning"
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid edge offers a professional grade 3D CAD experience with tools that are intuitive enough for personal projects or learning purposes. I like how it balances parametric and direct modleing, which makes the design process more flexible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

The installation process can feel a bit heavy, and it requires a powerful system to run smoothly especially when working with complex assemblies Some of the advansed features like simulation or electrical routing can be overwhelming for new users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
