Pillar-based marketing is an excellent SEO strategy. The way DemandJump thinks about and defines good SEO strategy makes a lot of sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is buggy and slow and really difficult to use. When you pay this much for software, you expect it to work amazingly out of the box. You shouldn't have to know all of its "gotchas" and try to avoid them. The Looker-based dashboards are just insufferably slow. They sometimes take 10 seconds or more to load.
The data model seems to lack quality and consistency. For instance, when researching a pillar, DemandJump indicated the pillar had about 90,000 monthly searches. When I actually set the pillar as one of my two available pillars (which can't be changed), the software indicated there were in fact 2.5M monthly searches for this pillar. The lack of consistency creates some uneasiness around the veracity of their data model.
Support is intermittent. Sometimes they're right there. Other times it takes hours to get a response.
Above all, however, I was really frustrated with the way they handled my account. I accidentally signed up for a year when I had actually intended to sign up for a quarter. However, they refused to change my plan even after several emails back and forth explaining my case.
I would definitely not recommend DemandJump. Maybe in a few years once they have figured things out. For now it's too painful, too expensive, and I have concerns about its data quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
