## Datadog Reviews
  ### 1. Ensuring bug-free software with Datadog

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Service Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

When it comes to monitoring our database servers and cloud applications, I love the reliability that Datadog provides. It allows me to work on my computer knowing that everything is running smoothly, while providing a safety net in case something goes wrong or starts to consume too much power. This way, I'm able to quickly identify problematic processes and fix them before any serious damage is done - which gives me tremendous peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I do not like that Datadog requires users to register somewhere else if they want to upload a profile picture. It's too time-consuming and unnecessary for me, as it would be easier not to submit an image at all than to go through the tedious process of creating or finding an avatar, downloading it, and then uploading it to their platform.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataDog has helped me eliminate the surprise of server resource outages by providing proactive alerts so I can identify and resolve problems before they affect our customers.

  ### 2. Best observability tool by far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It is an all-in-one platform meaning that in just one place you'll have log management, APM, infrastructure metrics, RUM, monitors, dashboards and even notebooks so you can document everything you're doing and share it with your team.

It is generally straightforward, and the Datadog team constantly releases new valuable features to improve the user experience.

The agent installation is simple for every platform you'll need and has many options depending on your use case.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The lack of a log management language (such as Splunk's SPL) will not allow you to get much information from your logs unless you configure them immediately. If you work in a big company with thousands of users and dozens of teams, it will be a painful experience trying to make them follow a logging standard. In this case, a log management language will be helpful.

The agent configuration lacks the option to set mandatory attributes or tags. This would help configure the agent properly, making every team follow a defined standard.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For more prominent companies, it allows us to monitor thousands of containers and pods with an easy way to visualize their behaviors. This directly impacts how quickly the incidents get mitigated because we can easily understand where the problem comes from. This helps reduce the time of outages and save money because of the same.

  ### 3. Affordable Cloud Service Monitoring

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asa T. | IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog has tools that do not require a big learning curve. You can easily manage and monitor HTTP traffic in their dashboard. We can quickly take note of any spikes and spread out the workload.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

It is very robust and easy to learn, but it lacks some key components like automatic detection of devices and standard reporting. If you are looking to monitor network hardware or routers, this is not the software for you, look somewhere else.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a solution to monitor and alert us if there were significant spikes in user usage. We can quickly inform our engineers if there are any incidents that need remediation. They are able to monitor any issues when they release new code. We were looking for a tool that can pinpoint the location of the faulty code.

  ### 4. Hands on the Best all around monitoring platform currently in the world

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eldad S. | Head of Cloud Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring , log management, all this monitoring solution works together for you
Dashboardsa are easy , very easy, allow you to show very fast issues and explain issues and incidents

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Priding , the pricing seems to be a "little" hard to understand and someetime you get overwhelmed by it , mainly with the log management solution that can suffer peaks

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

basically all , easier to find issues in dev and qa , faster debug of production issues , and the watchdog raises things that we didn't even think to check; it's an all-around platform

  ### 5. A surprisingly powerful tool for error logging, analytics, and so much more.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arianna H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

  ### 8. Platform for monitoring and analytics features in real-time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrícia P. | QA Automation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog is a widespread cloud-based monitoring and analytics platform that provides real-time visibility into the performance of applications, infrastructure, and logs. Some key benefits of using Datadog include the following: it allows users to collect and correlate data from various sources, sends alerts based on user-defined thresholds, provides customizable dashboards that enable users to visualize data and gain insights into the health and performance of their systems, and supports a wide range of integrations (such as AWS, Docker and Kubernetes).

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The learning curve for Datadog can be steep, especially for those new to monitoring and analytics. Additionally, the pricing is relatively high compared to other similar tools.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog provides real-time monitoring and alerting for various system components, including servers, applications, databases, and networks. This helps users quickly detect and troubleshoot issues, improving their systems' overall health and performance. Also, Datadog allows multiple teams to collaborate and share data, making troubleshooting issues and identifying trends across various system components easier.

  ### 9. Best Monitoring & Logging Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul S. | Devops engineer, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

We are using Datadog to grab our Nginx server logs & sending alert on 5xx status code to pagerduty. Also we are using this to monitor our all servers CPU & Memory usage.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Overall my experience is good with Datadog. Also there documentation is also excellent. they have provided all the steps with great explanation. They are little bit costlier than cloud providers AWS, GCP for monitoring & logging.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were facing many issues in our application, while response, but we were not familiar about the issue, what exactly happening behind the seen, but when we integrated our application with Datadog, we rescued that it's giving lot of 5xx error in some APIs that we were not familiar of, then we set up alert and fixed all the things, & now it's working fine. And we are in good state regards our application side.

  ### 10. They are all the data I need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog is extremely helpful with organizing and visualizing data and data events across our client base. It helps with the implementation and ongoing client lifecycle process with alerting tools

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Would love to see more support and guidance from the datadog team when we are in the platform with a chat feature or a support feature. Most of my experience using Datadog has been excellent.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is very impactful in helping the implementation process to ensure that we're receiving data and data events in good health from client's websites. Alerting tools are always clutch in letting us be proactive with QA and implementing immediate fixes.

  ### 11. Awesome monitoring and observability tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parth G. | Lead I Cloud engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog has many features that make it one of the best monitoring tools in the market. I like the ease of using these tools and the enterprise support that comes with it. It supports a lot of integration, making it easy for administrators to monitor any services/machine in the organization.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Everything in the product is just good and there is nothing that you can dislike. However I would like them to have some training material/videos. The documentation can be simplified a little.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an organization, we are looking for a tool that can help us with observability, and Datadog does the same. The need to have a monitoring tool to monitor and set up an alert for any running service is being achieved via Datadog.

  ### 12. Superb monitoring tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It makes our lives a lot easier - be it searching logs using complex queries, mapping service requests/latency, dashboards, monitors.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Product is a vast one and thus is a bit complex - specially how to edit and clone various widgests and dashboards.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring our product. Performance management. Error tracking.

  ### 13. Immense Monitoring Feature Set

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog has enabled our team to monitor the health of our deployed services in a very customized way. The breadth and depth of features available on the Datadog platform amaze us. When we find a monitoring need, we learn that there's already a way in Datadog.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadog can improve the big picture view of how their services interact and support each other. It wasn't always clear to us which pieces fit (and how) together to make a solution.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our devops team needs to know when our services are malfunctioning as early as possible. Our customers trust in us is maintained when we alert them to issues/outages before they find out themselves.

  ### 14. Great experience to record the logs of our automatic ML services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

During our automatic scripts (from Machine Learning services) we send various messages to logging, which then get sent to datadog. This is both to document various steps of the data, but also to show crashes when they happen. Then from the DataDog interface we can search for production/staging services, we can search by date, we can search by key words.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

We have the logs from only the past 2 weeks, so we can not find earlier errors. But in general we catch the errors within 2 weeks, so this is not such a big limitation after all.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Record various steps in our ML process (so we can check quality of data), but also identify if there was a crash to know at which step it found.

Then build dashboards that mesure the SLO of our services (like what % of requests were met, what computing resources were used).

  ### 15. Expansive data mining and more, some assembly required

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

The user interface is nice. I get the feeling that you can do about anything with data piped into this platform. The replay feature was helpful to see exactly how the user navigated around the front end.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Session reporting wasn't as verbose and detailed as what I was used to with LogDNA, but this may have been due to our implementation. Seems like you have to have an engineer and data person that are very dedicated to implementation of this tool as well as supporting the team's needs for it.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Error logs, user replays

  ### 16. Much more than just logging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaul A. | VP Projects, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

I was impressed with the integrations part of DataDog.
Our main goal was to centralize activity and audit logs of critical systems in our organization.
We were able to integrate most of our systems in a matter of hours:
JumpCloud, Gsuite, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0 and more.
The instructions were easy to follow, and an integration usually takes only a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Log parsing could be improved.
The logging format is not standard across machines when you have multiple devices with different OS.
If you want standardization, you must set up pipelines to ingest and parse the logs, which I found a bit tedious.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our motivation for choosing DataDog was security and compliance.
We are using DataDog as our Siem: our logs are centralized, we keep track of our IS KPIs, and we set up monitoring and alerts as needed.

  ### 17. Expensive but good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Easy to use, easy integration, have all integration with other providers.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The product is very expensive considering other alternatives in the market.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving monitoring, logs, and SIEM, with easy integration.

  ### 18. Datadog is the best monitoring tools!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago H. | Head of Cloud, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

We have been using Datadog for a while and we are generally satisfied with the product. However, we feel that the support could be improved as it can be slow to respond, and the payment processes are not always clear.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The support is bad, often slow. The help is not enough. Also, many times the prices are not clear and you can get surprises on your bill.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataDog is a powerful, comprehensive monitoring service that helps startups and businesses of all sizes stay on top of their IT infrastructure and applications. With DataDog, you can easily monitor your entire stack, from servers to applications to databases, to get a detailed view of performance, utilization, and other metrics.

  ### 19. Champion for Systems Monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bashir M. S. | Technology Consultant | CTO, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

I like its comprehensive monitoring capabilities, which allow us to track various aspects of our systems such as CPU and memory usage, network traffic, disk I/O, application performance metrics, and more.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Initially, it took some time for me to get familiar with the interface and understand how to set up alerts, how to customize dashboards, and how to navigate through the extensive data provided. However, the support team was very helpful and responsive in addressing my questions and concerns, which helped me become proficient in using the tool.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Comprehensive supervision from the cloud has allowed us to proactively identify potential issues and take corrective actions before they become major problems. This has resulted in improved system performance, reduced downtime, and increased productivity for our team.

  ### 20. Excellent tool for monitoring kubernetes tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankush V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Able to monitor history of pods restart, container restart, cpu/memory of Pods/containers.
I tahs detailed information with logs and events also

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I have not got any demerits of Datadogs as of now

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring live metrics of kubernetes resources.

  ### 21. Datadog for log management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neha B. | Product Manager, Consumer Goods, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It's straightforward to ingest logs for applications deployed through AWS. We can easily apply filters in the dashboard to load or fetch records by date, request IDs, and error levels.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Creating dashboards and viewing he same is quite tricky over data dog. If I want to see weekly, monthly, and quarterly results and analyze them, it's not straightforward.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog helps in detecting system breakdowns, exceptions and errors through alerts.
In summarizing performance or analytics about the any applications which feeds logs into datadog

  ### 22. SaaS monitoring platform that allows many forms of integration and automation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog allows customizable dashboards to show a single view of mutiple data sources. Has real-time analytics. Can also send notifications for any issues or specific metrics set, specifically through Slack is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Mobile format/app format is not great. Takes time to load some data on mobile. The overall dashboard/UI can feel a little cluttered. Mobile mode is not great for viewing.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I guess it's a great idea, and would be an awesome tool to monitor servers across disparate sources. However, the app/mobile is difficult to use. Data and graphs don't load, text is cropped, etc.

  ### 23. Great real user monitoring tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Real time transactions in the application which gave a great input of the performance

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

It was a bit expensive, especially that we forgot to change logging from debug to info

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An inside of the real user experience, dockers monitoring

  ### 24. Great Observability, Amazing APM and Flawless Logging!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivangani T. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It's a one-stop solution for monitoring, logging, metric collection, observability dashboards, application performance monitoring etc. The best thing I like about DataDog is its agent - It monitors apps and infra, collects logs and metrics, and keeps posting it on datadog.com 24x7 and it's great integration support with third-party apps and services

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

So far, There is not anything which I don't like about DataDog; It's better than newRelic, Dynatrace and SumoLogic. So - No dislike for DataDog at all from my experience.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to deal with :-
- Logs: Analyzing, Filtering and creating alerts against log metrics.
- Metrics: Have highly observable application and infrastructure metrics dashboards.
- The best thing about DataDog is we get everything in a single platform.

  ### 25. Datadog to rule them all

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Przemek P. | Lead, Infrastructure Specialist , Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog provides a powerful set of tools for monitoring and optimalization of IT infrastructure, enabling the reliability and performance of monitored systems.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Sometime to much complexed and hard to manage withou proper training and expirience. Requires some knowledge about managed systems for better operations and understanding of the environment.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog's APM feature allows me to identify and diagnose issues with applications, including slow response times, errors, and crashes. This data can be used to optimize the service and infrastructure performance.

  ### 26. Very good observability particularly good in a serverless world

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yan A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog is a perfect APM solution that is probably the best for serverless environments such AWS Lambda or Fargate monitoring. They are also able to monitor standard infrastructure, but where I think they differentiate themselves is with serverless compute.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

It can become quite expensive. This cost adds on top of an already expensive AWS infrastructure monthly bill which can make this cost prohibitive for some, but overall it's well worth the price if you can afford it.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There aren't many options to monitor application performance (APM) for serverless environments, but Datadog is one of them, and it does a great job. We looked at other vendors, but none of them would provide the same level of monitoring that DataDog did.

  ### 27. Data dog features, performance and scalability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chinthaka J. | Information Technology Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Have extensive webhooks microservice management features with support more for applications as well as infrastructure level.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadog configurations screen are more suited for trained or product-savvy professionals rather than tech beginners

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alerts needs to be moved into Microsoft Teams and infrastructure monitoring, including vpn tunnel monitoring

  ### 28. Datadog to sniff out your problems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Using Datadog to investigate network and service issues on your environments where you are struggling to locate issues. It is great to identify a bottleneck in your system. It is simple and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadogs full package is rather costly and may not necessarily be affordable when it comes to small companies that are looking to diagnose a minor issue on the system

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During my time of using datadog I was using it to identify network and service issues within various environments where we were trying to bed down an issue regarding data and they synchronization of such. It's pretty simple to set up yet basic in identifying issues and may require the full package.

  ### 29. Powerful AIO monitoring tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

I like how it allows me to easily find data events, user behaviors thanks to the logs that are easy to interpret. It provides a lot of useful information.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

It has a huge learning curve because it is such an extensive application with so many tools. When using it, many parts of the interface are confusing and not very user friendly.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is helping us with User Monitoring and gathering some alerting for errors, outages, and uptime.

  ### 30. Best tool to monitor the application metrics in cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak M. | Senior software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Tracking the application matrix to understand the feature popularity in the app, also helps us to understand user behavior and count progress on different wizards in the application, etc.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

We've used the Data dog in React mobile application and based on our need we were able to do what we wanted, so no dislike at the moment.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is solving the logging, and metrics logging for the applications, which plays a vital role in understanding how the application is performing and what is popular among our audience/customers. So this is really helpful to see the metric counts records in the DataDog console and see a detailed report based on different perspectives.

  ### 31. Great insights to Error Logs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

There are a lot of different options that can get confusing if you don't know what you are looking for.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us quick access to looking up error logs to determine what is going on. We also get alerts when certain triggers are tripped which helps us respond quickly to issues.

1. Comprehensive Monitoring
2. Easy to Use
3. Powerful Analytics
4. Integrations
5.Customizable Alerts

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Steep Learning Curve: While the platform is generally easy to use, the learning curve for more advanced features is steep.

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

What we like best about Datadog is its ability to provide real-time visibility into application performance, infrastructure, and logs, all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The platform is pretty complex; it can take some time to learn how to use all of its features and may not be suitable for smaller applications.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is solving the problem of monitoring and analyzing large-scale applications, which can be a challenging and time-consuming task.

  ### 34. Verify the logs and failure reasons of API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It is user friendly application which helps users to get logs and other details of each step of ongoing activity. It shows whether the process pass or fail. If failed then which step has error. It gives detail of each step of end to end process.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I didn't find any flaw. This is perfectly fine for me.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Showing me the details of every step.

  ### 35. Lots of information but not super intuitive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sierra M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog has very clean dashboards that are both easy to use and understand.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I wish that Datadog provided more education on how to use the product. The UI is very barebones and not super user friendly, causing me to get overwhelmed by the amount of information on a given page.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main use of Datadog has been to surface errors and address problems in api usage

  ### 36. Best tool for performance metrics monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay B. | Programmer Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

with the help of data dog, I am able to monitor large-scale applications and it can be used to determine performance metrics. The data dog is available as SaaS and it also provides a customized dashboard

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

It is not easy to understand how to use it at total capacity. Initially, it is hard to track the data logs and Its integration with the spring boot project is also tricky. The Custom Dashboard is hard to manage.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is used to generate performance metrics and enable me to create alerts. It also generates performance reports for the application, Data collection becomes so easy.

  ### 37. Excellent tool for data monitoring and logging

Datadog has user friendly interface,it allows me to easily monitor my applications and services across multiple data sources, able to look up an specific error and determine the cause of issue. Livelogs, overall app breakup coverage, trails,CI and monitoring are the best.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

There is nothing to dislike about this product.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in understanding the performance of the system, applications we build.we are able to quickly identify the parts of our applications that are not scaling properly and able to fix them before they create a problem.Accuracy in log monitoring and efficiency in coverage of logs are very benefiting.

  ### 38. much more than what is seen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | CEO, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It has a number of integrations that make it easy to work with.
its use tools are powerful in market monitoring
Constant monitoring allows us to have control of all our services
their customer service is very professional when required of them

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

A very professional quality of service has been maintained where I have not had any problem that is not resolved quickly and in a timely manner.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supervision from the cloud makes it possible to have perfect monitoring that everything is going well and that all the work is going correctly from the datadog facility

  ### 39. Great product with visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan S. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

resource management and visibility. We use it for capacity of our instances as well as alerting and tracking any errors with our infrastructure and deployments.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

There isn't anything I can say that would be a negative about this product.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capacity and infrastructure monitoring of our AWS environment.

  ### 40. Powerful but huge learning curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susannah G. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog is extremely powerful and has extensive documentation. Some of the UI is very user-friendly. The customer service has been incredibly helpful with setup, integrations, and troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadog is so large that to new users it can be overwhelming. At times it felt that even to read documentation or do setup you already needed to be an expert. I still don't quite have a hand on the query language for creating metrics; I tend to reverse engineer those from dashboards.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More extensive observability with tracing, and the ability to consolidate all of our monitors into one service instead of having them scattered through other services.

  ### 41. Great tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thanh N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It is easy to use and has lots of feature. The UI looks much better for me than tool like kibana.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I have good experience with datadog and wouldn't want to change anything about it.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we usually use datadog for debugging when having an incident. For example, with an order reference, we can search on datadog to find out more about the order like what's the status, and checkout id. Where the order fail to create.

  ### 42. Best Observibility platform in Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep J. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Everything you can think about regarding Observability is packed in a single consol.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Too much data.Needs a few interfaces to easily manage it. A little costly.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For an organization having many applications with different solutions can have a single view to check the status on one go.

  ### 43. Awesome utility for us, you guys keep cranking amazingly useful features at high velocity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giorgio D. | Site reliability engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Overview of the full infrastructure, and integration between all layers, (Infra, Databases, Traces,).

Every time we see a "New" badge we have to try it because it "must be good". So thank you for your effort on building those features, and thank you for releasing only "high quality" and complete features that provide ACTUAL value (vs competitors, that don't really do much and lag behind features)

Also big thank you for full OpenTelemetry integration/support. and the Datadog OTLP agent integration.

Keep up the amazing work

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

A bit of heavier lock-in lately, dd-trace is getting a big monopoly to collect reliably all things (traces, profiles, and now, Security (ASM)). I wish there was an open standard for that, or you guys would release an open standard.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It all started with one central place for logs, monitors, alerts, traces.

It then evolved into a central place for service catalog overview, network map/dependencies calculator view.

I hope it will evolve further into one tool to rule them all (More verticals, PagerDuty full replacement, Zoom full replacement, JIRA full replacement)

I'm sure you can kick their butt with your high quality and capacity to execute.

  ### 44. Great Dashboard Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog is an amazing cloud monitoring tool. It manages the complete infrastructure logs and cloud logs. It gives such insightful dashboards which minimum effort.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Its premium version is a bit expensive though.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog immediately warns about the incident. Then escalates the issue based on the priority. It helps figuring out when the issue started and where borderline issue resides.

  ### 45. Incredibly user friendly; I cant imagine developing without it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madison C. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

I'm a big fan of the time filter UI; it's incredibly straightforward and clear. Creating dashboards is very easy and intuitive. As a backend developer I can't imagine a more useful tool.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The only thing I dislike about datadog is that it's very easy to have duplicate monitors or dashboards that end up double charging the company.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog makes incidents and anomalies visible and obvious. Before datadog the only way of knowing there was an outage was via customer reports.

  ### 46. The best monitoring tool for APIs and for Logging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giridharan U. | Technical Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

It was the one stop shop for us to have a monitoring tool and for having a centralized logging solution.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The initial costs were too high. Later, post optimization the costs were reduced.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a centralized monitoring tool was the goal, we have many aws account for which the logging and monitoring solution has to be implemeted. Datadog was one of the tooling choice we had and after our initial trial, datadog was able to address all our needs.

  ### 47. Vast tooling capabilities and resources!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

We are just beginning to explore all the functionality that Datadog offers, and it's so good it's almost overwhelming for a small team. Really appreciate how they onboard new clients and put together customized resources!

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

As mentioned in the like response, it's almost a dislike that they have so many tools because it can be overwhelming. We wanted to prioritize security and posturing, which they are just starting to invest in. They're very responsive to user feedback, so I have no doubt they'll only continue to grow and improve their assortment and ease of use.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is helping us with User Monitoring and gathering some alerting for errors, outages, and uptime. We're likely going to scale with them over time, but I imagine they can do quite a bit with their larger enterprise clients.

  ### 48. Datagdog Enhances Logging & Monitoring Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar B. | Associate Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

The simple yet feature-full UI of datadog & it's ease of integration with new technologies

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadog quota management is an issue & it can happen that you get billed more than expected due to extra logs being pushed to datadog.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring & logging across big infrastructure

  ### 49. Perfect tool to monitor Data, Incidents anything at glance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Puneet S. | Solution Architect (Pre-Sales), APJ, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Easier to navigate UI. Shows most of the information and various customisable dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Steep the learning curve to understand how to customise.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Metric monitor dashboard is super helpful in generating triggers and reports of any downtimes, excessive CPU usage etc.

  ### 50. Amazing Event Monitoring tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit Y. | Software Engineer II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

The user interface of their product is very thoughtful and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Personally I found latency at times in the event delivery

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us give a dashboard for tracking event and driving results from that
