From what I've gathered, ease of use tends to hold up fine for running any single event, the strain shows up more in juggling several events at once, when the same simple workflow that felt effortless for one event becomes a coordination problem across three or four running in parallel. That seems to be less about the software getting harder and more about a small team hitting a capacity limit that no interface can really solve, which is probably why reviewers still call these tools easy even as they describe needing more hands-on support as volume grows.
