What do you like best about Data Point?

Data Point is the only platform I have evaluated that truly connects the boardroom to the shop floor in a single system. The SQCDP framework covers Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People in real time, giving operators and leaders the same live view without manual whiteboard updates or spreadsheet exports.

The UI is built for manufacturing teams, not IT departments. Visual dashboards are clear and intuitive at every tier, from the production line to the executive level. Hoshin Kanri alignment cascades strategic objectives directly to team-level targets, closing the gap between what leadership decides and what actually happens on the floor.

ERP and MES integrations are straightforward without requiring a heavy IT project, connecting seamlessly to platforms including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Oracle.

The AI Operational Intelligence layer learns from the company's own historical performance, recurring issues and corrective actions, as well as how senior leaders make decisions and what outcomes followed. It gets smarter the longer it runs, surfacing insights grounded in the business's own reality rather than generic benchmarks.

What do you dislike about Data Point?

The platform currently lacks comprehensive user guides, which slows independent onboarding for first-time users who do not have a lean background. Navigating the system without structured guidance requires more hand-holding than it should. That said, LTS is actively addressing this with a library of User Guide Videos that will go well beyond a typical text manual, making self-directed onboarding significantly more accessible.

What problems is Data Point solving and how is that benefiting you?

The core problem in most manufacturers I work with is the same: lean standards exist on paper but no digital system makes them run consistently every day. Management visibility relies on weekly reports compiled manually from spreadsheets. Shop floor issues are discussed informally and forgotten before the next shift. Strategic objectives set in the boardroom never reach the production line in a meaningful way.

Before Data Point, clients struggled with disconnected tools, manual data collection, and a persistent gap between leadership decisions and shop floor reality. Meetings were driven by yesterday's numbers at best.

After implementation, daily management runs digitally from the first shift. Real-time SQCDP dashboards replace whiteboards. Tier meetings are structured and data-driven.
