## Cerego Reviews
  ### 1. Easy and Straightforward

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniela M. | Supervisor, E-Learning, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Cerego is intuitive and easy to manage, creating e-learning material was a breeze and managing all 1000+ users in our organization was not a hassle.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Lack of interactivity options. Since it's a linear type of system they don't offer many interactivity options.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

If you don't mind a linear approach to e-learning and are looking for an intuitive, easy-to-use platform this is your go-to.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest one of all is guidelines and procedure knowledge, we wanted to take a simple path to solve knowledge gaps and new hire training needs.

  ### 2. Great for Learning Terminology

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giselle M. | Academic Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

What I like most of Cerego is the repetition feature that, after a while, begins to mark the terms that I might be starting to forget and the way it limits the session to those terms instead of running through all of the terms.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I wouldn't say I like is that I can't mark mastery in some terms that I already know well and would want to skip from review to focus on other terms that I might need to practice more.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

My advice to those considering whether to use Cerego is to review the inner workings of the forgetting curve and to learn more about how Cerego can facilitate the journey of those in need of improving their long-term memory.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Cerego as a student and encouraged other students to use it as a tutor. It solves the problem of reminding students when to re-review terms and pieces of terminology.

  ### 3. Review for Cerago

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith H. | A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

How it makes you go over information multiple days.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Spelling questions that are lengthy or more than 3 words

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

It is great for school.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me go over all of the needed information in the text book.

  ### 4. Definite positive impact on student success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurel R. | Senior Lecturer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The iterative format. Prompting the students to return to the material ensures that it stays fresh in their minds.
I also like using "Progress" instead of a letter grade. It gives students a chance to catch up if they fall behind.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I wish that it was cheaper for students, I dislike adding to their debt burden.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students often struggle with time management. Cerego helps them stay on track with the material. Students have a deeper understanding of the material.

  ### 5. This is a review of Cerego

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

I liked the fact that students are able to try Cerego for free for 30 days and also the adaptive features of the learning process. It does appear to fit with how many students learn today. I also liked the supplementary documents at the bottom of the website, but I was not entirely clear how the final two documents fit with Cerego. I did not have any notable problems with the tech support either

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I was not entirely sure the purpose of the G2 website. It appeared that this was a third party vendor that sold access to Cerego, but this was not entirely clear from the website. If I did purchase the software, I was not clear if I would access it here or at the Cerego website. In regards to Cerego, several students would complain about the process at times as they felt that it was too repetitive and amounted to busy work as they would like to be able to move on to the next steps.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Make sure that the software is compatible with your LMS before starting the process. I also highly recommend using tech support the first time that you are setting it up to help with the integration process.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to use this system to reinforce core concepts that we are trying to cover in the course. I also have tried using Cerego for a partially flipped classroom as students can work on mastering concepts on their own and this can save valuable classroom time for other subjects.

  ### 6. I love the platform and the ease of use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt P. | Associate Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

How easy it is to make content, especially for picture highlighting and inserting video content.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I have to make all my content - admittedly, this is my problem, not a Cerego problem.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teaching neuroanatomy, students perform so much better on laboratory practicals and have gained better insight into the 3-dimensional relationships between brain regions.

  ### 7. Cerego Has Potential

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | Founder & CCO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Great concept and sophisticated technology.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

The interface is confusing, and it's easy to get lost navigating—no clear marketplace for Cerego content.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to do my independent learning and manage my lifetime learning.

  ### 8. Easy to use and effective!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liang W. | Associate Professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The Cerego website and app are very easy to use. The design is really aiming at young college students.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I wish there were more pre-loaded content on Cerego that are fitting for multiple mainstream textbooks.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Check out the content of the flashcards and the use of the platform first. This will help uses to better design the digital learning units.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cerego is useful to review key concepts and definitions. The simple strategy of repeating and adaptive learning is effective.

  ### 9. Cerego has great potential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dave p. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

It has an AI feature that figures out when users are most likely engage with it.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

The predicting of distractors when you just enter text & it generates questions & answer choices is weak.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a bit hard to get a hang of the question formats.

I have a way to check understanding of key concepts before an exam.

  ### 10. This replaced quizzes and tests in my classes and I actually remember the information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela K. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The fact that it works on my schedule. I can engage and learn when I want to

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

At times you just memorize answers and not concepts

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Focus on learning not just results

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me simplify business concepts

  ### 11. Not Useful

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul Q. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Integration for grading in certain LMS is useful when it works

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

We are yet to have a term using cerego that has not been plagued with both significant technical errors and unhelpful support that simply stops responding to emails like a confused pokemon

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Consider a custom implementation of Learnosity or the premium version of Quizlet

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main problem is convincing faculty to not use cerego. Cerego's issues have been helpful in convincing the faculty of this

  ### 12. Helps students remember & learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | Professor of History, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Cerego has helped my students to remember key concepts in my History course.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Students do say it can be a little repetitive, even though it helps

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to help students remember main concepts

  ### 13. Useful learning software for all students

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Cerego enables students to utilize and optimize learning for their courses in their respective learning platform. It allows you to learn subjects in interactive and repetitive ways. It also reminds you to review the materials via emails.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

the software is a bit too simple at times as it only allows users to have same kind of questions repeated over and over again (instead of providing new auto-generated questions). I hope they can use the algorithms to provide new questions or interactive learning activities every time when we use the software to review the material.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Make sure to be fully aware of how to best utilize Cerego by going through a tutorial and read other reviews of this software. This can make the user a better user and perform better at the subject he or she is learning about. Also, please use this software on a daily basis as it will significantly improve your performance by repetitiveness. Using this software once a week or less would not solve your problem or improve your progress. I hope more people can use this software for their own benefit rather than doing it because the school tells you that it's a requirement.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cerego allows users to familiarize themselves with a certain subject you are wishing to learn. The educational institution input the study subject or material they would like their students to learn and allow the software to configure a learning roadmap for the students to partake in.

  ### 14. The best partner you can get

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Horacio N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

It's hard to say only one thing, but I would say, Cerego has provided us with why to deliver a continuous learning experience, by provided curated content reviews according to the learner's retention of information, this also changed or philosophy on grading, now we work on how to develop our team with a true understanding of what they need.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I would say I dislike it, but being a platform that is evolving, the lowlight is that it has some glitches sometimes. But the team works on them fast to avoid a lot of downtimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Try It! I analyzed a bunch of different LMS systems and this is the best out there, not only because of the system, the team behind it works like a true partner, making sure there are able to help you achieve your goals.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of grading the learner and just knowing there is a lack of knowledge, by constantly reviewing the content learners are able to better retain and therefore remember and apply the processes.

We are also able to maintain our global teams standardized and up to date to all the policies and procedures.

As part of the content team, it makes it easy for us to create new content, this allows us to create more content, being a small team that is great for us to be able to achieve our goals. With other LMS systems, it took us a long time and many projects were left undone, only being able to do the most urgent requests.

  ### 15. Excellent practice for students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Students engaged with the course material on a regular basis.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Students have trouble accepting that time away from the material is worthwhile. It's hard to change the "cramming" mentality.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an educator, one problem that is solved is that of getting continuous engagement with the course material. Another is learning in "chunks" instead of waiting until the last minute to cover everything.

  ### 16. Crego Excellent Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Interactive and engaging for the students

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Nothing but the cost in a strict budget is prohibitive. Everything works well.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

A good product, good support and good learning techniques for the students.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just introduced

  ### 17. One of my favorite AI's that I use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marjorie R. | Program Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

That you are able to learn small chunks of information at a time. This is very helpful to keep the information clear and know what is important to learn. I like that we are able to choose what the students are able to learn and keep track of. I also like that you can decide what level the student needs to know before mastery. I use it in my classes and now I have added it to a module that I maintain with our State Component Association.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

That at times the information seems so long or repetitive. I don't like that sometimes it can be really long and the number of lessons can be pretty lengthy. There are very few things that I dislike about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

It is easy to integrate and the students will really like it. It helps keep memories upfront and so the recall is easy and you know that they are getting the right information stored in their brains. I think it is one of the best tools out there and I try to promote it as much as possible.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The forgettting curve and note-taking. We see that students are able to focus more on the cerego and skim the areas of the books. This helps with how students take notes and we can ensure they are aware of what are the important items for them. I really like that the app can be installed on the phone. This allows users to truly integrate this into their lives. I do this by pulling out the app in line in the grocery store and working on some assignments or by working on my phone when I am in the restaurant waiting for my food.

  ### 18. You see something every day it becomes familiar, this is the whole concept behind Cerego.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geena A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

What I’ve found most helpful is that Cerego will make you work and learn, but then make you take a break, stop, and absorb what you’ve learned. The other part of Cerego I like best is almost every student I speak to loves the program and loves using Cerego so that’s a really really good

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Sometimes they take away too long to finish. I understand 2 to 3 days but not any longer.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

My recommendation would be just try it at least once and see what you think because it’s very different than anything else you’ve ever done when it comes to learning.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to read something and absorb it in a different way than just reading a book. It works those are the benefits I realize, and I’ve seen for myself and students.

  ### 19. Great application of distributed learning theory.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The distributed learning theory is finally put into practice. I like that the app encourages the students to engage in the material every day and that the quiz questions are adaptive and interactive.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

As an instructor, making many quiz questions on Cerego seems redundant in terms of time. All publishers already have a set of quiz questions for instructors to use. Why can't Cerego add another step to get authorization from the publishers? If there were a set of questions from the textbook publisher available on Cerego, I would have adopted Cerego.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

If you want to help students engage in the material several times a week, Cerego is the way to go.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to prevent students from cramming the night before the test. The benefit is the fact that Cerego is an app. Students are more likely to answer the questions as opposed to having to log into an LMS to take a quiz.

  ### 20. Effective teaching tool, and students love it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandi N. | Associate Professor of Health Promotion, Research, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Cerego is automated yet personalized for each student’s learning pace.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Many students want to only use the Cerego app. For these students, I wish they weren’t required to access Cerego through Canvas at all in order for their grades to populate.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cerego has helped solved the problem of lack of student engagement in out-of-class work. Students actually engage in the material in Cerego, because they can interact with it.

  ### 21. Revolutionary Study Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea S. | Adjunct Professor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

I like how the questions are posed in different ways as the review sessions go on. This prevents the learner from memorizing the position of the answer or being able to pick the right answer out of a set rather than actually knowing the answer.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

It's cost-prohibitive for a class that wants to use it as part of the learning rather than for a large chunk of the course.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

This is a fantastic learning tool to help your clients/students/employees internalize information in a gradual and pleasant manner.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps eliminate short-term learning or "studying for the test".

  ### 22. Saves class time spent learning vocabulary, improves retention, & allows us to talk more in Spanish!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

My students are reviewing consistently and getting the repetition they need to learn and expand their Spanish vocabulary.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Some changes to the platform from a teacher role were not straight forward. My IT director had to help figure our permissions so I could edit my sets.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Try it out first so you can better inform the way you plan to use it.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

"I studied Spanish for 4 years, but I don't remember any of it." This is the age-old problem of world language teaching: getting words into students' long-term memory. Thank you, Cerego, for improving students' retention.

  ### 23. It helps clarify which learning points are most valuable to remember. Overall a good experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Cerego is extremely easy to use. Especially if using a laptop or desktop

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

For enrolment purposes, a prospective student who is shown the platform and asked to complete the questions has to come back the next day to complete them. It burdens the admissions process

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Try it yourself and pilot it. Then ask yourself to recall the memories. Compare that to reading material and reciting it later on

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spaced repetition helps us in concert with suggesting fewer reading materials for learing. Students can rehearse the learn it and it cuts down on time

  ### 24. Cerego a Go Go

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cher H. | VP of Recruitment Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Ease of use once you find a pattern that works for you

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I wish there was a way to store / review the sections without them having to retest or get locked out.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The survey features are my favorite! After a training session we are able to see how they are thinking and if they interpreted the information properly.

  ### 25. Excellent Resource for in-person AND online instruction

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The algorithm is very robust and helpful to facilitate more durable learning.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

The UI is a little clunky and could use some updating.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

An excellent tool and easy to create content. Some UI needs refining, but overall the most effective tool I have used in my class instruction.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivering instruction to students both online and in person.

  ### 26. The best e-learning platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elias K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Content customisation and scientific method of reinforcing memory on concepts

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

None. I find the platform self sufficient

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

Cerego is the most efficient and effective e-learning platform I have so far encountered

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating long term memories on concepts that I need for our business

  ### 27. Great Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

It is a good product for students to learn material. I like the seamless integration. with canvas.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

I don't really use the teacher dashboard much and when I try it seems difficult to use.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My college students are learning material and remembering better.

  ### 28. Most unique features in an LMS. Completely focused on knowledge retention.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy S. | Technical Training Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

Focus on knowledge retention is amazing and the science behind what makes the information stick, not just teach you once, test you and check the box that you know it now. If you need to really know for sure that someone understands the content and will remember it, look no further as Cerego is THE BEST.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Only possible downside, if you can call it that, is that it is not ideal when you need to get a large amount of information across quickly. The automated content generation makes it easy to put in a lot of information but their focus is on retention, not quick learning and forget it.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating content is a snap with the learning algorithm they use to analyze the content and create quiz questions for you with automatic distractor answers that are fully customizable.

  ### 29. Cerego

**Reviewed by:** Brenda T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

The flash card aspect.I like how it helps with memory building .

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

The amount of concepts pushed into one assignment.

How to master the material and it certainly helps with memory building.

**Reviewed by:** STEEVE B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

The algorithym and the retention rate concept

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

None so far. I like all the features within Cerego

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

More user friendly features please

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The daily tracking of your progress rate

  ### 31. It needs a bit more re refinement particularly when it comes to integrating it with an LMS.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

AI in both generating the questions and how it handles learning and analytics.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Faculty do not have their own space on the platform. Integration from the LMS is not seamless assigning the instructor automatically to the course etc.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Longer retention for core course concepts.

  ### 32. Needs to fix bugs

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

push to review items was nice. But is not exactly adaptive learning

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

Falsely advertised as adaptive learning more like a personal learning platform

**Recommendations to others considering Cerego:**

n/a

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

biology

  ### 33. Good

To embrace it because it is a good tool for learning to all users enrolled.

**What problems is Cerego solving and how is that benefiting you?**

product knowledge issues and benefits are that the learners can now conversant with the products.

  ### 34. Easy to use.

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

I like that it easily makes questions for tests/quizzes.

Cerego is a product that helps enhance open educational resource
Courses.

  ### 35. Cutting edge personalized learning courseware

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis O. | Instructor , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Cerego?**

I piloted the Cerego courseware product for Introduction to Sociology, and I was impressed at the way this this educational company has taken open source content, research from cognitive science and educational psychology to present sociology in a new a fascinating way for each learner. I also like how interactive it is. I can use it on my phone, computer, anytime of day to learn sociology.

**What do you dislike about Cerego?**

While I like the courseware app, I just could not make it fit with my traditional pedagogy of lecture and reading. I can see how it would be useful in online classes.
