What do you like best about Caspio?

The no-code or low-code software is straightforward to learn and use. I had a basic database up and running in a matter of days. For more complex features, I have had great success in asking the Caspio help team for code, formulas, or other ideas, as well as finding plenty of instructional videos to help answer my questions.

Our Customer Success Manager is always available to assist with ideas, platform updates, and any other needs we may have over the years.

There are numerous database solutions available. In my opinion, what makes Caspio stand out is its availability. They are always there and happy to help with any issue. Their customer service is top-notch! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Caspio?

I hate to say that I dislike anything about Caspio. However, where there could be some improvement is in the knowledge base. The more advanced features can be challenging to understand. Some knowledge of coding may be required to utilize the software entirely. Caspio has an extensive library of help articles and videos, which have been particularly helpful.

If Caspio could add videos specific to Triggered actions and Tasks, it would be very appreciated. As a user becomes more advanced, these advanced topics become increasingly challenging to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Caspio?

Caspio is the ultimate application design platform for anyone who loves a true “sandbox” experience. It’s incredibly user-friendly and allows you to build basic databases, queries, and reports in minutes. But where Caspio really shines is in its flexibility: it’s not a linear program, so there are infinite ways to approach and solve a challenge. This freedom lets you tailor your builds exactly to your needs.

I’ve used Caspio daily for over 10 years and have yet to encounter a database problem I couldn’t solve with it. Sometimes the solution requires creative, out-of-the-box thinking, but that’s exactly what makes Caspio so powerful and keeps me loyal to the platform. Other database tools I've tried tend to feel rigid and overly guided, but Caspio gives me the control to always design a solution, whatever the problem may be. What do you dislike about Caspio?

Caspio offers two frameworks: the original Bridge framework and the newer Flex framework. Bridge is incredibly powerful and flexible, but its public-facing interface feels a bit dated and clunky. Over the years, I’ve built beautiful custom interfaces with Bridge, but it required significant effort and creativity to get there.

Flex, on the other hand, provides a modern, sleek, and intuitive interface that dramatically speeds up development. However, in its current state, Flex doesn’t yet match the depth and power of Bridge. Caspio is releasing frequent updates for Flex, and I’m already starting to migrate projects over because of how much faster it makes the build process. That said, integrating Bridge apps into Flex works fairly well, but the two interfaces don’t always align perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Caspio?

We chose Caspio after planning our forms in Excel, and transferring the structure over was relatively smooth—especially with the help of Caspio’s excellent technical support. The individual training sessions were incredibly helpful during the setup phase and made the learning curve more manageable, even for someone who hadn’t done any coding in a while.

Writing formulas and displaying information was fairly straightforward when working with simple variables. However, more complex formulas tended to throw errors more easily, which required trial and error or additional help to resolve.

Uploading spreadsheets from Excel into the platform was seamless. That said, updating or maintaining those sheets later on was a bit trickier and less intuitive.

One of the big wins for us was embedding our form directly on our website—it worked without any trouble. Our sales team uses this form daily, and it’s become an essential part of their workflow.

One highlight was successfully building a user interface for login and password access. Caspio provided the flexibility and tools we needed to make that work securely and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Caspio?

One major drawback has been the training resources. While the individual training sessions themselves are informative and helpful, I was disappointed that there’s no option to download the individual sessions for offline reference. Even more frustrating, the links to those sessions were removed after some time, making it difficult to revisit key content when I needed a refresher. What do you like best about Caspio?

We have purchased Caspio on behalf of two government clients, and we have a separate account for internal use. We use Caspio to manage complex workflows between case management agencies, providers, provider agencies, and state government agencies. We have been able to develop workflows that combine existing government data with information from respondents, with a fast start up, flexible implementation (easy to change or add to quickly), and with the new Flex platform, a visually pleasing layout without needing a separate website. Two critical factors for our selection of Caspio were (1) the ability to have HIPAA level security and (2) the fact that you do not pay by user. We are running applications with lots of different users interacting with the same data sources. In one case, the agency went with Caspio over Salesforce because it was prohibitively expensive to add many more outside users. In the other case, Caspio is replacing clunky Excels. We also use Caspio for surveys, document reviews, and performance reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Caspio?

Although by and large you don't need to know coding, there is a learning curve to understand how to implement it. The new Flex platform has a lot of advantages, but does not yet have all the features of the earlier Bridge platform. (We are implementing apps that use parts of both.) What do you like best about Caspio?

I was searching for a relational database platform that would be similar to the old Microsoft Access. When I found Caspio, I found that it is very easy to learn, is similar to Access in the functionality and is so easy to launch the apps. I love the ability to embed datapages in my website for easier access by my clients. I am very happy with this platform! When I have had issues figuring out how to use a feature, the customer support has been amazingly helpful. I currently serve 3 clients with this platform, and I hope to continue using it more.
