This self-service aspect was vital for our purposes at our program. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** During our usage, we found that CampMinder was not as "sleek" and intuitive as the new platform that we have used since then. That's not a ding against the platform – I think any service has its "quirks," but we found another platform that better addressed some of the unique features that we needed. **Recommendations to others considering Campminder:** CampMinder can be a great tool with a deep range of features to support your program. Don't hesitate to reach out to their Support Team to get help or learn about building new features. They are phenomenal at engaging your vision and finding a creative way to assist you along the way. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** CampMinder allowed us to offer a user-friendly, self-service platform for families that attend our summer program. This is important to help our office staff cut down on the busy work that comes with running a summer camp (and enabling us to focus on other important planning aspects). ### 3. It allows everything to be in one spot and not a lot of different software. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** CampMinder doesn't integrate well with other softwares so it can be difficult to get the best use out of the system. Several of their uses have better alternatives and it would be much better if they allowed integration. **Recommendations to others considering Campminder:** It's probably the best system out there for a camp to use but it could still improve. Call their customer service because they're usually very helpful **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Registering campers for camp and hiring staff members to work here. ### 4. Overall a great platform with built-in onloading and offloading for the season to go along with a decent amount of customizable options. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** Sometimes sluggish performance and random errors occur. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We recently solved an issue which reset several previous staff members to total years of 0. This issue would not let these users into a staff survey and we were unaware of the issue until a user informed us. The Customer Support Team quickly resolved the issue with the help of their Solutions Team. ### 5. I love the reporting functions. It takes some time to get used to using it but once you do, it is amazing how much information you can pull together in such a short amount of time. Mass email is a easy to use and incredibly helpful. Form uploads for both Staff and Campers are really easy. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** I do wish that the Financial system was a little better. I do think the majority of it is great. But cancelling campers out of sessions, and doing refunds can really mess with the records. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a great internet based system so that our Campers, Staff and Parents can all utilize it. Makes communication between our families leagues better. ### 6. This year will be the first year we are using CampMinder for Summer Camp. It is so helpful because you can do everything through this one software. (Forms for parents to be filled out, scheduling, POS, etc.) In the past, we have had to use MBO for enrollment & the POS, MailChimp for Email Blasts, WuFoo for Forms (then convert the information to a Shared Google Document) , and Sling for Staff Scheduling. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** Like any software, there are always little things that you wish were a little different or put together a little bit better. I have yet to encounter any of these on CampMinder but if I do, I feel their Customer Service is reliable enough to help me right away. **Recommendations to others considering Campminder:** Can do mostly everything in this one SoftWare for kid's camps & programs (scheduling, enrollment, parent forms, etc.) **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scheduling, Forms to be filled out by parents, enrollment for classes, and basically everything we need can be done all in this one Software! ### 8. It has helped us tremendously to not have to call customer support as often, though when we do call they are always above and beyond helpful. Don't be afraid to play around with the different features. There's a lot of great info even on the home page to help you keep track of birthdays, new enrollments, potential staff, and camper leads. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to track campers easily, including their family members, from the first time they register through possible camp staff - we can see how their experiences with us have grown ### 9. First, I love them as a business community-- they are full of caring, intelligent, and committed individuals who strive to put their customers first and put out the best product in the industry. Practically speaking, I love how I can customize their product to meet my camp's needs (we offer over 80 different camps). Their reporting is excellent; their "parent portal" CampInTouch is great, and their system is intuitive for the most part. I could go into many other areas, but those are the main ones. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** Their financial setup is lacking, but it is still the only software for camp management that actually enables us to have individual financial streams for each program. It's done by an extreme workaround (which is a ridiculously detailed, intricate configuration process on my end), but the fact that I'm able to do it at all makes them stand out from other competitors. that being said, I know that their main priority right now is the financials because their team is transparent and open with their customers and keep us abreast of the development side of things. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Management of camp from a to z. Side note: I took multiple screenshots logged into CampMinder and tried a ton of times to upload them, but your website keeps saying that there's an error uploading. ### 10. It makes it easier to explain steps in registration, where to find forms, etc. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** I dislike nothing about CampMinder. It is a great system. **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using CampMinder to generate instructor reports, so we do not have to pull reports for 40+ individual people weekly. Amazing customer service. **What do you dislike about Campminder?** Some things about CM are not intuitive -- for example figuring out how to create questions on a staff application, or how to use the scheduler feature. I wish there were more How-To videos on certain aspects, or if some things were significantly more streamlined (like how to make a staff application should be as easy as setting up a squarespace website.) **What problems is Campminder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our database is huge and so it is really amazing to have ALL our clients -- campers, staff, vendors, leads, parents, alumni, all in one place. ### 16. If you miss a field you have to go back and add and it can be a timely process.
