## About CallidusCloud Enablement
CallidusCloud Enablement provides a central repository for all sales and marketing collateral with analytics on usage to guide marketing investment and comprehensive search and classification to aid sales in finding the right asset. Deal rooms provide users a self-administered portal to share sales content with customers and gain insights into how that content is consumed. Playbooks provide prescriptive selling guides to sales representatives - what tools to use at what stage of the sales cycle.

  ### 1. Flexible and customize-able user interface for sales enablement

**What do you like best about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

I like that the tool allowed us to really set up our sales enablement portal the way we wanted and make it look on-brand.

**What do you dislike about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

Our license only allowed us to give access to a certain number of people and it was out-of-budget to provide access to others in sales and marketing that it would have benefited.

**Recommendations to others considering CallidusCloud Enablement:**

Have a strawman framework planned out of how you want to categorize your content so that it's quicker for the internal or external implementation team to help you build and organize the user interface.

**What problems is CallidusCloud Enablement solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one central sales enablement platform for which to maintain the latest versions of content for the sales team to use in their prospecting efforts.

  ### 2. Better than Salesforce CRM Content

**What do you like best about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

Fairly simple setup and good search.  Team was willing to quickly feed flaws or missing features back into the development pipeline and actually get them resolved.  

**What do you dislike about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

There are some basic design flaws such as the number of clicks it takes to download something. Users are constantly complaining that they can't just click on certain links that seem to be the way to get to the field and download, but instead have to do it from a menu icon (they always think they should just be able to click the filename or the preview icon and download)
The product was not entirely baked when we first started using it, but we were replacing Salesforce CRM content, which was so bad that anything was better.    
Controls on file sharing are sufficient, but could be more granular and then would be a lot more helpful.
Embedding it in SF for Mobile use didn't really work.
SSO with SF was not true SSO, but rather a pass-thru.  Ended up having to have the reps still know what their password was for this tool.


**What problems is CallidusCloud Enablement solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple different places for different rfp, marketing or brand enablement content needing to be distributed to sales.
Content was not easily searchable--now in one place for the most part.  The team managing this content is able to manage it without much technical skill, which was not the case in Salesforce.com.

  ### 3. Great customization to build a beautiful site, but support has dwindled

**What do you like best about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

CDW's Enablement deployment looks great and functions well; it even won a Sirius Decisions ROI Award in the first year after launch. With the help of our ad agency, we customized the portal to fit CDW's needs, while making it look like a top notch website. The search and navigation crushed our old platform and functions much better than our SharePoint deployment. There is still much that could be done to improve the functionality, but overall it is far ahead of our other tools. Also, our primary contacts for Delivery and Development were exceptional. 

**What do you dislike about CallidusCloud Enablement?**

Initially, CDW received phenomenal support and willingness to try evolutionary ideas, but that has fallen in years 3 & 4. It appears the honeymoon is over, as we are not getting the same-day response and our ideas are not making the development roadmap. Some of the roadmap is dictated by the overall Callidus direction, which appears to be more focused on their other products. 

**Recommendations to others considering CallidusCloud Enablement:**

The flexibility of this platform is phenomenal and you can customize it to be your own. I have heard the out-of-the-box product is great, if that is all you want. As stated earlier, the primary Delivery and Development contacts I worked with were great. The sales and accounting side of the house was a challenge to work with: invoices continually having errors and contract negotiations were painful as we flipped sales reps 7 times in 3 years. 

**What problems is CallidusCloud Enablement solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting our 3000 sellers to guided selling and CDW branded collateral was a long-standing challenge. The Enablement product provided a flexible platform that we could more easily govern and manage. It was a painful process to catalog our content, but we reduced it by 75% and consolidated four portals into one. Utilization continues to grow and our agency helps us evolve the pages to fit the ever-changing needs of the sales force.
