C++ builder is a quick platform. What I like best is that the debugging process is much faster than other coding languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that c++ cannot run certain types of loops. This causes the program to crash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-It has an easy to use interface.
-offers free version trial.
Has drag and drop features which makes it easy and faster while using and more friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far so good works nice and perfect nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) Excellent, comfortable GUI.
2) Easy, cross-platform debugging, which helps to save a lot of time in daily activities.
3) Integrated unit testing capabilities, which is very important for us because we use Test Driven Development.
4) Responsive UI development means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is possible to build unit tests for all code using included DUnit and DUnitX but I'd like there to be more platforms for unit testing especially Gtest. Also I'd like to have UI testing tools something Squish-like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can use cy c ++ knowing that it serves to develop applications and programs for windows, android, mac and ios can, is a fast development environment and has a large library of VLC.It provides some very good API hooks and routines that make the prototyping is fast and very functional. Very easy to try new looks and concepts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has several stability problems. Many times the engine must be restarted or even the same PC for this to be removed. The documentation is almost non-existent. If you already know the name of the precise routine, you can search for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integrated Inprise Corporation's VisiBroker 3.3 with event and naming servicesSupport for the latest ANSI/ISO C++ language specifications, including a host of compiler enhancements including Dynamic Compilation and Adaptive Compiler Technology (ACT), which radically speed compiler build processes; full ANSI/ISO template implementation; full ANSI/ISO STL (standard template library) support; and a high-performance 32-bit ANSI C++ native code compiler. EZ-COM, which simplifies C++ COM client development and One-Step ActiveX Control creation with new Data Binding support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Shorter and tighter development cycles. More complex n-tier and web-enabled designs. More and wider database and legacy system connectivity. Performance, performance, and run-time performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of useful tools in the Builder as opposed to other IDE's. It does get the job done quickly and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really, but there are better IDE's available in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
C++ Builder has the power of C++ and the it is easy to do the user interface for your applications. You can write one set of code that runs on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The help is just barely adequate. It could be easier to find the explanations for each function. More examples would also help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great for developing applications for all domains, has great platform and makes writing croos platform apps very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dont like the stability, has some issues. Had to restart at times after it crashed and had to fix the problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rapid development environment and great VCL library. It provides some very good API hooks and routines that make prototyping rapid and very functional. Very easy to test new looks and concepts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Moved up to Tokyo10.2.3 (I've been w/this platform since Borland TurboC) and the previous and new product is flaky. Help-Search does not function (Confirmed as a bug by TecSuport); the forced use of Explorer breaks IDE start-up functions (Confirmed as a problem & they can't find why by TecSupport). Documentation is close to non-existent. If you already know the precise routine name you can look it up. If I knew it already I probably would not need to find it! While it advertises support for Android & IOS it is very hard to find and may involve new purchases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VCL is way easier to use than MFC ever was and those components were reprogrammed to be useful for Android and iOS (and now Linux), so writing a cross platform app should be super easy, especially if you already know the C++ builder platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's had some stability issues. Before the 10.1 update, we had projects that would fail to link unless you restarted RAD Studio or your computer. One time I had closed Outlook and then my program started linking. They have since fixed that issue, but there are still some problems that require you to close your project and reopen it to fix it. Not a big deal when you realize what they are, but you can be left scratching your head if you are unaware of the problems and you might think it was your changes that caused the errors. I am super impressed and appreciative that I can use this one compiler with all platforms and that it is actually a consistent developer, and it's FAST!
I am in love with the multi-device designer, I only have to create the basic UI ONCE!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I still have issues using the Active X. It's super frustrating that Inprise doesn't seem to be able to level (RAD)out/keep up with newer Windows as fast as Microsoft can. It takes too much tweaking to work with C++ Building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GUI - It contains the Visual Component Library, which makes building user interfaces very simple. The drag and drop option allows programmers build nice, fast and easy.
C++ compiler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It only has versions for Windows and OS X. There is no version for Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
