Its strongest feature is undoubtedly the advanced search and organization system. With robust tagging, metadata support, and smart filters, finding assets takes only seconds—even in large, complex libraries. It cuts down significantly on time that would otherwise be wasted digging through disorganized folders.
Another standout is the clean, customizable interface. The branded portals look professional and are easy to navigate, which makes them a great fit for both internal teams and external partners who need quick, straightforward access to approved assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Getting everything organized—from metadata to user roles—takes some planning. Without clear governance from the start, the asset library can quickly become messy, and the initial onboarding process can feel slow and a bit cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find Brandfolder very intuitive and easy to organize, tag, and use. I like being able to share assets across the corporation with remote teams, in-house teams, and agencies. The categorization, tagging, and sharing make onboarding new agencies and employees simple, including assigning roles and permissions. It just works. It helps our team build and maintain an organized central hub that marketing, sales, operations, and others can use, and the time savings are huge. I also like the public-facing integration with our WordPress website, which lets clients access certain pieces of content. It fits seamlessly into most of our workflow. Moving from Google Drive and Dropbox helped us consolidate tools and workflows, improve organization, and streamline everything. Setup was very easy for the data that goes into it. I think the main issue is the user limits at the admin and power-user level. Maybe we need to pay more for additional registered users, but I feel like the subscription tiers could be reworked since we're paying for data, not users—though I may be naive about that. I like Brandfolder for the much better organization of our assets compared to storing them locally on computer folders. The easy ability to search and find assets is also a big plus for me. There's tons of metadata that makes searching easy, and it even scans text on assets I've uploaded, allowing me to search for keywords and bring up any assets that have that text in the image. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can sometimes be a little slow to load previews of assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like that it is easy to setup and easy to send out a link to external parties to get your brand assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't really found anything. Product is streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Brandfolder to be a huge timesaver, especially for locating appropriate images for web design and marketing initiatives. The image embedding feature is fantastic because it allows me to make changes to an image without having to reupload it to multiple sites. I love the extremely logical user interface and the organizational flexibility that lets us customize workflows to fit our needs. The brand portal is perfect for providing necessary assets to other departments. I appreciate how Brandfolder facilitated organizational adoption during our onboarding period. Their support team was also very helpful, meeting with us to help us get to the next level when we faced difficulties. Overall, I am highly satisfied with Brandfolder. The tagging and metadata structure is quite different from what we were used to; the nested folder style. So that was a big adjustment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Brandfolder to distribute branded templates to field teams and appreciate how it allows me to store reusable assets for non-creative team members. I like the level of control it gives me without requiring me to be hands-on all the time. Brandfolder lets me create user groups and assign distinct roles, allowing tight access control. The ability to use the same distribution platform and set usage dates for assets is a major plus. I rely heavily on the Print UI plugin in InDesign to easily create templates. The initial setup was fairly simple for an enterprise software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting functionality is limited. And, there are ways to use the platform for works in progress, but they're not very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s a good option for hosting resources outside of our website, so it doesn’t slow down the server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Super expensive compared to others we looked at. We also had basically zero customer service support for a year. Our sales team hated Brandfolder with a passion, they used it for 2 years. It took about eight months for me to get ahold of someone, and I often had to call sales just to get them to connect me with a customer service agent. Even then, they still wouldn’t respond to emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how Brandfolder makes it so easy to use, share externally, and organize thousands of digital assets. The product is head and shoulders better than what we used before. It's way easier to use, more powerful, and better supports the volume of content we have, offering better and more straightforward rights management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes search can be a bit picky, but I think that's mostly due to how some of our files are named. I think if it was more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
