## BigCommerce Reviews
  ### 1. A solid (if a little clunky) B2B Choice for smaller b2b organizations that require commerce

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas W. | Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce is a bit hit or miss. It's got some excellent features, but is still under-developed in many ways. Which makes it an excellent buy if you only need the good parts, and can deal with the underdeveloped parts.

Pro’s
BigCommerce (as the name implies) is all about commerce. With a huge part of their pitch about their reliability on big shopping days. We specifically approached BC from a B2B point of view with a LOT of weird pricing rules.

Major Pro #1: BC does a lot of funky pricing out of the box (enterprise). Prices to control who gets what bulk discounts with individual lists, pricing with % off, fixed $ off, and fixed $. Ability for additional options to have per item $ or % increases, or a fixed amount. Discounts based on Category, BOGO, etc, etc. All possible and easy to do in BC. Fist bump from me, which after evaluating 4+ eCommerce systems couldn’t handle most of that list for this price range. The one *sigh* is that pricing for specific customers is kinda of a work around (you have to use price lists with 1 customer or build a custom solution outside of BC), but still possible.

Major Pro #2: There is a built in integration with our ERP, Acumatica. This integration is solid and works with many, many aspects of the ERP. It’s relatively easy for an advanced business user (without knowledge of how to code) to setup and modify. With help from a dev, they could easily setup a vast majority of the system by themselves (as I did). However, fair warning that the more your ERP is customized, the less its going to work with this default connector.

Major Pro #3: One of the big pros with BC (which I almost forgot because it simply fades into the background as it should) is the SaaS nature and robust infrastructure they provide. A good chunk of their whole pitch is “we will not go down (esp. on these 5 major sales days (e.g. Black Friday)).” I say that “you almost forget it” because its one of those services you just don’t think about. You just expect a website to stay up, all the time, that’s what it should do. Until, of course, it doesn’t. And if you’re the one responsible for the site, the last thing you want is a call from the exec team asking why the site isn’t working at whatever un-Godly hour.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Con 1: It’s appears evident that BC is growing out of a more niche / homegrown system. Settings are mostly confined to one location (the settings area), but often must be located in strange out of the way locations. Examples:
•To create new field/property for customers, you don’t go to some property settings area. You instead go to the new customer and create a new question for the form??
•Daylight Savings Time is not a set-it-and-forget-it setting, but must be manually updated every time DST changes (like why?).
•If you upload an image to the page builder (and there is already a file with the same name) it simply gives you a generic error message. It doesn’t tell you there is a duplicate file name (and that is why your image isn’t uploading).
•Alternatively, if you upload an image to the category image tool that is over a certain size (about ~1mb), it will tell you it successfully uploaded, but the image will simply not appear in the list

Con 2: As someone who is used to WordPress, and its ability to customize almost anything and everything easily via the admin panel page builder, the lack of customization with BC feels like (and is) a downgrade. The page builder is basic with simple functionality. It’s okay if you just need to build a simple page but, most crucially, it does not have the ability to modify template pages (like all category pages). This is something that you can do easily with Divi in WordPress as an example. The default main menu customization (hint, there is basically none) is also a joke. I know there is a headless commerce option as well, we did not look into that seriously, but may work out given your circumstance.

Assuming you’re reasonably okay with code (basic stuff like HTML, CSS), a lot of changes are possible via directly editing the theme. However you are still writing code at that point.

This is where the BC apps and 3rd parties come to the rescue. Their are excellent options for adding back such functionality. There is an app for a Mega Menu, Advanced Product filter, Awesome Search which we use. Functionality that can turn your site from okay to great. Tools like BCTools.io are life savers when you’re staring down at 8 hours of manual changes vs. 1 upload sheet (shout out to Tory @ BCTools.io).

So definitely have a budget for apps. Depending on the size / complexity of your site, ball park between $50 min to $500.

  ### 2. Strong Headless Backend with Great Integrations - Frontend Setup Takes Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

We use BigCommerce in a headless configuration. It has a strong backend the pairs cleanly with Netlify hosted frontend. Abandoned cart recovery, discount engine, gift cards and great integrations.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Unfortunately BigCommerce lacks quite a few neccessary native integrations for us. The checkout customisation is more difficult and could mature quite a bit more. Most disappointing is the revenue-based plan thresholds which force plan upgrades based on trailing 12 month sales. More cost without using any extra features. The admin portal seems very dated and basic, I'd prefer to use the Shopify portal but it is what it is.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce has been working well for us overall. Headless architecture runs well performance-wise and is flexible with Gatsby. We faced issues product catalog complexity issues with our previous eCommerce platform. Now with unlimited products and seamingly unlimited variants per product (perhaps in the hundreds), we don't hit ceilings as our catalog evolves and expands.

  ### 3. Amazing UX and Performance—Built Our BigCommerce Site Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie D. | Project Manager and Team Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce makes it easy to build and edit our website. We started our project to build a new website for our company late last year and we went live within 3 months with a small team. The user experience is amazing, and the performance has been great so far, we haven't run into any issues.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

It's a bit of a learning curve, but you can say that for almost any software. Once we got the hang of it, it's very simple to use and navigate.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building us a site! Makes it very easy to build from scratch. We integrate with PXM and that makes it even easier to get assets into the website.

  ### 4. Clean UI, Reliable Performance, and Quick Support That Streamlines Processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Simple to use with a clean UI and the tools you need to grow your business. Performance and uptime have never been an issue, and on the rare occasion something does happen, support has always been quick and effective at getting it resolved. Integrating BigCommerce with our other platforms has been relatively painless, and it has streamlined a large portion of our processes.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Some of the out-of-the-box tools feel limited, which means I sometimes have to work outside the platform to get a task done or develop and integrate additional tools to make up for those gaps.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improvements and updates to tools and systems do happen but seem few and far between.

  ### 5. Robust E-commerce Platform with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhilasha .

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I appreciate how BigCommerce keeps our busy online store running smoothly with product listings, pricing rules and order processing all in one place. It turns what used to be daily firefighting into something predictable and manageable.I really like how stable it is under pressure, sales, product additions and pricing changes don't cause chaos and checkout remains reliable. That consistency is more important to us than having fancy features. The initial setup was easier than expected and once everything was validated, the platform settled into a stable rhythm. I’d recommend BigCommerce to teams serious about ecommerce and anticipating growth because it consistently removes daily stress and scales calmly.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Some areas still feel stuck in the past. Simple layout edits often turn into developer tasks and too many basic needs are pushed into paid apps. Managing performance for a large catalog also takes manual effort, which feels avoidable for a platform at this level.Performance depends a lot on manual tuning. We’ve had to optimize images, watch indexing and adjust caching ourselves to keep pages fast.I’d like BigCommerce to handle more of that automatically,so speed doesn’t rely on constant monitoring as products scale.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce keeps our busy online store manageable by integrating product listings, pricing rules and order processing. It reduces operational friction, aligns inventory with orders, ensures stable pricing updates and turns daily firefighting into predictable management.

  ### 6. Comprehensive E-commerce with Multilingual Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilie P. | Social Media Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I like BigCommerce because it's easy to use, which allows us to do a lot of things right within the webpage. We use it for both our English and French sites, and everything is in one place. It's convenient that we can manage products and communications between SAP, Google Drive, and more, all at once. The analytics feature is great, and once you learn how to use the web builder, it's quite effective.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I think the page builder and the options could be better. The web builder is okay, but it could be easier to use and more friendly. The initial setup felt lengthy, but it's more about taking the time to understand the software than an issue with BigCommerce itself.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BigCommerce to manage our English and French sites in one place, with easy integration across SAP and Google Drive, making everything manageable at once.

  ### 7. Effortless and User-Friendly Commerce Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan O. | Marketing Manager / AR , Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I really like how easy it is to add products right down the line with BigCommerce. Being able to add products so quickly is a plus as our prior platform was not so easy. I think in general it's a very easy-to-use platform that isn't overwhelming with features unless you want to dive deep. Its front end is very clean and simple to understand with capabilities to do much more! The initial setup was all pretty smooth, and it's just so easy to use that I'd rate it a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

We occasionally will see some glitches on our site where changes are not immediately visible (backed up in que) but, other than that things run well!

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce brings my products to life, displaying them to potential customers with ease and simplicity. Adding products is quick and the platform isn't overwhelming, making it very user-friendly.

  ### 8. Easy Website Building, but Integrations Lag Behind Shopify

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce makes it easy to build and maintain a website. Their templates and web design tools remove the need to have coding skills. Their pricing is also competitive in the market.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

It doesn't integrate as easily as Shopify with some tools making it impossible to implement some strategies. Customer support can be an issue if you have a team because to contact customer support they need to have the owners account pin.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to sell our products to consumers online without the help of a developer or web designer, although a web designer is often beneficial.

  ### 9. Straightforward for Basics, but Limited Features and Unresolved Support Issues

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad G. | E-Commerce Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Relatively straightforward platform that can meet some basic Ecommerce needs.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Lack of functionality, lack of reputable third party apps and plugins, a requirement for many theme customizations to meet business and marketing needs, lack of resolution when dealing with support.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to sell our products and courses through our domain, track customer order data, and manage our catalogue.

  ### 10. Effortless App Integration on an Intuitive Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil S. | Ecommerce Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

This platform is very user-friendly and offers access to thousands of apps that you can easily download and use.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

We find ourselves needing a BigCommerce developer more often than I think should be necessary. Some apps require custom integration, especially if your website has any custom development.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were searching for a new platform that would allow us to create a custom box builder. Although this typically requires web development, we managed to implement it without incurring unreasonable costs.

  ### 11. Faster and Flexible BM app than any other Business manager out there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dev S. | QA analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2024

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Bigcommerce has started a partner educational program which allows the users of the app to understand the flow of the BM which is a great thing to do. They also provide certificates for the course. You can implement Bigcommerce smoothly and replace the existing old BM. If site is having products and orders are being placed then this app is best for daily use. The Customer support is also good. They provide a solution instantly if you face any problem. The BM is easy to use on a daily basis. The Layout of the BM is easily understandable. If you are not IT professional then you can also use the BM easily.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

New issue that we faced in the project that when we integrated the third-party app "PIMBERLY - which is a product information management tool", there were some restrictions that caused an issue with updating the metafields of the products of the site This is why we needed to update the code and add a new metafield to get our work done.

If you find any issue with their BM, then they will release the required changes once in six months with all other changes. which is quite annoying.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Minimalist and Easy to understand UI - Helps in knowledge transfer in less time from one to another member of the team. which is a bit frustrating in SFCC where the whole time is given to explain the BM.
2. Fast BM - Helps in the changes made in less time. Changes Due to smooth functionality changes done in BM reflect fast on the storefront.
3. Marketplace - Easy to integrate third parties that are in collab with big commerce. Reducing time in the integration process.

  ### 12. Robust Native Features Without the Bloat

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nabeel A. | Marketing Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The robust native features thats not heavily bloated with apps as other platforms

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

The complexed interface. Sometimes it requires a steeper learning curve and not really beginner friendly

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my business by being a simplified multi channel for managing everything in one platform

  ### 13. Solid Foundation, But Improvements Needed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The best part about using BigCommerce has been their support team. They’ve consistently gone above and beyond, always quick to respond and incredibly helpful when it comes to navigating the platform. Whether it’s resolving technical issues or guiding me through features, their support has made the entire experience so much smoother. Honestly, it’s been the biggest upside of choosing BigCommerce.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

One of the main downsides of BigCommerce is the limited customization options. To make meaningful changes, it often feels like you need a developer’s help, which can be frustrating if you’re looking for flexibility. On top of that, many of the available apps aren’t very integration-friendly, making it harder to streamline everything into one smooth workflow.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce has been a huge asset for our business when it comes to analyzing data and retrieving insights in real time. Having quick access to these insights has been extremely valuable in making informed decisions and driving our growth.

  ### 14. Easy Product Setup and Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

It’s easy to set up new products and edit existing products.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

It’s missing a drag-and-drop editor, which makes it difficult to customize—especially for people who aren’t developers.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is an e-commerce shopping site that works reliably and never fails.

  ### 15. Effortless Store Setup with Powerful Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NIKHIL A. | Digital Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I like how BigCommerce makes setting up and managing an online store simple, fast, and flexible. It gives you powerful built-in features, smooth integrations, and solid performance without needing heavy tech skills.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I dislike that BigCommerce can feel limiting with its design customization and that some advanced features require extra apps or higher-tier plans, which can make it more expensive as you scale.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce simplifies managing products, payments, and shipping in one place. It reduces tech headaches, speeds up store setup, and helps me scale without relying on developers, which saves time and boosts overall efficiency.

  ### 16. Best Ecommerce Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sri C. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Easy to use, import and export product data into the backend. You can track the order status, send invoice via email. There is no need to have several plugins or tools to do everything. Inbuild store also provides marketing applications to send promotional emails. No clunky feeling, clean dashboard, showing sales revenue, set up custom functions for the products as well.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Nothing as of now. The New version updates may be sometimes time consuming.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Biocommerce for one of our E-commerce platform, and we have also signed up as a Big commerce partner to recommend the product some of our customers and clients. Its great to keep our product stock levels, track the order and complete the order request placed by customers.

  ### 17. Reliable, Smooth and Easy to integrate - Business Manager App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devkumar S. | Quality Control Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The app was easy to integrate and replace the existing BM. The UI of the app is user friendly. The BM is used daily for orders, updation of product details. It has an extra feature of App Marketplace in which we can easily integrate third party services through bigcommerce. It offers a lot of customisation options. Either we can use the storefront of bigcommerce or we can easily integrate other storefront too as we used in our project. Customer Support is very good solves all the issue raised related to app. Like we were facing issues related to checkout that if the user comes from checkout to storefront the user is logged out on the storefront as we are using storefront of next.js/vercel . Customer support helped us a lot in resolving this issue.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

1. Any issue raised related to app is released after a long time.
2. Products - UI lacks/Hangs when any product is opened.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-It is better than SFCC. More efficient, More fast.
-Checkout offers more security as payment processor's like Adyen/Paypal/Apple Pay/Klarna are securely integrated.

  ### 18. BigCommerce Product Review (2025)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Paid Search Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I like the Built-in Features: BigCommerce has more native features than most competitors, reducing reliance on third-party apps. Out-of-the-box capabilities like faceted search, multi-currency support, real-time shipping quotes, and abandoned cart saver are huge wins.

API Flexibility is Great: With an open API structure and headless commerce capabilities, developers can build truly custom solutions while marketers still enjoy an intuitive backend.

Great Multi-Channel Selling: Native integrations with Amazon, eBay, Facebook, TikTok, and Google Shopping make omnichannel selling seamless.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

While the Stencil theme framework is solid, drag-and-drop design capabilities aren’t as intuitive as Shopify’s or Wix’s. Beginners might feel a steeper learning curve.

The App Ecosystem, Is growing fast, but still slightly behind Shopify in terms of third-party app variety.

While competitive at the entry level, BigCommerce automatically upgrades you to higher tiers based on your revenue, which can catch some users off guard.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Problem I have is Managing sales across your website, Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, and social media often requires multiple tools and integrations.
The Benefits of BigCommerce is that it offers native multi-channel integrations, allowing you to manage listings, inventory, and orders from a single dashboard—saving time and reducing errors.

  ### 19. Easy Search and Editable Storefront, but Copying Across Stores Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

easy search functionality, easy editable fields on store front. Fairly good integration to our dispatch system.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Duplicating work across our sites, wish we could copy and paste to other stores.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

solves the problem of having a front end store that is user friendly. Easy to edit customer orders and making changes are quick and easy!

  ### 20. Easy Website Setup with Tons of Integrations, But Price Could Be Lower

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom L. | Business Owner/Self Employed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The amount of apps there is to intergrate to, and the website configuration is easy to a handle off

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Nothing really. Its actually a pretty good site to create a website.. If anything id say the price could be a little lower, being Australia i thought that it would hav to be the [toce and but even that reasonable lol

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

unsure

  ### 21. Robust and Modern e-Commerce Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niko K. | Marketing and Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce continues to evolve and improve. We haven't had any significant issues; some small incidents have occurred, but the website and checkout were not affected.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

The biggest challenge we’ve faced is maintaining customizations when updating themes, specifically the home page. It would be great if there were more product collections available such as customer browsing history, related to your search, etc. If BigCommerce offered tools to manage theme file updates, allowing changes to be merged or “version-controlled”, we could upgrade our site design without manual rework or risk of losing important modifications.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When previously using Magento, it was very time consuming to regularly apply and stay up-to-date with security patches and platform updates. BigCommerce hosts and updates the core website files so that is one less thing that we have to worry about. The eCommerce features satisfy our needs as a retailer.

  ### 22. Extremely Easy to Use with Lots of Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca K. | Customer Service Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Big Commerce's user interface was, BY FAR, the easiest that I've used. It integrated easily with our ERP system and makes returns a breeze. It's secure and weeds out fraudulent orders exceptionally well. Because of it's integration with Zonos, we are able to ship around the world easily and accurately. Their customer service is exemplary as well. I never have to wait for someone to help and they always resolve the issue quickly and completely.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I haven't found a downside or "con" about Big Commerce yet!

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved all of our issues with shipping outside of the USA. We can show ship around the world accurately and efficiently and have been able to build a good customer base outside the US.

  ### 23. Better Ecommerce platform with inbuild integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sri C. | Supply Chain Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

its works well with Built in SEO, multi channel selling, customizing domains and adding other marketing application to promote my products. Its like an all in one built inn platform.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Nothing much but version upgrades are sometimes tedious and also creating custom functions is not beginner friendly may be using AI to create a Workflow would be very helpful,

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves using multiple tools, and built in SEO, Order management and fulfilment and sending Invoice via email also use other applications to promote products. I don't have to rely on so many subscriptions and integrate so many plugins or tools.

  ### 24. Great Ecommerce Platform for B2B Companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah G. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The support from BigCommerce has been great along with the features that get rolled out in the B2B space. We spent an extensive time choosing the right platform and we made the best decision going with BigCommerce.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I dislike the page builder if you are using the out of the box front-end. If you go headless there is a lot more flexibility but more difficult to maintain. I believe they are solving this issue with catalyst and makeshift.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce allows us to serve our B2B customers with a D2C experience. We also are able to create a lot of custom price lists which is a crucial feature for our business.

Decent live chat support. Easier to use compared to Woocommerce or Magento.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Shopify is a better option for 99% of ecommerce clients.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ecommerce platform. Listing products and generating sales.

  ### 26. Good, Responsive Company with Nice B2B Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | VP of Commercial, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Super user friendly with intutive interface that doesn't require coding. Customer Support is solid and timely. Uptime is consistent and above standard. They bought bundel B2B which really upgraded their B2B functionality.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Still very much a B2C platform. Upgrades on integrating B2B will be key to their growth in that space.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use is the primary reason why we use this platform. Zero IT involvement is a very convenient way to go to market. Faster and cheaper is the way to go.

  ### 27. Flexible, Highly Customisable, and Easy to Integrate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony B. | Senior Systems Engineer, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

It’s flexible, highly customisable, and can be integrated very easily.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Creating custom themes can be difficult, and the B2B side still needs some work.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is our commerce platform

  ### 28. Big Commerce - great platform even for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louise M. | Online administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Great technical assistance , we recently had a card attacking incident and we were given some good advice

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

If there was an option to block a specific users email from attempting abandoned orders when checking if credit cards work , this would be great as an extra fraud protection

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great that we can add different price levels, we could not do this with a previous platform we considered without using a plug-in.
As the online help is so amazin, even our junior staff can use it without any coding / technical experience.

  ### 29. Perfect Open Source Solution for Simple Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar C. | Head Of Ecommerce, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I like it because it's open source and a good choice for starting something small that doesn't require too much configuration.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

You need to rely on a developer full time.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not currently using it; I only tested it. However, if this were my preferred platform, the main issue I would be addressing is setting up a basic store and launching a business.

  ### 30. One of the easiest deployments of any platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian T. | VP, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I love how much is out-of-box with regard to curated services. While competitors offer large ecosystems of apps, we find that more time is spent regretting our apps whereas BigCommerce is very buttoned up. Less to worry about. The custom service is incredible.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Although the apps are great, there are fewer, so we need to either turn to third parties or custom build our own. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but I'm sure this will grow in time.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidating the day-to-day tools that most ecom merchants want to run in-house. This alleviates the cost burden on them while letting us focus more on ROI driven efforts.

  ### 31. Effortless to Use with Outstanding Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe S. | Digital Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce is very easy to use and customer service is fast

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Product description editing is a bit tricking and could be improved. You have to get the spacing just right for it to look good.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves our need for a ecommerce platform. It automates emails like abandoned cart emails.

  ### 32. Exceptionally User-Friendly and Accessible for All Skill Levels

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah R. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The user-friendly nature is my favorite thing! I don't need a great level of experience to work in it.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Some of the random errors we encounter are frustrating. Have not gotten much solutions from support even though they are very prompt.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us sell direct to our customers.

  ### 33. Effortless and Fast Platform Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I find the platform is easy to use and quick.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Hard limits on variant quantity and hurt some business models.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Big commerce allows us to easily offer our products to customers online. We have a large catalog of products that are on the platform.

  ### 34. Accounting Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynn L. | accounting specialist, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Ease of customers placing orders online. We are integrated with Avalara AvaTax for simplified sales tax calculations.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

There is a learning curve to getting everything set up, but it is user-friendly so if you have decent computer skills, it is not too difficult to figure out.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing online customers to our store front. We can run special promotions or offer coupon codes. It also lets us know if there are abandoned carts.

  ### 35. Easy to setup and configure at your own

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mansoor K. | Business Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The UI is super friendly and intuitive to configure and the support of Bigcommerce is good as well

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Few very basic features like price list are not available and it need to upgrade to higher subscription plan to get the feature

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I take the requirements for my clients who cant setup their stores and since the BigCommerce platform is relatively simple, I do most of the configuration saving on resources.

  ### 36. So far BC has been very easy and intuitive to learn and use.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Easy integrations to other apps, the intuitive nature, flexibility and customization from our previous site. It allowed us to continue to meet our customer needs while also upgrading the experience for new customers. Our account rep Rachelle is very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

There are lots of upgrades that still need to happen and assistance with integrating apps suggested. Until now the theme abilities were immature..

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Partnerships with other platforms to assist with theme pages. We are looking into more options for consent pages, as we have an older audience who doesn't under stand the accept all. By ignoring it, they become untrackable and we have lost ground in GA4. Feedonomics will be a game changer for us and we are looking forward to using it.

  ### 37. Great for Ecomm, But Customization Was Challenging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clari L. | marketing director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

We used this platform for years for our ecomm site and it was great!

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Very limited customization at the time, coding unique features was very difficult.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform enables us to showcase our products directly to our customers and gives them the opportunity to shop with ease.

  ### 38. BigCommerce Website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tina F. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2024

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

BigCommerce is a great way to easily build your online store. It has a user-friendly backend. And lots of built-in functionality, theme options to customize the website design and features.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

The BC basic package can be limited. Add-ons are needed in order to get extra features and functionality.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

E-commerce sales

  ### 39. An Alternative to shopify for medium to large businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

It's user friendly UI and very intuitive. Customers really like it.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

We've managed to get the most out of BigCommerce the last few years with no current bottlenecks.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving customers being able to generate their own quotes. Our sales team is so busy and customers are constantly asking for quotes. This will take a lot off the sales team and allow them to process more POs. Also will be easier for the customer rather than communicate to people to change the quote up for them

  ### 40. Easy to manage shopping cart - but poor static page management.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug W. | Webmaster, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

No need for many third-party apps—BigCommerce includes tools like product reviews, coupons, multi-currency, and SEO-friendly URLs right out of the box.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Unexpected cost increases can hit growing businesses hard.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I maintain a customers BigCommerce site who moved from another platform. Customer prefers ease of setup.

  ### 41. Exceptional Service to Wreaths Across America

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Our quarterly meetings with Rachelle and team are very informative. She is always on top of our needs and her response and dedication to our needs is top notch.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I manage our customer operations team and do not get to work inside Big Commerce from an IT standpoint. I really do not have anything to respond with. I do know recently our coupon codes have been an issue.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the manager of the Customer Operations Team during our "season", Big Commerce provides easy review of orders for the team. We operate with two systems in house and BC provides the ease of use.

  ### 42. Great online selling platform with a few shortcomings

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The simplicity and ease of use make Big Commerce the best in my opinion.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

There is no way to optimize shipping for orders without a $200 per month add on app. The lack of this turns customers away due to shipping being crazy expensive when there are multiple items to an order. This feature is included with Shopify.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily list new items and place them on my website, Ebay, Amazon and Facebook Marketplace.

  ### 43. BigCommerce Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanka J. | Application Support Lead @ Eli-Lily, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

1) I like the most that the platform has no-code or low code functionality.
2) The platform does integrate with every system and various build in API for various scenario's covering B2B and B2C market.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

I dislike that if they are making any beta changes, please provide documents earlier and may be a demo to be ready for the implemntations.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce is solving the challenge of creating scalable, customizable, and integration-friendly eCommerce platforms—especially for businesses with complex product catalogs, B2B/B2C needs, and multichannel selling requirements.

  ### 44. My take on the Global Sensation Big Commerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Durga Akhila C. | vice president, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Big Commerce has helped many businesses by being scalable enough to small businesses as well as big ones. The customization based on business problems is the coolest feature i have ever seen in a commerce platform ever before. The multi language facility has helped a lot businesses globally increasing their reach. The usage is also easy to adapt and not very difficult.the implementation happens to be the fastest thing associated with the platform. They provide a amazing customer support and thats is the most accesible feature making their platform a global leader. Most of the users come back to the product increasing its frequency of use .Its can be easily integrated with any kind of platforms required.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

There is pretty much nothing to dislike about such a good platform as it provides all thenecessary and out of box features .

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been researching a lot of products for my blog and one day i came across this product and just instantly gave it a try for my business. It is helping me streamline my e-commerce operations by providing a platform that simplifies store setup, management, and omnichannel selling. With built-in integrations for payment gateways, marketplaces, and CRM tools like Salesforce, I can efficiently manage my business without heavy development costs. The ability to scale effortlessly, automate processes, and manage multiple sales channels from one platform allows me to focus on growth rather than technical complexities, ultimately improving efficiency, revenue, and customer experience.

  ### 45. Simple solution.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon W. | Voice Over Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2023

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

New upgrades made all the features more user friendly. I use this software daily and love it!

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Maybe make it a little more streamlined for those who are new to using this kind of software.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything I. One place streamlines my activity across the web and lets me have one dashboard to connect all the intricacies involved in setting up an e-commerce shop.

  ### 46. I've worked with companies that have used BigCommerce, but more who have used with Shopify.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

I began my career working at a company who used BigCommerce and because the design was already in place, I found doing easy things like switching web banners and updating product photos and descriptions to be quite easy.

While I have not used BigCommerce's customer service myself, I have heard from other designers that they are much better than Shopify, which unless you are a top tier account, can be a bit frustrating to talk to someone.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Having re-designed websites on both BigCommerce and Shopify, I found BigCommerce to be a bit less intuitive. As a graphic designer, I do not know much HTML/CSS so I rely heavily on using a template as a framework and doing light tweaks from there. It felt much more intuitive to use Shopify's overall interface and I preferred it over BigCommerce as someone who is more visual and not technical.

The templates Shopify offers also felt like they much more aligned with what I needed and what my company wanted.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are a tool to sell product online to the company I work for's customer base.

  ### 47. Works well. Had its ups and downs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dee L. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

The price kept increasing without adding any features that we were interested in using.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

We ended up switching to Shopify. It has many functions built in, plus apps that's I can install for added functionality without requiring a developer. Very happy that we switched.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ecommerce for our customers

  ### 48. Great Ecommerce Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben C. | Ecommerce Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Ease of use, ever expanding app marketplace. If there's something you want to do that Bigcommerce doesn't do out of the box, there is probably an app that does it. Customer support is absolutely top notch. Always friendly and very knowledgeable. Implementation was handled by our developer but it has been a breese to use ever since.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Not as customizable as we'd like on certain features. It's good that you can get an app to do what you want, but then you have to pay for that app to do what should be done natively. Also the gift card system leaves a lot to be desired.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bigcommerce allows us to provide a straightforward shopping solution to our customers. The ease of use on the customer side has resulted in more repeat customers.

  ### 49. A Complete E-commerce Solution for Growing Businesses

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

No issues thus far at all. A very responsive local team in case of any issues.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Big Commerce is our soruce of truth and the platform has been perfect for a low margin - high volume business like ours. Cost aside, we run our business on a split system with Big Commerce and an ERP platform. Big Commerce has proven tpo be easier to use for the team.

  ### 50. Good start, but has growing competition which limits features and freedom

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan M. | Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2025

**What do you like best about BigCommerce?**

Integrates well with 3rd parties such as Google Analytics and various Microsoft extensions. Easy and effective statistics generation. The platform is easy to use and list/buy products.

**What do you dislike about BigCommerce?**

Doesnt have as much control over pricing.

Difficulties logging in with duo-authentication / difficult process for changing password after forgetting it. Customer support lacking.

**What problems is BigCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BigCommerce is helping us reach out to a greater amount of customers that don't necessarily overlap with other commercial sa-as companies such as Shopify or Woocommerce. It helps us gain exposure across the market.
