Easy to set up and list products for ecommerce retail. Doesn't require any technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you have physical locations, please read this so you do not end up in the same situation as ours. You absolutely should NOT integrate BigCommerce with a POS. Why? Because BC will consider all your B&M sales as ecommerce sales and you will get hit with an absolutely insane monthly/annual subscription fee. They refuse to distinguish between ecomm sales and B&M sales. This will make it virtually impossible to keep track of inventory between the store(s) and your ecommerce platform, which makes it useless for any ecomm+B&M retailer.
If B&M makes up any significant percentage of your revenue, look elsewhere for your ecomm platform. They claim they don't take a percentage of your sales, but their pricing structure is tiered based on sales volume, so it's just an end run around percentage-based sales.
Also, there are a limited number of plugins so you are unable to easily customize with advanced features. Want advanced shipping options? Well, either pay for a very expensive plugin, or you're out of luck.
You're stuck with whatever BigCommerce decides to develop, especially on the back end. Limited storefront design options available and product variation listings are pretty severely limited as to what you can do. This is all done on purpose to make it easy for non-technical people to use their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
