Big Switch offers all of the latest networking capabilities (automation, api, vpc/tenant) yet just works as expected, which is becoming an increasingly rare attribute in the fast-changing Infrastructure world.
What do you dislike?
There is not much of a community around Big Switch quite yet for sharing ideas. I am sure this will come as the product/company mature and acquire a larger customer base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Big Cloud Fabric is a solid product that just works. If it meets your requirements, definitely don't be afraid to step into the white box/SDN world. It has been a very pleasant experience so far and sets you up to pivot in many directions as the trends quickly change.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I believe our Big Cloud Fabric has positioned us to easily integrate the network with any current or future compute/storage trend. Big Switch has also proven an ability to pivot quickly to address the constantly changing automation world.
