This choice was driven by the need for a comprehensive and reliable networking solution that could cater to our diverse requirements, ranging from traditional wired connections to the increasing demand for wireless connectivity. Extreme Networking offers a wide range of networking products and solutions, and their ability to provide both wired and wireless infrastructure was a major factor in our decision-making process. We have a variety of devices and endpoints within our organization, including desktop computers, servers, laptops, mobile devices, and IoT devices. By adopting Extreme Networking, we were able to establish a cohesive network environment that seamlessly integrates wired Ethernet connections and wireless access points. ### 3. Ease in managing configuration part with the configuration commands. For ensuring the quality and user demands, price may high. High end switch(core-switch) are less in count. Most of the X-400 series switches are 10G supported. **Recommendations to others considering Extreme Networks:** I recommend the following switches for better performance, network security and easy management. Summit X-460-G2 X450a-48t X670G2-48x-4q (Stack) X460G2-24t-10G4 X430-24t X450a-48t **What problems is Extreme Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Outages monitoring and resolving are the major part involved in Extreme switch. Nms of extreme networks is an all encompassing solution with compatibility with other companies' solutions. Solution designing is also very easy in extreme networks. I am a certified design expert. Earning this certificate was very easy as the solution sizing and network designing is very easy with the tools available on the partner portal. **What do you dislike about Extreme Networks?** A bit expensive than other competing solutions. Other than that extreme networks has no problems whatsoever. The hardware is user friendly, the GUI of the switches is easy to use and understand. The initial setup is also very convenient. I have come across stack switches which are easy to setup. In the scenario one can manage all the switches in stack with one interface thus avoiding the overhead of logging into individual switch each time. I would recommend extreme networks to the viewers of this post. **What do you dislike about Extreme Networks?** Luckily, i have not come across any such situation where i disliked the product. Probably faced a bit of overhead during installation or support but that is not related to the performance of the product of the company. This will allow you to manage all switches in the stack from a single login rather than logging into each switch. I believe they have some licensing and is a bit expensive for small companies. **Recommendations to others considering Extreme Networks:** When implementing this product be warned you need to know great amount of networking when implementing stacking cables and doing VLANs and QoS. Aside form that PoE is auto negotiating so if your not using advanced features works great out of the box. **What problems is Extreme Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** This gives us a managed switch network that we can create and manage VLANs on our network. The stacking cable allows us easy management and high speed switch to switch traffic transfers. ### 27. Where according to its version we can implement in addition to L2 services, also L3 services. O using as a switch in L2, we can implement several protocols, like OSPF, BGP, ISI among others. **What do you dislike about Extreme Networks?** In its use implementing EAPS with sharing of links, it has a certain instability, not advising the use of the common-link. **Recommendations to others considering Extreme Networks:** Great switch that allows us to use different forms of use in our backbone, thus advising other users to use them. **What problems is Extreme Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great switch with several models and according to a brief planning, will meet all the requested demand.
