But yes, using H3C device for first time is bit difficult, but when you worked in HP devices it would be easy **What problems is H3C solving and how is that benefiting you?** I solved a utilized security option provided by H3C. It provides a IP and MAC based login to devices, Also GUI access to the device ### 2. Really good cli which allows network admins to configure variety of routing and switching protocols **What do you dislike about H3C?** Gui can definitely improve but I didn't use it much as it has a really good CLI interface. The H3C s5800 switch that we used as core switch had some reliability issues which needed a periodic hard reboot, but we never had issues with the access layer switches. Response from H3C support could definitely improve **Recommendations to others considering H3C:** If you're looking for alternative switching solutions with reasonable pricing with good support then H3C would be a good option. CLI is really good too and easy to use if you're familiar with Cisco commands. **What problems is H3C solving and how is that benefiting you?** Good pricing Good alternative solutions for access layer switches Support various routing and switching protocols to meet the requirements ### 3. I see every vendor uses same commands but H3C is very different and friendly. I worked for different routers and firewalls. And my experience has been very good. **What do you dislike about H3C?** Nothing really. There has been cases of bugs where support takes little longer to provide the patch **What problems is H3C solving and how is that benefiting you?** I deal with with router, switches and firewalls... there has been all sort of stuff. Stp loops. Routing issue. But all comes to the knowledge of a particular person at the end ### 4. The output of the commands is with much greater details compared to other vendors, e.g. Cisco. Especially for sensor stats. **What do you dislike about H3C?** There are some hidden modes and hidden command consoles which if you ain't aware of, you'll have a tough time. At the time when the company was still owned by HP. A big part of the documentation was in Chinese. Some of the nitty-gritty commands were hard to find without an extensive Google search. **What problems is H3C solving and how is that benefiting you?** In general, very lightweight and much more efficient compared to other vendors. ### 5.
