We've been using Megaport now for over 10 years and have never had an outage. **What do you dislike about Megaport?** Most of the data centers we wok in already have a Megaport connection in the co-location. Which makes it very simple to connect to. Only in a few instances have we run into a co-location that didn't already have a Megaport presence and therefore we would have to rely on a telecom provider to be the last-mile to get us connect to the closest Megaport co-location. **What problems is Megaport solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its our go-to for all of our major Cloud connections as well as some of our private connections between our data centers where we have a Megaport connection on both sides. ### 2. The account team meets with me regularly for ongoing guidance, a dedicated architect helps align decisions with our business strategy, and their developers have been collaborative in enabling new features on the Terraform provider when needed. **What do you dislike about Megaport?** One ongoing challenge is that the staging portal doesn't always reflect the same configurable services as production — for example, red/blue diversity services may be limited to a single diversity option at a given location. Since Terraform code is developed and tested in lower-tier environments like staging, the inability to fully validate configurations before a production rollout is a meaningful gap in the deployment workflow. **What problems is Megaport solving and how is that benefiting you?** Megaport is solving our connectivity needs as our environment expands in ways that wouldn't have been anticipated five years ago. The dual option of handling things independently through the portal or engaging in direct interaction with their team strikes a perfect balance, allowing us the best of both worlds. **What do you dislike about Megaport?** I wish that Megaport just had more capacity. Specifically, at the site we're using, 100 gig ports were not available. Although we're not using that much bandwidth currently, having the option to upgrade would be preferable. Being in a small data center with a limited market makes it harder for Megaport to justify adding this capacity. That's very handy because configuring such connections is not something you do very often. 2. Very robust product. If implemented in redundant manner according to best practices and recommendations, it provides outstanding service. Whether building or planning global networks, the product makes it very easy to evaluate cost, latency, scope, etc., on a per-location basis. When we deployed our infrastructure, it was very quick, and integrating it into our platform was ridiculously easy. One feature that has been a blessing even on the self-managed cloud routers is route filtering (you can filter by peer as well). I think they just introduced packet filtering, too. You can check the route and BGP tables to make sure any work you've done is doing what you expected. The logs are easy to read, and there is graphical information on traffic, too. In terms of responses, when we've had the odd outage, they're quick to get back to you on their portal. We have used Megaport for over 5 years, and I can safely say we're happy and look forward to continuing that relationship. **What do you dislike about Megaport?** Its not a dislike, but more a feature i'd like in future.
