From the minute you sign up, everything is well organized and has started with sane defaults. You can tell Better Uptime has paid attention to the little details along with the bigger picture. The sane defaults, along with a well-organized dashboard, allow you to be up and running in no time and at the same time know you'll be alerted when things go wrong. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** There's not much to dislike about Better Uptime, but if I had to pick the feature that could use the most work, it would be the status pages. The pages are configurable to show response times but come with a downside. If you enable response times, then the page becomes very busy and much harder to read at a glance. In a matter of seconds, you have set it up and verified. You can create public status pages with custom CNAME and real-time monitoring. It's a great added value to your work as a developer and always appreciated by the clients. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** The only thing I don't like is the fact that I'm forced to create a status page and ask the client to subscribe to the status page to send them notifications about uptime issues. It would be easier to add the email I want to notify directly in the monitor setup, but you can do this only with team members, and I don't want to be forced to add clients as team members. I also would like to see the domain renewal date and SSL certificate expiration date. The price-performance ratio is extremely good and I would say that Better Uptime is also suitable for non-technical users, as it is very easy to use. The dashboard is clear and yet offers a lot of settings. Setting up a new monitor is very easy and can be customized for each website to be monitored. I hope for many more years of using Better Uptime. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** I would like to see Better Uptime, or at least the Status Pages, available in other languages. Unfortunately, everything is currently only in English. In the backend okay, but for international customers a translated status page would also be very desirable. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** I monitor all my clients' websites so that I am informed if they are ever unavailable. It is very unpleasant when the customer before you notices that something is not working. And this is where Better Uptime really works reliably. In case of outages, I'm immediately informed by email as well as by push notification on my smartphone to have a look at what's going wrong. At the same time, Better Uptime also provides some info on what exactly is going wrong, so that troubleshooting is more targeted. ### 4. I love it. Now that I'm using the product for multiple sites, the emails come through straight away, much faster than Uptime Robot which I had been using in the past. Seriously this completely meets my needs and works exactly as expected. Oh, I disliked how the first few uptime emails came through to my 'Promotions tab' in Gmail (workspace). All in all, one of the better solutions I have used. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** It is not that easy to figure out where to setup your own personal notification preferences (I prefer SMS instead of getting a call), Their automated Phone call is also flagged as spam on my Samsung phone (unfortunate, but not their fault.) **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our web app went down due to a node process crashing, and EC2 autoscaling did not pick it up correctly, so as a layer of security, we added BetterUptime to notify us if it goes down for any reason. Before moving on to Better Uptime, I tried some services (AdminLabs, Status Page...). I used AdminLabs for several years, but I had to leave them because their probes used the same cloud provider as mine. The price is fair and I love the incident workflow, the display is clear and allows you to describe all the steps. I really like the response times across regions graph by monitor, this helps us to know where we can improve our latency! **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** The only weakness I could find is the layout used for the status page and the lack of response times graph on the status page. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better Uptime helps me check the liveness of my services across the world. It's great that It can notify someone in charge of it based on a calendar and escalate it to all the team if the incident got no solution. The status page you can add is fully customizable as well, and you know how important it is to have a professional-looking status page. The best feature is you can receive a call on a phone number if an incident is occurring. Fantastic! **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** The thing I don't like is that you can't have a dashboard with the current status of every monitor you set up on more than one team. It's great that you can have an oversight view of a team's monitors, but if you have more than one team, you have to switch them to have a global view of the situation. The mobile app works fine for notifications but doesn't have any other feature, and it just lets you go to the web app dashboard through the mobile browser. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Two days after setting up my account on Better Uptime, I had a down of one of my servers, and this application was the first one to notify me about the incident. ### 22. A clean, modern look and feel coupled with an intuitive interface makes it so. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** The red and green dots on the dashboard are hard to tell apart for colourblind people. Also, I get you want to charge businesses - fair do's - but my hockey club is a voluntary non-profit organisation and we're love an on-call rota. **Recommendations to others considering Better Stack:** Look at the advanced settings, decide on your pricing tier early. Enjoy it! **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our Hockey club website goes offline periodically, about 2-3 times a year. Intuitive user interface, beautiful status page, frequent check interval, affordable (free!), Slack integration for alerting. It literally does everything I need it to do, and it does it extremely well. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** Nothing, maybe some better support around customizing the status page to fit in my site's dark theme without having to muck with CSS.
