**What do you like best about backstitch?**

We’ve had a fantastic experience using Backstitch as our total rewards statement solution. From the beginning, their platform has helped us bring transparency and clarity to our employees about the full value of their compensation and benefits package in a modern, engaging way.

The platform is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for our team to build visually compelling and personalized statements that go beyond just salary—capturing bonuses, equity, benefits, and even wellness offerings. Backstitch’s customization features gave us the flexibility to align messaging with our employer brand and HR goals.

Their team has been incredibly responsive and collaborative throughout the implementation process. They took time to understand our needs and offered proactive guidance to help us maximize the platform’s capabilities. The end result was a polished, interactive experience that left a strong impression on our employees and continues to be updated efficiently with great customer success managers.

Since launch, we’ve seen increased employee awareness of their total compensation and greater appreciation for the value the company provides. Backstitch has become an essential part of our Total Rewards communications strategy, and we highly recommend it to any HR team looking to elevate their employee experience.

We only wish we could integrate Backstitch to our HRIS system - Workday to make the data migration easier.

**What do you like best about backstitch?**

Backstitch has been a partner for our organization and client for 5+ years.  From the beginning, the implementation of our client's portal was quick and easy.  The backstitch team provided everything our client needed and continues to deliver professional and efficient customer support to our client.   The team is always available to answer questions and to make updates on the portal.   Keep up the great work.  We look forward to continuing the partnership.

There are no downsides to partnering with backstitch.

backstitch provides the benefits portal for our client.  The site has a great look and easy to use for employees.

Patience as we navigated several obstacles.

Unable to freeze account for a few months while we waited to change payroll companies.

Backstitch helped make it very clear employees what they earned the previous year and what their potential compensation for the current year could be.

**What do you like best about backstitch?**

The UI is fantastic! It makes telling the story about Total Compensation easier. I also love the customization that can be done.  There is a lot you can do, which is great, but it's a very cumbersome process to do it. Overall for the value it's brining our company, I like it!

**What do you dislike about backstitch?**

Updated: We've learned how to work through the system limitations, and now, even though I have to import files, it takes all of 5 minutes and is not that much of an issue anymore (but in all honesty, that's because I built a script/macro to speed it up). The reason this has been such an issue is that we update our statements every pay period vs. annually. I've spoken with the founders and am optimistic about some of the capabilities they have on their roadmap including more payroll integrations (true API integrations). Time will tell. 

The technology integrations is subpar and it was severely misrepresented in the sales process. Integrations are minimal, at best; in some cases, you're just submitting import files, which defeats the purpose of having an integration. Just say you don't have integrations.  I find it hard to believe with the logos they have they haven't figured out better integration. Disappointed that even when asked directly about specific integrations, we were told one thing, then got to implementation and experienced something different. Additionally, their typical user base is on Azure & Outlook, so it was a bit of a production trying to integrate with GSuite. Also, you're assigned an implementation specialist (they were great to work with, btw), but that person is basically a person of all trades and is more or less your AM, not just your implementation person; again another fact not mentioned during the sales process. The tool is a great first step, no doubt, but at a certain point, their current workflow and process are not sustainable. If given a do-over based on what I know now, I'd probably not choose this product for my company's needs.

Communicating and explaining the value of total compensation. Our employees greatly appreciate this level of transparency.

**What do you like best about backstitch?**

Where do I start? From the first conversation with the sales team to my account manager on the finished product, everyone at backstitch is interactive, helpful and responsive. The finished product is so well done and it is very easy for our employees to access the information.

**What do you dislike about backstitch?**

It's more on my end. We have nuances that have to be added manually to the report (they are not listed in ADP).  That takes time and concentration, but again, that's on my end.

**What problems is backstitch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employees often forget what wonderful benefits that our company offers.  This is a reminder of what "the hidden paycheck" is in addition to their actual compensation.

We use Backstitch for the Total Compensation page.  It looks professional, and easy to use.

This is our first year, we hope we have similar pleasant experience when we load for next year.

We need to show the total compensation to our employees, that the salary is not the only component for the total package.

Communication; more than70% of our population does not have comany email addresses or access to computers at work; the app solves that issue for US population.

**What do you like best about backstitch?**

Web aggregation, studio newsletter builder and ability to add widgets to customize newsfeeds. 

**What do you dislike about backstitch?**

Not much to dislike here. I think the look and feel of the design could use a little bit of a design upgrade.

Small company but very caring and work to create customized solutions for your needs.

We were looking to create an internal newsletter for key stakeholders in order to increase engagement.
