"Fast, Realistic Results with Great Support and Seamless Custom Material Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

The software has bit of a learning curve to it but once you get the hang of it, It is very easy to use.

I do work with custom materials so the integration of those work flawlessly most of the time.

It gives you realistic results very fast. And I think it is reasonably priced as well. Although I don't like the new credit system as well as the changes they have done with the cosmos library.

I wish it all could be integrated in the first payment you pay and add some kind of a bulk token system to refill it.

I really like how responsive their customer service is and I have had very pleasant and quick responses to all my requests so far.

I'm not a huge fan of AI but I do like how it enhance the vegetation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

The render time. It requires a very powerful CPU to render complex scenes and for freelancers like us it is quite difficult to obtain render farms dude to lower budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Realism: Fast Preview Renders, Great Materials, and Helpful AI Enhancer"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

Realistic lighting and material rendering with very little effort. The Cosmos browser makes it easy to find the right materials, and the included objects are perfect for making the work really stand out. Preview renders are fast, and the AI enhancer helps turn 3D people and plants into a more realistic image. 1-year fee helps to make costs low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

I’ve run into a few issues with the Cinema 4D interface. For example, the Corona Decal sometimes shows up completely black, especially when using black opacity textures. I’ve also noticed that some Fit to Object textures end up appearing very small. Another recurring problem is that when I make Cosmos objects editable, they often render as hidden. That can waste a lot of render time, because I only realize it after the render finishes and then have to enable them and render again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Workflow for Stunning, Realistic Renders with Corona Renderer"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

The good thing about Corona Renderer is that it enables one to turn an ordinary 3D model into a photorealistic picture seamlessly. This is primarily because lighting and materials work brilliantly especially in interior scenes where lighting coming from every object matters. Interactive rendering is also a cool feature since it features making little adjustments in materials, lighting, or camera parameters which enables getting the results in a matter of time. As one gets accustomed to the process it actually simplifies workflow and thus is extremely efficient when it comes to architectural visualization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

While Corona offers high quality rendering capabilities, rendering very complex scenes can still take up a lot of time, particularly when high resolution textures, complex light sources and many small objects are present. The program can demand a large amount of RAM, so it is important to have a decent work station. Achieving appropriate lighting conditions or very good material rendering often requires a lot of tweaking. If I could make any changes, I would like the process of working with high complexity scenes to be easier. It might take enough time for newbies to really understand the settings depending on the result they are trying to get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Corona with High-Quality, Photorealistic Renders"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

What I like most about Corona is how easy it is to use, along with the high-quality renders it produces. The interface feels intuitive, so I can create realistic visualizations without dealing with a steep learning curve. Features such as interactive rendering and a quick setup help streamline my workflow, while still delivering photorealistic, high-quality results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

One thing I dislike about Corona is that rendering complex scenes can become very resource-intensive and time-consuming, especially on less powerful hardware. I’ve also found that some of the more advanced features take a bit of experimentation to get the best results, which can slightly slow down the workflow for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

"Intuitive UI and Hyper-Realistic Renders That Bring Steel Detailing to Life"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

The user interface is incredibly intuitive, which makes setting up even complex scenes very efficient. As a Team Leader and Structural Designer, I really appreciate how straightforward the settings are, because it lets me focus on the design instead of wrestling with technical sliders. The hyper-realistic output is the best I’ve seen so far, and it makes my steel detailing work feel genuinely tangible. I also really like the overall quality of the final images, the materials, lighting, and reflections make steel structures and connections look very close to how they would appear in a real space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

Render time is probably my biggest issue. I think Corona could be faster to drop a render. While the Vantage integration is a good step, I feel the CPU rendering could be optimized further to match the speed of my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

Dear Kendra, we're delighted to hear that Corona has been beneficial for your steel detailing work. We acknowledge your feedback regarding render time and are actively working on optimizing our CPU rendering to enhance your overall experience. Thank you for sharing your insights with us!

"Highly Intuitive for Architectural Rendering"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

I use Corona for architectural and product rendering and developing reference environments for gaming. I appreciate the setup of lighting and the ability to modify materials. I love playing with textures, their reflections, and blending two materials using triplanar maps, which makes things feel really easy. The realistic approach to materials in Corona, which closely follows physical laws, led my team to switch from Blender to Corona with Autodesk 3ds Max. The initial setup of Corona was very easy for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

I think Corona could be improved by providing a live sync capability for the environment, similar to what Unreal Engine or Vantage offers. This feature would be a really great help for artists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

Thank you Shan for sharing your positive experience with using Corona for architectural rendering and gaming environments. We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the lighting setup, material modification capabilities, and the ease of working with textures in Corona. I will pass along your live sync capability suggestion to our development team for consideration. We are glad to hear that Corona has been beneficial in improving the realism of your projects and managing complex assets efficiently!

"Facilities and results"
4/5
What do you like best about Corona?

Corona is very easy to handle and allows you to quickly achieve satisfactory results while offering a real possibility to create complex materials and scenes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

There are still a few options missing in Corona, such as proper support for baking or even a toon shader (not to mention the GPU rendering that will probably never arrive). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic Renders Fast—Interactive Lighting That Shines for Interiors"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

What I like most about Corona is how realistic the renders look without needing to spend a lot of time fine-tuning the lighting. The interactive render is particularly helpful, since I can make a change and see the result almost right away. In my experience, it also works very well for interior scenes, especially when I’m balancing daylight with artificial lighting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

The main issue I’ve noticed is how much RAM it can use with larger, more detailed scenes. Once a project becomes complex, performance can slow down quite a bit. I also sometimes wish there were more built-in post-processing options. On top of that, rendering larger projects can take a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

Thank you Himid-Lução, for sharing your positive experience with Corona's realistic renders and interactive lighting! We acknowledge the challenge with RAM usage for larger scenes and the need for more post-processing options. Our team is dedicated to enhancing the overall performance of the software and consistently adding new features.

"Fast, Realistic Renders with Helpful Chaos Cosmos Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

What I like most about Corona is how quickly I can produce a realistic render. The Chaos Cosmos integration is particularly helpful, since access to scanned materials and ready-to-use 3D models saves me a lot of time. Coming from Vray, I found the transition to be fairly straightforward as well. On top of that, the collaboration features are a real plus for the way I work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

The AI enhancer isn't really a feature I use much. I'd also like to have more flexibility with post-processing. A material proxy option would be useful as well. The scatter tool can make scenes quite heavy, so that's an area I'd like to see improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

Thank you Calli-Kim for sharing your positive experience with Corona's fast and realistic rendering capabilities, as well as the convenience of Chaos Cosmos integration. We understand your feedback on the AI enhancer, post-processing flexibility, material proxy option, and scatter tool, and we'll keep these in mind for potential enhancements. We're pleased to hear that Corona is helping you achieve efficient and realistic results, ultimately improving your project turnaround time!

"Effortless Photorealism with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Corona?

I use Corona for commercial architectural visualization, as well as my personal projects. It is super easy to set up and use, and it produces photorealistic results that are convincing and beautiful. It pretty much works out of the box and helps me create successful, memorable imagery. I also love that it comes with the Cosmos library, which gives me a huge range of drag-and-drop assets like people, plants, vehicles, materials, and HDRIs. On top of that, the Chaos tech support is excellent. On the rare occasions I have an issue or need assistance, they are quick and responsive and always manage to solve my problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Corona?

I don't really have any complaints. The one thing I'd like to see improved is the compatibility with Chaos Vantage, which, according to the latest AMA with Corona's manager Tom Grimes, the team is already working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Corona

Thank you Teodor for sharing your positive experience with Corona! We're happy to hear that you find it easy to use and that it helps you create stunning imagery for your architectural visualization projects.
