3ds Max is mainly used for 3D modeling, rendering, animation, and visualization work. It is widely used in architectural visualization, interior design, product visualization, gaming, and animation projects.

I personally use it mostly for interior and architectural 3D visualization. It helps create realistic room designs, furniture layouts, lighting setups, materials, and presentation renders that make it easier for clients to understand the final look before execution. It’s also useful for walkthrough animations, detailed modeling, and high-quality rendering for presentations and marketing visuals.

### Comment 2

3ds Max Design is mainly used for creating high-quality 3D models and realistic visualizations, especially in architecture and interior design. Designers use it to build detailed room layouts, furniture models, and entire building structures, and then add realistic lighting, textures, and materials so the final render looks just like a real photo. It’s also used for walkthrough animations, so clients can “tour” a space before it’s even built. Because it has precise measurement tools and supports photorealistic rendering (especially when paired with V-Ray), it’s perfect for showing exactly how a design will look in real life.
