Being able to specify usage terms when uploading assets. It's impossible to have oversight over everyone who is downloading assets, so having this info clear and obviously stated is the next best thing to ensure that things are being used correctly.

The UX is clunky and more difficult that it needs to be. For example, the process of uploading was quite confusing to learn when I joined the team. It's something I've learned over time, but I feel that it could all be a bit more intuitive.

Other things are that I think that there should be a reverse image search function, as tags aren't always useful. I also think that it should automatically assign a cover image to albums (which can be changed later), either that or it could have picking a cover image as part of the upload process. We did manage to get an account manager who we could have calls with and email with any questions to get set up.

Lots of storage and you can view assets clearly, even video, without having to click into each one which is great when you have bandwidth challenges

Not that intuitive to use as an admin and can be a bit unclear on how to manage access to folders for certain groups of users.

You cannot search using an image on the version we have to see if it already exists in your asset bank.

Assetbank allows me as an image maker and film maker to catalog and locate all of my material in one location. It allows me to create portfolios for quick search and itemization daily and on the road for different segments of a Fortune 500 business. I have also developed with AssetBank an approval process for our in-house safety teams to be able to review images before they go live to our other teams for any uses. No other DAM software or library system can do that for me. It also allows very specific search criteria and ability for creating light boxes for grouped images which can be shared in various sizes with internal and external users or clients. I could not imagine any other way to effectively manage our imaging assets when each year we add an additional 12-15,000 assets. I’ve been sold for the last 15 years. The client management for US clients can be disconnected because of the UK home base, their time zones, and limited days available on calendars. It would be super of they had a small US based team for US clients. It would be good to know costs for storage upgrades with an easy to find location for company budgeting. Could not fault the standard of person to person customer care with our Customer Support Lead, Angela. Queries have been dealt with in a friendly manner and online calls organised every few months which has been helpful. Our company is currently going through a re-organisation of folders in order to be able to find assets more efficiently and Angela has really helped us on our journey, ensuring we are made aware of continuous improvements that may aid our on-going project. With continuous improvements and new features we are discovering, it has been a learning curve to say the least! Since beginning my role in the company getting my head around the software was challenging at first however Angela has been on hand to support with this onboarding and I now feel a lot more comfortable using the system and its features to their full advantage. Asset Bank is fantastic for organising all of your imagery, logos and video assets. We've been able to house all of our clients assets in easy to manage folders and the unique ID number has taken out an unecessary back and forth on which image to use on websites or digital campaigns.
