**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I love the “feels like I’m inside the businesses system feel” for clients. I love that I can bill them from the software, and I especially love the custom workflows, I love the forms, I love the ability to add multiple people a company etc

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I’m sure it’s there but I haven’t messed with it too much so take this as user error - I don’t like that I cannot see a place where I can display my services more easily vs the client having to dig for them.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I launched my business, the first thing I thought was “How am I going to keep track with our business clients?” Billing, scheduling etc. I had no idea a company like assembly existed. Of course, like other A.I users I did my lazy research and A.I vouched that assembly was top choice for my business so I went with assembly and A.I was not wrong. So currently, assembly helps with ALL of my client management and makes it feel more premium and luxurious and exclusive. Circle feel for sure.

Copilot keeps all my clients in one place, and each one has their own branded portal. That setup makes it simple to manage messages, invoices, files, and forms without constantly switching between different tools. Having a dedicated, well-organized space for each client streamlines my workflow, keeps communication clear, and helps create a more professional experience for both me and my clients.

I wish the plans were a little cheaper, but either way, I really love the platform.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy to keep all client information and projects in one organized place, including deposits, contracts, proposals, and invoices. With everything centralized, I can quickly pull up the details I need, track project progress, and manage client relationships more efficiently. Overall, it saves me time, lowers the chance of missing important details, and helps keep my workflow running smoothly.

Assembly is giving us one centralized system to manage our entire client lifecycle, from lead capture to onboarding to ongoing service delivery. Before Assembly, information was spread across messages, email, HoneyBook, and spreadsheets, which created delays, missed follow-ups, and inefficiencies.

Now, Assembly allows our team to:

• Capture and organize leads in one place
• Assign ownership and tasks to the correct team member (Diedra, Echia, or myself)
• Track every client’s stage in the pipeline, from inquiry to paid client
• Automate follow-ups, reminders, and onboarding workflows

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I use Assembly for my financial planning firm, and what's really great is the client onboarding process. I'm able to assign immediate tasks that remind clients to fill out their financial planning questionnaires, ensuring they don't forget. I can also assign onboarding tasks, like reading documents or finding account statements, which streamlines and makes the process fluid. It makes it easy for clients to check off tasks. I also really like the features that allow me to customize and add ways for clients to log in and set up appointments with me. I can add different sections for booking appointments, and clients can access their financial planning questionnaires directly from the platform. The ability for clients to access anything they need, including external links directly from Assembly, is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I would unselect the embed feature for other documents or sites to be much better and more interactive. I'd rather my clients be able to just access and utilize those sites directly from the embed in Assembly.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assembly provides an easy and great client onboarding experience. I can assign tasks to clients, ensuring they stay on track with financial plans, and they find it easy to check off tasks, making the process streamlined and fluid.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I use Assembly as a client portal for my bookkeeping business and it provides an encrypted environment to share confidential financial information. I like that it consolidates everything, including payments and contracts, in one place. I'm glad I can have the payment processing fees be charged to my clients, which is crucial for maintaining my profit margin. Additionally, I appreciate the magic links feature because it prevents my customers from getting frustrated when they forget their passwords. I don’t want a software that frustrates my clients. Setting up Assembly went smoothly, especially because I watched Chloe’s YouTube videos.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

The services section of the billing app is a little clunky. It took me a few tries to delete and recreate services that were recurring instead of one-time. I didn’t realize that subscription items had to be listed as recurring when I created the service item.

I use Assembly for a secure environment to share confidential financial information and for consolidated management of payments and contracts. It helps cover payment processing fees through clients, maintaining margins. Magic links ease client login issues, reducing frustration.

It’s easy to use, with a simple, easy-to-navigate interface. The client portal looks professional and does a great job of bringing many items together in one place. I also find the custom visibility by company/client very helpful for controlling who can see what.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I’d love to see some additional functionality, such as automated task reminders and more robust native automations. That said, it seems the team is already working on these improvements and will roll out solutions as soon as possible.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assembly is helping us centralize client communication and tasks. Instead of relying on email to track onboarding steps, asset reviews, and similar items, we can assign tasks directly, making it much easier to see what’s been completed and what’s still outstanding. Having a centralized place for file uploads, forms, contracts, and billing is also a big plus, creating a much better overall experience for our clients.

I really like the flexibility that Assembly offers. There's the concept of having apps and tailoring workflows for individual customers. The automations that Assembly provides are really unmatched. We were previously doing everything via email, which was driving us nuts. The setup process was super simple and self-explanatory, helped by the community hub and responsive support. It was up and running in like an hour, which was great.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I've been having some trouble with the Google Drive app so far. But I think it's user error. I think there's a security setting on my side, but I'll say Assembly team, I'm gonna have a call with them tomorrow to actually get that sorted out. So, hopefully, it's just a small snag.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assembly lets us create a sophisticated premium feel for our clients, setting us apart from competitors. The flexibility with apps and workflows, along with unmatched automation, saves significant time by automating processes that used to drive us nuts when done manually.

I find Assembly to be incredibly beneficial for managing CRM for employees. It offers a centralized place where employees can log in to access all company apps, which simplifies our workflow. I love the ability to have individual file storage and the automations are wonderful, such as automatically signing an NDA on sign-up. As a developer, I appreciate the API that allows me to add functionalities like signatures or messaging. The customer support is also commendable, plus they make it easy to sign a BAA. The initial setup was super easy and self-explanatory with great documentation. The overall value of Assembly led me to pay for a year right away, and I would rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommending to others.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Customizing the client facing portal more would be about all I can think of. If it was possible to fully customize with CSS or even some themes it would be nice. It has some customization but not that much.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assembly provides a centralized platform for accessing company apps and file storage, simplifies automation like NDA signing, and offers a great API and customer support. It's easy to set up and provides much value as a new company solution.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I really appreciate how easy Assembly is to use and how intuitive the navigation feels. The UI is modern, clean, and well-designed, which makes daily work much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

One challenge we have is that the message section doesn’t sync properly when using separate internal users. The messages appear as unread even when they’ve already been opened by someone else. Because of this, we currently have to share one internal user account.

Another limitation is that we can’t click directly on a user’s name within a message channel to go to their profile. Instead, we have to copy the name, switch to the CRM, paste it, and manually open the profile — which adds unnecessary steps.

It would also be helpful if the total message count showed the number of channels (users) instead of total messages, and if the counter didn’t stop at 99+ but displayed the actual number.

In addition, several automations don’t seem to work reliably and often fail without showing a clear error. For example, automations involving tag updates frequently fail.

Assembly allows us to communicate efficiently with our users and keep track of their statuses. Having everything in one place helps us stay organized and ensures smoother follow-ups.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I really like the ease of setting up Assembly. It was very straightforward, and I had everything set up in one day, which was amazing compared to another product we looked at that was hard to set up and understand. Assembly was extremely easy to understand, and there was no large learning curve. I also appreciate how it helps streamline the onboarding process for our clients, allowing them to get everything they need, like files, forms, and agreements, all in one place. They can even chat there, making it very useful.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I would love if there were conditional forms in Assembly. Right now, you have to create a question for each possible situation, which can be cumbersome. I'd also love if the workflow was conditional, like if a certain agreement was sent in order because a specific service was selected.

I love the fact that my clients have a white label portal with Assembly. It gives my clients access to everything they need in one place versus having to use 15 different platforms, and we can even link those platforms within Assembly. The setup was absolutely phenomenal, so straightforward that even a five-year-old could do it.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

One thing that I do wish you guys had was a QuickBooks payments integration, but other than that, everything's been great.

Assembly gives my clients access to a white-labeled portal where they can see all their assets, tasks, and deliverables in one place. It's a game changer, reducing the need for multiple platforms and simplifying client interactions.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I love that Assembly allows me to message my client, send files, contracts, or invoices, and manage the admin side of my design business all in one tool. The setup was so easy I had everything ready in less than thirty minutes. Having it all in one tool lets me quickly find information instead of scrambling across different platforms. It's more professional for my solo-business model to have a client portal, giving me peace of mind. I also appreciate that I can start with the Starter plan and plan to upgrade to use my custom domain once I have more clients. The seamless integration with my website for the client portal is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I wish Assembly had an iOS app for clients and for me to access so I could have the experience of my dashboard optimized to my mobile device instead of a mobile web experience. I would prefer to have push notifications and native widgets. I’m a native app power user but it’s so helpful having admin tools in an app than being limited to the web.

I appreciate how they bring together the various processes I rely on to manage a large number of clients. They provide nearly all the solutions I need to centralize my practice, while also meeting important standards for security, client experience, and office management. In some respects, I feel they even help me stay ahead of others in my field.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Although they offer great solutions for workarounds on features that they do not have, I'm hoping that they are able to implement Rich text and HTML, for the client facing side of the secure portal.

I manage a professional tax and accounting practice, along with various other services for small businesses and individuals in the financial sector.

Assembly has provided effective solutions for my accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes. They have also streamlined my lead management by centralizing the process—from capturing marketing leads, moving them through a sales funnel, converting them, and then managing ongoing client relationships.

Additionally, Assembly assists in delegating tasks and delivering relevant information to my existing clients, supporting growth strategy marketing and helping to upsell internal clients with new products and go-to-market strategies.

Project management is crucial for ensuring that the work sold meets deadlines and milestones as required by our product offerings and deliverables. In my industry, it is essential to follow precise steps to guarantee proper processing and authorizations, all while maintaining security and prompt communication between clients and Assembly administrators.

We've been really impressed with the ease of access and how we are able to present information to clients. We originally purchased the platform because it was an easy way for us to manage how we share information on final files with clients, and now we use it for much more.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I would love a separate landing page for different categories of clients os that we could display different information for clients in different industries.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a singular place for final file storage for clients that simplified that management process. We chose Assembly because it also offered simplified project approvals, which means our projects don't get bogged down in email. We're still working on adoption for our legacy clients but it's been a really great solution for our team and our client base as we scale.

I really like the automation side of things in Assembly, like automating contracts, forms, and other key features. It makes it convenient for us to assign contracts and automate related tasks when a client fits a certain tag. Also, the initial setup was super easy.

The price is a little high for what it is... Features I'd like to have that would make it more valuable to me:

- Ability to edit contracts in the software so I don't have to re-upload a new one every time I notice a mistake
- Ability to send a contract and payment in ONE link then it creates or updates a client in the CRM, so I can make things easy to onboard new clients.

I'd say probably adding a little more user interface interaction, a couple more features. Maybe a bit more customization when it comes to forms. The messaging section can definitely be improved. I would say that's the weakest point.

After conducting extensive research to identify a reliable external portal with the right capabilities, I selected Co-Pilot—and I couldn’t be more pleased with the choice. It offers far more features than comparable platforms while remaining extremely user-friendly, making it an excellent fit for the company. I especially love the many updates and new features added over the past year, along with the ability to integrate externally designed pages through iframes, which allows for a seamless, flexible, and highly customizable experience.

There is very limited customization that is available in the platform. There is no public roadmap of features and support is limited (late replies and when they do reply only confirm that features are not available).

Copilot is helping us onboard new clients through an onboarding process that requires the collection of many disperate pieces of information. It also allows us to process invoices for the client and capture signatures on key documents.

It doesn’t feel like it’s 100% self-service, which makes it challenging without external help. I have a few things I wish were features but they are small items. One of them being automated tasks, a  forward and backwards arrow when I am in files in a folder instead of going out and back in again and an audit log of when magic links are sent for each person.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

Copilot makes the customer buying experience seamless. No more manual email back-and-forths — we save so much time, and every file is automatically organized by client. It’s been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I think not being able to add another user for a flat fee is tough. The basic plan should really allow at least 2 users — jumping from 1 to 3 for an extra $150 per month feels like too big of a leap. Also, more app integrations are definitely needed. Right now, most of them are very similar in functionality. It would be great to see options like order tracking apps, quoting apps, and other tools that expand the platform’s capabilities.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Copilot is mainly smoothing out the messy parts of your customer workflow. Instead of juggling long email threads, hunting for files, or losing track of revisions, everything for a client lives in one place automatically. That means:

Time saved: no more back-and-forths trying to confirm which file is “final” or re-sending the same info multiple times.

Clarity: every client has their own organized hub, so nothing gets misplaced.

Consistency: processes run the same way across clients, which makes it easier to scale without chaos.

We’ve recently started using Copilot as our onboarding portal at 19 Six Media, and it’s been a game-changer. The platform is incredibly intuitive and easy to set up—perfect for creating a smooth, professional experience for new clients.

What really stands out is the support team. For the trickier bits, their help has been fast, clear, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to find a tool that balances ease of use with powerful features, but Copilot nails it.

Highly recommend to any business looking to streamline their onboarding and deliver a seamless client experience.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

The only drawback we’ve found so far is the lack of native automations, which would make an already smooth process even more powerful. That said, the team at Copilot is actively working on this, and based on their responsiveness so far, we’re confident it’s coming soon.

Copilot has solved a major gap in our client onboarding process by giving us a centralised, professional platform to manage communication, document sharing, and onboarding steps. It’s eliminated messy email chains, reduced back-and-forth, and created a far more polished experience for new clients. The ability to guide clients through a clear, branded portal has helped us make stronger first impressions and get projects moving faster with less friction.

I have used Assembly for a few years now. For me, it Centralizes documents and information which apeases my OCD. This also helps communication with my customers.. There things I would like adjusted, but Assembly is always doing just that. They continue to adapt to the current environment.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I would like the task list to be customizable. I would also like to edit documents within the system, without having to download then re upload.

I appreciate the client management and messaging feature that Copilot offers as they enhance communication efficiency. The platform is professional, which leaves a good impression on clients, and it has comprehensive all-in-one features. Though not utilized extensively, I see the potential of the knowledge base for client training.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I find the setup process for Copilot to be quite challenging and not as user-friendly compared to other tools like Bonsai. The inability to manually reorder tasks is frustrating, as it requires adding tasks in reverse order to display them correctly. The biggest shortfall, however, is the payment collection system. Being in Canada and billing clients in US dollars should be straightforward, as it is with other services I use, but with Copilot, it becomes a complex issue. The initial setup with my Stripe account led to rejected deposits because Copilot did not handle the currency correctly, forcing me to reconfigure it to Canadian dollars. This limitation has rendered the invoicing feature essentially useless for my needs. Additionally, the integration issues with QuickBooks further complicate billing, as I cannot seamlessly manage US dollar transactions. The high subscription cost of Copilot feels unjustified when the key features like invoicing do not work for my international billing needs.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Copilot improves client communication through its messaging feature, allowing project managers to track all interactions without needing to be cc'd, enhancing team communication efficiency.
