I’m not able to copy items between the request (DRW) and change (DCO). I have to add those items manually each time, which is a tedious task. It would be great if we could copy the items from change to request, or vice versa.

Also, modifying the Bill of Materials for assembly items in the BOM tab is getting difficult. It would be much easier if we could replace items, reorder them, and edit quantities for all items within a single tab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Prior to using Arena we used to use 3DX a lot for PLM and Arena is so much better. You can make changes without up-reving a part. It's not just an engineering exclusive app, everyone in the company has access to it. It's easier for suppliers to pull the latest version of everything and we can control what they see. Watermarks on any printed files so we can track who accessed it and when. We can search items via any keyword whether it is featured in the title, description or any other attribute. It also simplifies the approval process, you can track who hasn't approved yet and nudged them and also you have particular stakeholders who force approve in case of an emergency. Not being able to see CAD models is a little annoying. I wish there was a small 3d viewer just to visualize the part and make sure we're looking at the correct one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Arena PLM & QMS very useful for managing parts, assemblies, drawings, and documents related to products in our organization. The sorting feature is really helpful, allowing me to filter out the documents I need to work on quickly, which saves me a lot of time. I really like the revision management capability as it helps me get the latest part drawings and understand the changes made in previous revisions. This gives me a clear picture and helps manage my RA approvals efficiently. Also, the initial setup was quick and easy, which helped me understand the software's functionality better. The Excel export in Arena PLM & QMS doesn't work well. Whenever I try to export the data into Excel, some of the parameters are missing, like some numericals, alphabets, and quantity of items. I use Arena PLM & QMS at work to keep track of product parts, suppliers, documentation, ECOs, and changes. It's treated as the source of truth for all production release parts and machines, and a go-to source for the latest released documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I despise the search feature. There is no 'fuzzy' search and knowing the exact naming or part number is necessary to find the correct document. Also, when creating a part it's hard to keep a consistent structure across multiple people in the organization and sometimes duplicate information exists. Maybe this is an SSO issue but my Arena is most often logged out and I need to keep entering my email address every time I access the site whereas all my other Okta apps are fine and login automatically. The centralized management of project requests, change orders, and item records across structured fields makes tracking very efficient. Having approvals and phase-gate reviews accessible from a single platform significantly improves visibility and control. There is limited functionality for tracking activities from the production and implementation side. Currently, additional tools such as SAP or BAAN are required to manage ERP-related execution and manufacturing progress. While uploading the latest files in items, the older name still sticks, and new files do not get auto-updated. I have to upload files individually in the request category. Arena PLM is very easy to use and works well for daily tasks like documentation control, BOM management, requests, and engineering changes.
