The best part I like in arena plm is planning and prizing feature. Its a cloud connected which makes the life much simpler, by reducing the cost of investing in infrastructure and hardware. **What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?** Arena PLM has to improve its capability more on the integration part with other third party tools, which is really a tricky part with Arena PLM. **What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has all the basic functionalities of PLM like Manufacturing Outsourcing, New Product Development, BOM Management, Change and Revision Control, Compliance Management and File Management. ### 3. Does not require someone in IT to complete any administrative changes in the system. Continual upgrades occur from the manufacturer to make it better. Change Orders are easy to create and track to completion. Searching can be very easy once one learns how to search. Allows for both Administrative ability to enter data and through change orders depending on how one has done the initial setup of the product for the locations use. Easy to get to the top level assembly from a lower component, no matter how many levels are within the Bill of Materials. Cloud based system with direct setup from Arena as part of the initial purchase and setup. Nice people to work with. **What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?** Reporting is minimal, you require additional steps to complete the retrieval of some of the data that one may want to get from the system. Making changes in the administrative settings for items, categories, etc must be carefully managed to ensure that data is not lost or misunderstood after the changes have been added/implemented. I wish Supplier information was also revision controlled to allow for the differentiation of records associated with each item stays only with that revision. It does associate to specific revisions, but the delineation between one and the other is not there consistently across multiple views. I wish it had a way to drag and drop multiple files at once for upload instead of selection of 1 by 1 **Recommendations to others considering Arena PLM & QMS:** Better reporting structure Clearer vision for usage of the various modules and how they may really help them verses sticking with the simplest setup. Cost structure may still be intimidating to a search of lowest cost and a system that will provide the basic needs and abilities to grow with their company should they decide to be more inclusive of other modules. **What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solves tracking of files to each revision of an item (SOP, documents, parts, assemblies, etc) Track Bill of Materials per assemblies and multiple product configurations. Track SOP information QSR, DHR, DMR set as structures for long term tracking of information for medical device records. EU MDD Tech file set ups as well. Simple one stop location for data on BOM information. Simple tracking of SOP files and associated records. Ease in tracking change orders and traceable back to the products. ### 7. It was easy to navigate and create parts, and BOM. **What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?** Using it to allow vendors access to your drawings and BOM was a little tricky and took some time to figure out properly. The inputting of new BOM took some time and could of been better streamlined. **Recommendations to others considering Arena PLM & QMS:** I've used several different PLM software and Arena is a good entry into PLM. **What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to track BOMs and project life cycle with the software. Allowing access from multiple office locations. It was chosen over several other competitors for the easy of use and the web based system. ### 8. Should have open choices to all tabs of data and fields that users create should be listed to include into a report. **What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to have a controlled/validated system to process changes to your products. Using this system with our regimented procedures results in no findings during ISO and FDA Audits. ### 9. For manufacturers with a need to control their Bill of Matrial (BOM) and changes processes, Arena Solutions is one of the most cost-effective and easy to deploy solutions. It has all the required features for managing multi versions through the product life-cycle and collaborate internally and with vendors and CM (Contact Manufacturers), all of it delivered in the cloud, securely, and reliably. Arena will integrate with most of the ERP packages and has a pre-build integration to NetSuite. Engineering Managers, and Directors/VP's of Operations who used to work with the large PLM suites (Oracle Agile / Enovia etc.) and are looking to implement a PLM solution at their Start-up or SME (Small Medium sized companies), would find this product as a very relevant option, **What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?** Arena should consider more aggressive marketing to better position them as the #1 vendor in their space (Cloud PLM), like Salesforce did many years ago for CRM.
