What do you like best about Arctera Backup Exec?

Very simple to backup everything. With Backup Exec you can backup everything you have in your business. From a simple server to a HyperV host, Exchange Server, Share Point Server... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Arctera Backup Exec?

Sometimes the software becomes unresponsive.

The simplest thing to delete a backup after being duplicated to another media it's impossible to do easily. It's very difficult in terms of bandwidth to do a backup to a server in a remote location even if the destination storage is in the same location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Arctera Backup Exec?

Backup Exec allows me to custom-tailor my daily and monthly backups in ways other products can't do. For example, duplicating from the internal storage on the Backup Exec server to an external USB disk or Tape Drive is easy. Select the backed-up data, click Duplicate, then choose the device to duplicate too, and that's it!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Arctera Backup Exec?

The data compression is decent but could be better. Depending on your environment, I would recommend at least a 30TB array in your Backup Exec server. Anything less, you may quickly run out of space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most disliked things about the Veritas Backup Exec is the low transfer and data copy rate between the backup client and the Veritas Backup Exec server host, it's takes too much time to transfer 1TB over the LAN which is not useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the layout of the different jobs and the reporting you can get on those jobs. If you need to do a restore, the restore process is much more straightforward then many of their competitors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the main things I dislike about Veritas Backup Exec is that you have to pay for a different version license even when your license is still valid and hasn't expired
