My experience with NAKIVO Backup & Replication over the past year has been nothing short of transformative. Having managed backup systems for 18 years, I can confidently say that NAKIVO provides the best management experience of any enterprise tool I have used. Nakivo is quick to setup and user friendly. There are a number of features such as replication, backup, failover and failback which makes allows workloads to migrated successfully. It provides detailed reports into why a job was successful or why it failed. We were looking for a reliable and fast backup of our companys Office365 mailboxes and a couple of virtual machines. After evaluating a couple of solutions Nakivo turned out to be reliable and fast while being priced fair.

Support always answers fast and onboarding sessions are very helpful.

The modern frontend makes it easy to use and setup was fast.

So far as I know, removable media has to be set up as multiple repositories instead of the software dealing with a bundle of devices that may be rotated as a single entity. I like NAKIVO Backup & Replication because of its great user experience and seamless deployment. It's super easy to set up, and it doesn't consume much storage space, which is perfect for replicating data between production and DR sites without the unnecessary use of local storage. The solution aligns directly with what the customer needs in terms of replication, unlike my experiences with previous products. I switched from Acronis and Altaro by Hornet Security because NAKIVO doesn't require backing up locally before replicating, saving storage and data space, and it offers better customer service and pricing. I've been using Nakivo for about a month now.

With over 20 years of experience in backup solutions like TSM, Commvault, and Veeam, I decided to give Nakivo a try after using Veeam for a small number of on-premise workloads.

Its interface is highly intuitive, allowing anyone with experience in backup solutions to set it up quickly.

Since it supports deployment via a Virtual Appliance, the installation process is very fast and convenient.

I was able to configure the tool on my own in under 2 hours for and integration to a workload that included ESXi, Proxmox, and repositories on AWS S3.

We also tested the disaster recovery process. Using the configuration backup, we successfully restored the service in less than 15 minutes, easily accessing the external repositories.

Since the solution is so intuitive, I didn't need to use technical support, but the sales team was quick to respond to my needs and questions.

It lacks some of the features found in more expensive solutions.

The main feature I missed was an integrated backup of just the SQL Server transaction log. However, this can be worked around using other methods, like scripts or more frequent backup cycles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nakivo Backup is very easy to set up. I particularly appreciate the ability to use the software on different platforms while having centralized, unified management across multiple machines. The range of features is impressive: With Nakivo Backup, you have a central solution to back up both virtual machines (on different host environments), physical servers and workstations, as well as M365 accounts. Unfortunately, you cannot directly edit LXC containers without equipping them with an agent. With deduplicating backups, quite large container files are created and modified. This makes an offsite copy via rsync quite slow with larger amounts of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use NAKIVO Backup & Replication for a reliable infrastructure of backups and recoveries. The tool is super easy to use and offers good security for data protection. The ease of use is relatively well-suited for everyone. I primarily use it for Microsoft 365 because it is just super easy to use, and I also back up two servers with it. Our company has used Nakivo as its backup solution for over seven years. From the beginning, I have appreciated how simple and intuitive the software is. I have rarely needed to refer to the documentation when performing basic backup or restore operations. The online help for advanced features is well-organized and descriptive.
