There is no downside of using Veritas Backup Exec, as the advantages of Backup Exec is outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like when it works and I don't have to touch it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like when it doesn't work, and fixing it is a nightmare, compounded by ineffectual support who's only goal seems to be creating tickets, and fulfilling the bureaucratic goals set out by the company.

At no point in my dealings with customer service have I felt like my problem was even understood, or considered, before being delivered a gold plated email filled with copy-pasted boilerplate which didn't even acknowledge my simple issue. In addition to this when I explicitly told the technician I didn't have time to take their call and to please respond to the email I was harangue for 3 minutes, repeating myself 4 times to respond to the email until the "support agent" finally let me get back to my job. Unacceptable aggressive behavior like this is indicative of systemic issues with management at the company in my opinion, which leads me to distrust this product.

Thank you for the venue to state my complaints, I'll give you a 1/10 for that over a 0, but I will be doing my best to convince my company to move away from this software in the coming months since I cannot risk a system failure that cannot be correct by myself, presuming that your support will be ineffectual in the future as well.

Honestly, the handling of "Configuration Tasks" in Home could be improved because sometimes it doesn't update the status after repair. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Errors that say nothing. Performance instability. E.g. the same job that worked 50 times - the next one will not work. Or a job scheduled will not run and called manually will execute without a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
