I wish the reporting capabilities were a little more robust. For example, we download or export PPT versions of reports and then need to edit those reports to include insights. I wish there was a way to add insights to an Alchemer reporting link so we could share that link with client teams rather than forcing us to export, format, and add insights to a PPT version. I know the business license upgrade comes with dashboarding capabilities, but I wish we could get access to those without needing to upgrade our license. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how Alchemer Survey allows me to be creative with customer surveys at my market research job. Their support team is amazing, and I know I can rely on them for any questions. For example, I had a situation last week when I couldn't figure out how to get the survey to randomly choose from acceptable options to lead the respondent to the appropriate follow-up question set (but only a max of two!) and prioritize certain option over others -- a tall order! But Alchemer support team was up for the challenge - they work through the issue over the phone and provide explicit follow-up via email. And if you still have a problem then you can call them back. I also find the survey tool itself very user-friendly, and I use it for every survey I conduct. Some things require custom scripts, making it a bit tricky. For instance, when I needed a workaround for respondents to provide feedback on a question and depending on their rating, they would receive different sets of custom questions. It required intricate scripting to manage whether they received 0, 1, or 2 additional questions based on their initial response. I love the support from Alchemer Survey; it's pretty easy to use, and there's a lot of educational material. The programming and functionality are so similar to Qualtrics, and you can do complex survey tasks that most basic survey tools don't have. I especially like the generate test response feature, as it automatically generates responses, so you don't have to have someone test it for you, which is super helpful. The level of customization Alchemer offers is really impressive. We've been able to build some pretty complex survey flows with skip logic and branching that would of been impossible in simpler tools. The interface is fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it, and the reporting dashboards are genuinely useful for sharing results with stakeholders. The pricing can be a bit steep, especially for smaller teams. Also the initial setup took longer then we anticipated - there's quite a learning curve with some of the more advanced features. The documentation could be better in certain areas, we often found ourselves digging through community forums to find answers. Would be nice if their support was a bit more responsive to. Certain functionality limitations or funkiness. For example: Percent Branch Action does not have Select all / Clear all functions. For the entire branch logic and under each page. Would make configuring percent branch actions WAY easier and less error prone. There are lots of little things like this that are very annoying and require convoluted workarounds. The best things i liked about Alchemer Survey are its features like intuitive survey builder which is beginner friendly, Advanced logic and branching, Flexible customization, Strong Report and Analytics and also Good Customer Support

For integration it connects well with crm, marketing and workflow platforms making it easy to push survey data directly

The performance also handles both simple and complex programs sufficiently

Compared to larger enterprises platforms like Qualtric, Alchemer is cost effective and predictable in pricing

One limitation i have noticed that Alchemer's analytic and automation features are powerful, some of the advanced logic and AI Driven insight feel less transparent and require some optmization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI is very user-friendly, and the drag-and-drop functionality is genuinely helpful. I also like the range of integrations it offers, such as with CRM tools, which makes syncing data straightforward. Overall, Alchemer offers reasonable pricing for its services. At the moment, it doesn’t really feel like Alchemer offers much in terms of AI integration, or at least it isn’t very visible within the product. If there are AI features available, I’d describe them more as a handful of AI-driven analysis tools rather than AI being a central focus. Another area where Alchemer Survey could improve is the onboarding experience. For new users, it can feel a bit overwhelming, since the guidance and step-by-step direction aren’t as comprehensive as they could be. I use Alchemer Survey as part of my training development team to collect feedback from learners on various trainings. I like that it allows us to create survey questionnaires tailored to our training needs, whether they are open-ended questions or rating-based. This flexibility helps us gather detailed feedback by collecting ratings on specific aspects of the training as well as descriptive feedback about the instructors. Because filling survey is optional, it would have been better if it could identify who all have not filled the surveys and send them reminder survey links after a set period of time. The UI of the Alchemer could be made more intuitive and user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The level of customization is what really sets Alchemer apart. I've been using it since 2018 for market research projects and the flexibility it gives you to build exactly what you need is impressive. The API access and webhook integrations allowed us to connect it with our own tools seamlessly. In fact, the platform was so flexible that we were able to build a voice transcription tool on top of our survey workflows — something we initially developed for internal use to process open-ended responses faster. The customization options with logic, piping, and the ability to integrate with third-party services made all of this possible without having to switch platforms. The learning curve for advanced features can be steep at first. Some of the documentation for API integrations could be more detailed — we had to figure out a few things through trial and error.
