## Adobe Presenter Reviews
  ### 1. Was a Great Tool for Presentations and Short Demos Until the Death of Flash

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura G. | Sr. Learning & Development Consultant, E-Learning Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2016

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

UPDATE: Please see the new first paragraph in the "What do you dislike" section for an important update to my initial review!

This tool is great for allowing anyone already familiar with PowerPoint to convey reasonably simple and short content asynchronously. It's quick and easy to learn how to use it and even allows for some basic types of quiz questions. You can publish it to your company's Adobe server (if you have one) or as a SCORM package to upload to a traditional LMS. It gives you the choice of recording audio within its own PowerPoint ribbon (not my method of choice) or to import and sync audio created outside of Presenter (which I prefer, because it's easier to edit and maintain.)

I also love that it comes with Adobe Presenter Video Express, which can be used within the Presenter ribbon or as a stand-alone application. It's a very easy way to create short system demos with narration, and allows for zooming and panning, as well as allowing you to intersperse, or even simultaneously show, webcam video.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

*****Below is what I wrote before December 31, 2020, when Flash was retired. Ever since that happened, this software has not behaved correctly and I've spent many hours on the phone with Adobe tech support trying to fix those issues, to no avail. Also, at the time (which was Q1 2021), Adobe seemed to have no immediate plans to fix this software...I think it's way down on their priorities list (if it's even on the list at all yet). Therefore, this review that I did MUST be viewed as a review of the product BEFORE January 1, 2021 and NOT a review of its current state. While I previously rated this product a 9 and was a pretty strong proponent of it, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this product any longer, until they fix it (which I hope they will, but am uncertain of that at this point.)******

I don't know if this qualifies as a "dislike," per se, but it's important not to try and use this as a full-fledged e-learning authoring tool, as the opportunities it affords for effective practice and feedback is minimal. It's a well-named product, since "Presenter" really is best used for "presentations," rather than bona fide training. There's no real "programming" ability (like being able to use custom actions and variables). I also wish that, when syncing animations to audio narration, if you make a mistake mid-way through a slide, you could re-do just from where you made the mistake on forward, rather than having to resync the whole slide. Also, better audio editing capabilities within the product would make it less necessary to use an external audio editing product.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

I should add that it also can publish to a mobile-friendly format, for those who need that feature.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is best used when what you're trying to create is the online version of someone getting up in front of a large group and making a presentation (rather than trying to do real "training"). As such, we've used it to announce new product features or give general overviews of new products (to be viewed as "pre-work" for an upcoming training session), do short overview demos of new systems (more of a "here's what it can do" than "here's how to do it," although it could be used for micro-learning, if the tasks are very short and simple), and to convey some basic on-boarding info.

  ### 2. Very easy to use and great to work with

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saurav C. | Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2016

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

What I like most about the adobe presenter is that it is very easy to work with. It is a Microsoft Powerpoint Plug in that captures on screen presentations and converts them into more interactive videos. After installing Adobe presenter, I can easily record or import narration for courses.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

There were no major issues that I have faced with adobe presenter but at times there were web object issues when the web objects were not properly shown while using firefox as a browser but this is relatively an easy fix.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

This is a wonderful software to have if you are into designing interactive e-learning courses

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the Adobe presenter to transform my powerpoint slides into interactive e learning courses.

  ### 3. Adobe Presenter a "user-friendly' eLearning tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aljhun Rey C. | E-learning Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

What I like the best with Adobe Presenter is the user-friendly experience, simplicity, very easy to use in creating your eLearning content and most of all with the LMS publish that can take your eLearning experience into the next level.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

What I dislike about the Adobe Presenter is if you have a course and it was built for Flash and you decided to convert or publish your course into HTML5 some of the text gets cut-off or fuzzy. Oh and one more thing there are animations that are not compatible with the HTML5.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

If you are looking for a user-friendly, easy to use and would like to excel your presentation into a leveled up learning experience. This tool "Adobe Presenter" is the best you are looking for.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the problems we encountered was we had this huge project conversion from Flash to HTML and we still need to use the Adobe Presenter. Imagine up to 300+ courses we need to convert and each of the courses will be translated into different languages, with the text being cut-off or fuzzy. Also, some animations are not compatible with HTML5. That would really ruin the quality of the eLearning courses. Good thing we had this issue escalated in Adobe Presenter's customer support and it managed to give us a version to be downloaded with the text issues being fixed. I was really happy about it because it saved us rendering a quality output. I was already contented and happy with it, even the incompatibility of some animations hasn't fixed. Nonetheless, I was satisfied with the customer service team catered to us.

  ### 4. Adobe Presenter Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Silvio B. | Software consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

I really believe that this is the best software for students to learn from presentations because it is for students to learn and it makes the learning process more interactive and much more enjoyable for the students. Due to the nature of my work (software consultant) I have received various universities opt for the use of this incredible presentation software. I even tried to carryout a survey and found out that this software is preferred because of its simplicity. Anyone can be bale to use it even when they are not pros.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

Even though Adobe Presenter is an incredibly good training and learning software for a couple of reasons, the small flaws render it suitable for improvement. Many of the trainers and teachers I interacted with told me that they are fed up with the unending messages instructing them to install Adobe flash player even when they have it on already. Some say that the questions are limited to enrich the learning process. If those were rectified, I believe that Adobe presenter would be the best always.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

I would never fail to recommend this software at any one point especially to moat of the institutions of learning. But also anywhere even in organisations, training new recruits, Adobe Presenter is highly recommended. Trust me you wont regret when you use it.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Believe me this software is as simple as you can imagine for teaching and learning online but also creating very enjoyable learning schedules. Adobe presenter has helped me create trust from my work as i relate with a variety of university Dons whenever i am helping them to learn how to use Adobe Presenter.

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

The ability to record and add quizzes in one place is nice. I love the interface when doing recordings of the presentation.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

The amount of time its takes to publish is a little extreme. Adobe should be able to publish projects at a quicker rate. Also, Presenter crashes often when publishing or trying to edit a project.

Also, no way to share projects with others on my team.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems are the inability to share our projects, more importantly the recorded versions with other users.

  ### 12. quick and simple way from PowerPoint to E-Learning modules

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ralf B. | Geschäftsführer, Carrot Business Solutions, GbR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Adobe Presenter?**

I really appreciate the possibility to create scorm-compatible courses just from a PowerPoint-file.
- You can integrate additional audio files on each slide
- Adobe Presenter converts the triggers from PowerPoint
- Easy localization in various languages

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

The default templates of quiz slides look very old-fashioned. You will definitly have to customize them.
You can not create E-Learning modules from scratch. Everything starts with a PowerPoint file.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

If you expect an intuitive converter from PPTX to swf or html5 then Adobe Presenter is a good choice. In case you would like to create elaborated E-Learning modules you should think about Captivate or Storyline. But as long as you do not have the time to create modules from scratch and you just get the PPTX material from team external experts Adobe Presenter is very helpful.
Know the restrictions of Presenter and don't plan the modules not too complicated.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an E-Learning consultant I often face this problem in a lot of companies. Small E-Learning teams should create tons of learning modules without being the SME. The SMEs send the PowerPoint files to these teams and they need software which transforms the PPTX-file into a scorm-compatible Flash or HTML5 format. Adobe Presenter converts the PPTX quickly and allows the producer to create less elaborated e-learning modules very quickly.

  ### 13. Good for webinars

I liked the chat feature in the corner so attendees of a webinar can ask questions during the presentation.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Presenter?**

Nothing - it seemed pretty easy to use and there were no technical issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Presenter:**

It was set up by someone else running a webinar, but as an attendee of the session, I very much enjoyed the format. It was simple and easy to use - a great thing for first time users.

**What problems is Adobe Presenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I attended a webinar using this product. It allowed me to meet other teachers and instructional technology educators from different parts of the country - it's all about networking and resources.
