**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis R. | E-commerce Growth Consultant / Client Hero, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Adobe uses an architecture that is essentially unlimited in customization for any B2B or Enterprise level retailer. It also stores field data in a modular way which can be far superior for large complex catalogs where you need a lot of control over filtering and search result clarity.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Magento is temperamental with constant patches and updates. It's prohibitively expensive to develop and very difficult to keep healthy. Any change to the code can and will have a cascading effect that creates a huge liability for even simple customizations.

In the words of a wise Ukranian Magento developer on Stack Exchange, "Magento: making the impossible possible, and the easy impossible". Magento is a catch 22 for SMB's struggling to navigate it, you can't customize it the way you want due to the complexity of the code...which effectively negates the reason you're using this complex eCommerce system.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use Magento as a market advantage with customzied shopping experiences that outperformed the Volusion's and Miva's of the world, Not anymore.
I was a Magento fanboy for a decade when it was top of it's class. In recent years Magento has turned into a solution only Enterprise level 20M+ merchants can use/afford with any efficacy and they will still have nightmares.
I have abandoned Magento consulting these days except for Magento rescue and migration, it's too wild and expensive where even the best rockstar developers in the industry have issues with it.

  ### 46. "Critical Review- Adobe Commerce Cloud"

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sakshi M. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

The ability to increase capabilities and customize experiences is nearly infinite because of the open-source code.

To fix problems and give assistance, there is a large community of developers and extensions.

A fantastic set of out-of-the-box capabilities that lay the groundwork for a world-class online experience.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It's tough to fine-tune the platform, and it might be sluggish. Even with top-of-the-line hardware, platform performance might be a problem. Even when caching is used, lousy code can result in poor performance and user experiences.

The platform's total cost of ownership may be relatively costly since it requires a large number of technical skill to adapt, build, debug, and maintain it. Initial
development expenses are simply a portion of the total cost of a Magento store. This can be addressed for mid-sized enterprises with significant web income, but for smaller organisations, the overall cost of ownership may be prohibitive.

The platform's security can be a problem. Hackers frequently attack Magento, and most of the security has been compromised.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are utilizing this platform to help grow our business, and it's been working very well so far. It is easy to teach other members of my company's personnel, which is fantastic.

Easily design a website with the use of a Magento tool. No need to learn deep coding skills to use Magento software. It has predefined features to work fast and securely. In Magento we can integrate Google sitemap, meta tags and Google analytic tool code in our website to track performance and user interaction. It is a good solution for our business website with user-friendly URLs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

No issue was faced. Magento is easy to build websites and blog pages. We also created a landing page for our Google AdWord marketing channel.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Websites are a basic need of every business. When we were starting our business at that time we created our website in wordpress. Because at that time we didn't know much about it. As we grow up and lots of changes in software, we move on to Magento and till now we are using the same platform for our business. Magento is powerful software for website development. We can easily design pages according to the theme section and add content images on a page. We can easily update social media tags and connect with websites easily.

  ### 49. Best Alternative Tool For Website Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashima K. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Magento is a successful web development tool for website creation. We can create a large website for business. It is a one time investment in business because if we go with wordpress and core php websites then in the future we need to think about changing the website platform. Due to no pages and services, websites take extra time to load. Currently, customers can't wait for this. So Magento is the best and most secure web development tool for our eCommerce business. We can update products images, and content and create product categories to manage several products easily.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

It is very easy to integrate with Google Analytics and search console to check website traffic and backlinking. We can install a separate plugin to optimize website meta tags as well.

**What problems is Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using the Magento website development tool for our business for a long time. Magento Web development tool is very secure for businesses to create websites and blogs. It is easy to develop websites online and we can assign multiple users to handle multiple tasks on the website. Magento is very fast and user friendly for business. We develop our eCommerce business portal and now we can easily update our products pages, content and much more. It is too secure and no one can easily crack the code of a website.

  ### 50. Security and customization is there

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Security patches and updates are provided. For e-commerce it's the best platform to survive in the digital world. Lot of extension is there. Themes are there. I liked it

**What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?**

Major downside is cost wise. If we need security means we have to spend cost. Rare for Magento Developers to find in south side. We need updates on extension pucahsed in version 2.2.5 also.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce):**

Please use Magento for large scale business and it's security is top notch. For B2B or B2C please use Magento.
