When I work with old scanned documents, Acrobat always finds text that other free tools don't see at all. This saves me a lot of time typing. Another big help is being able to export. It's amazing that you can send a 50-page PDF report straight to an Excel spreadsheet that is already set up without losing the layout of the tables and I work with a lot of data that isn't organized every day. Sadly, a lot of that information still comes in PDF form. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro a lot to connect my data processing pipelines to documents that don't change. I use Acrobat for everything from getting tables from industry research whitepapers to getting old financial data from scanned annual reports to fixing client datasets that their old systems exported badly. I use it to run advanced OCR on image based PDFs, combine several reports into one document for project handoffs, and most importantly, export locked data into Excel or CSV formats so that I can easily import it into Python with Pandas for more analysis and modeling. **What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?** Adobe Acrobat is a great program, but it does have some bugs that can be annoying. First and foremost it uses a lot of system resources. When I try to run OCR or batch process a big PDF with a lot of images and hundreds of pages it uses a lot of RAM and sometimes makes the app freeze or lag that slows down my work. The way the subscription prices work is also a big problem. This seems like a lot of money for a mid-sized business especially since I only need some of the document editing tools and not the whole suite. They show you how to work with PDFs in Google Drive or Office files. The tab even covers e-signing and creating a web form. The "Tools" tab provides the avenues in which you can use Acrobat that was covered in the "Discover" tab. "Tools" allows you to combine files, edit text & images in a PDF, request e-signatures and organize pages. **What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?** There have been instances where converting a JPG to a PDF have either produced a blurry image or crunched the data that makes it hard to read.
