I was hopeful this was going to be a useful tool for managing chat requests on website. Never was able to use it and no support provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I bought a lifetime deal on AppSumo in 2019 - five licenses. In January 2025, I tried to access my account and get everything set up and was unable to access my account or reach the login URL. I reached out the email address on the ActiveChat website footer (I have a screenshot - not sure if I can post email here) and received an auto-response that message failed to send because the account "does not exist." I then reached out to AppSumo support and received a message back that they would assist, including the line, "VIP AppSumo Plus member, we are moving your request to the front of the line!" I was soon going back and forth with AppSumo over January and February 2025, where AppSumo support said they would also reach out to ActiveChat directly and they would help me get this resolved. Several ActiveChat email addresses were also added to the AppSumo support chain. In February 2025 all communication stopped. I never once received a response from ActiveChat and AppSumo stopped responding to me in February, even though I have reached out a couple more times for a status update -- most recently 14 April 2025. I have now cancelled my AppSumo Plus plan and would not use ActiveChat product at all after this experience, as I do not trust it at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activechat let's you build bots using a visual interface and it can even deal with complex data types with their http block. It's much faster to make and deploy a bot with for any purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can be a little clunky and have some bugs at time. Some features such as WhatsApp intregration and twilio aren't fully mature yet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This chatbot was very promising from the start when they launched :

- non-active development for almost a year until recently mid-2020

- Limited Facebook integration, almost dropped all-new features, focusing now on B2B customer support

- No Whatsapp, decreasing Facebook focus

At this stage, it's hard to assign any positives to the platform but perhaps that's because it had so much promise a year ago when I made the investment in it. The easy NLP integration would be the biggest positive but that's offset by a lackluster interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ultimately, the lies. In the past year they've missed every feature release deadline they have set; some by 10+ months. They have once again paused feature releases and moved back long overdue ones to the might not be developed category. This is unacceptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, I like this system because it is very complete and has an easy-to-use interface, which in turn allows you to make changes and create specialized bots to serve our websites. These bots are very flexible since they can be used to be able to perfectly handle systems such as woocommerce among others.

At the same time I like it because it allows us to serve customers in the best way as if it were a real person without the client noticing it very much. Also this system can be integrated with other applications in order to create a unique tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This system is incredible, but needs to be made certain improvements, such as giving greater compatibility with other browsers that is not just Google Chrome. Usually this system is very good and I do not have negative opinions about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before activechat i try several chatbots like tars, chatfuel, mobilemonkey, botletter, continualy mostly they offert 1 solution...facebook mensegger

So what i really like about activechat is they integrate all bots in one place, So you can have messenger, widget on your site, SMS and others bot channels. So, this save time and is more easy to setup.

Make a bot is kind easy to make complex bot, and im not a programmer

They also offert really nice templates and examples but is more easy to get started and learn.

What i dont like about activechat is:

- They lack on growhack tools.

- The support is slow

- Still not very mature product, only 3-4 channels (im waiting WhatsApp, instagram)

- Ui is uggly (im sorry but is true)

- Have some bugs

- Cannot take control over chat

- No zapier

- No rss/feed integration (to automatic send news)

The flexibility. Using the flow/sequence diagram, is really easy for both developers and designers to create sequence (skills) and collect the data via their blocks. Readymade templates (leads magnet, ecommerce, etc) for anyone to first kick-start their bot and easily make changes accordingly. Best, there's Dialogflow integration for NLP. The UX isn't that great and can be quite confusing but from their updates, they will be revamping the interface for better user experience. Another flaw may be the server lag which i believe they're also looking at and scaling up their infrastructure. Overall as with many startups, is understandable there'll be bugs and flaws but this development team is actively improving with user's feedback. Kudos! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main feature I like besides a very good visual bot architect are the amount of integrations. NLP as well as messaging platforms. Facebook, Intercom are just one of them, and with expected release of Amazon Alexa and Google Home the integrations are becoming really rich. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
