I bought a lifetime deal on AppSumo in 2019 - five licenses. In January 2025, I tried to access my account and get everything set up and was unable to access my account or reach the login URL. I reached out the email address on the ActiveChat website footer (I have a screenshot - not sure if I can post email here) and received an auto-response that message failed to send because the account "does not exist." I then reached out to AppSumo support and received a message back that they would assist, including the line, "VIP AppSumo Plus member, we are moving your request to the front of the line!" I was soon going back and forth with AppSumo over January and February 2025, where AppSumo support said they would also reach out to ActiveChat directly and they would help me get this resolved. Several ActiveChat email addresses were also added to the AppSumo support chain. In February 2025 all communication stopped. I never once received a response from ActiveChat and AppSumo stopped responding to me in February, even though I have reached out a couple more times for a status update -- most recently 14 April 2025. I have now cancelled my AppSumo Plus plan and would not use ActiveChat product at all after this experience, as I do not trust it at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
