**What do you like best about Act!?**

I have used it since 1999 and only one I have experience with over the decades.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

1) This Survey was hard to get to. 
2) That Act now holds me hostage to my history, customers and prospects because I have to pay a "ransom"/subscription of over $600.00 / year. I am really pissed off about this. I used to pay for this as a stand alone and did not risk loss of my data of over 25 years. 
3) I have never been able to setup my outlook calendar on this program.

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I use. I do not use all of the features of Act that I could.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

I am liking using the cloud version.  The Marketing Automation works much better in the cloud then the desk top.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

It is hard to use.  I have spent hours with tech support on the phone trying to get our ACT! updated to the newest version.  I am still not done.  I'm not sure why you have to have a remote data base so that the desk top version speaks to the cloud.

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I "think" it is helping us with our marketing emails better reaching our customer base.  It is much faster than doing it through Outlook.  However, the dashboard reports don't make sense to me as I know I am sending out more than it is showing.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

We just started with Act in February 2025 and has been using for 1 month. It's amazing how everything works. Easy to set up, good communication with a customer service. Very user-friendly interface comparing to our previous software. I found it's easy and fun to work on layouts.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

When we transferred all date to ACT we couldn't transfer notes from previous CRM from Excel file to ACT CRM .

We have employees who are not computer-savvy, so it was important for us to choose software that is easy to use and user-friendly.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

Been an ACT customer since 2002 and love this application and the customer support.  I always get right to a person.  It's easy to use and has been "bug free."  I especially love the "ID Status" field.  It allows me to code all of my contacts for easy retrieval.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

I don't dislike anything. I've used since 2002.  Each update is better than the last with new features.

Has completely organized my more than 2500 contacts for easy access.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

I can look up people without knowing their names. For example, if I recall the person lives in Montana and that he or she is a laywer, I can look up that category and presto I can easily recognize the name from a short list of attorneys in Montana. ACT is easy to use and the support is good. I am a one person company and have over 8,000 names in my database which I have built over the past 27 years. Thus, it appears that I have entered slightly less than one person a day on average into my database for the past 27 years. ACT has been a lifesaver and has greatly increased the my efficiency which is what it is all about in my business. Because of my database, clients and even competitors call me to help them find certain types of people in various parts of the country. Thus, in my case ACT has become a marketing tool beyond my direct use of the software. People call me and say that they heard that "If Jeff can't help you, he will help you find the right person."  I frequently get such calls. Becuase I tell my cleints and competitors about my ACT database, the word has spread and prospective clients call me out of the blue for help. I almost always can help them directly or from my ACT database. I am delighted. I call my ACT, my secret weapon.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

President and Board of Directors at ACT: I am concerned that when I retire that I wouldn't have access to my database of over 8,000 names. I made my concern known to ACT and because the regular support people didn't know how to address my concern, the President of ACT called me with a suitable solution. I am very happy. Imagine, the President of ACT called me! Couldn't ask for more.

ACT is one of the foundational legs of my business. Without ACT, I would not be nearly as effective and profitable.

I can keep a database of my clients and can see all contact made as well as see their annual spending. I can svgecuke follow up reminders and can email all clients at one time saving hours of time.

Ever since they went to a mandatory annual renewal I have had continued problems with mail merge and it seems no one I talk to understands how to fix the issue.

Four things:
1. Holds all of my contact history
2. Allows for detailed notes
3. Content can be exported for analysis
4. It's a PC client app so it works when I don't have internet (for example, when in Zambia, on a plane w/o internet, etc.)

I like ACT; it works fine; nothing I dislike

Act! contact management facilitates my work by helping me maintain simple access to organized customer data. Flexible fields and tags in Act! help me establish proper contact categories which improve my organization. The email marketing tool transforms business outreach by enabling simultaneous personalized communication with multiple clients. My work processes function more efficiently because of these important system features.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

It does not have dedicated mobile applications for on-the-go contact management. The reporting tool needs improvement because it lacks extensive customization abilities and operational flexibility.

Better contact organization together with improved client communication are key features of Act!. I create deep client connections through this system while also using its information management platform to deliver personalized email communications effectively. I can provide better lead care leading to quicker deals alongside stronger customer loyalty delivering success to our business.

It mostly has unlimited fields and data capacity!  

You can search with virtually little information and retrieve what you need.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

1.  I spent almost $15,000 on Act!  And now, I need several reports from technical support; which I requested on 6-7-occasions, with NO SUCCESS!
2.  You never get the same person on your case twice, so you have to repeat over-and-over the probem!  Very frustrating!

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACT! Marketing Automation is cheaper than most other options.  But, it is antiquated and thus very combersome!  

ACT! is very beneficial at keeping all information in one place, but unless you personally load the information, it does not incorporate (self-populate) the information in the database.

It's so amazing to be able to do completely complex searches without excel or having to download tons of add-ons

It's definitely a dinosaur of a program, it's a huge program and could use some minimizing of unnecessary features.

Keeping files organized. I work in the deathcare business and I don't have to worry about "products" being listed on our CRM, instead of "decedent".

Not really streamlined for the cloud; it has to be installed on local on premise server.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

ACT! does an excellent job of maintaining all my contacts and companies and documentation. Excellent tech support....and I mean really, really patient, knowledgeable, pleasant, and personable tech support people. Have been using for over 4 years now and am pleased with price and depth of support.

I use it every day!

There are so many features that I am still learning about all of them.

For me, as a basic user it is great, and pretty damned easy!

Written support is fairly easy to understand, and implement.

I wish it would directly intergrate with my email server instead of going through outlook but everyone is using outlook.

it is helping me organize my contacts, and my out reach to them. I have over 7700 contacts and companies in my system.

They are continually growing and adding new features, like adding AI in Marketing Automation. We are a small company and I have set up 5 new users easily in ACT. Also I like using AMA. I use ACT and AMA daily

lacks some integrations to other apps. For excample we can't find an easy integration with Quickbooks

I appreciate the customizable interface that allows me to incorporate custom fields and arrange them according to my preferences. Additionally, I am quite fond of the marketing automation tool, which I have yet to utilize to its maximum capacity.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

Over the past few years, I have identified several minor suggestions for improvement. Although some of these have been acknowledged and acted upon, others remain unaddressed. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to engage directly with a technical expert who is willing to listen and comprehend how my recommendations could enhance the experience for all customers.

Many features that were available in previous versions are now gone, like, the timer, and the Act! Word Processor. Also, my employer will not allow me to integrate microsoft Word due to security reasons.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

After moving from app based Act! over to the cloud version, I had booked in a web call with Connor. Throughout the whole experience Connor couldn't have been more helpful. He took his time in explaining how each feature worked and explained how to get the most out of our plan. Connor also made sure I was aware of the online space with loads of helpful videos and infermation to reffer back to, as well as sending a follow up email with information on how to book another call if needed. After speakinf with Connor Act! couldn't be easier for us as a company to use.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

Nothing I dislike. The product does exacly what we need it to as a business and is something we will continue to use daily.

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Act! to log any contact with our customers, as well as making new logs when sending out information to our customers so we can go back and check what was sent and when.

My favorite part about ACT! Is that I can put detailed notes about client accounts and can even attach files to these notes.

We have a team of 5 sales reps who all need to connect with our customers daily. It integrates easily with Quotewerks whiich we use to create quotes and orders for our customers. It is easy for each of our sales people can check the history of customer communications saving time and allowing us operate much moreefficiently.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

The Act Marketing Automation is a little bit clunky to use. It woudl be useful if Act provided a larger bank of template emails to use in marketing campaigns and ensures these are full tested on all email clients - eg Gmail, Outlook, mobile and desktop. When we tested some templates they don't display well across all.

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a single place to see all communications with customers regardless of which one of our sales people has been in touch.  Act saves us time. We also have a sales person workign remoteley so havng the option of using Act for Web allows us all to stay connected.

I experienced  some difficulties with Microsoft One Drive.  (Who hasn't?)   I sought support from Act!   Nicolas in the UK was extremely helpful and resolved my problem immediately after connecting remotely with my computer.    The man is a genius!

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

The cost of upgrades for users who use only the most simple, basic features of Act!   I began using the DOS version of Act! in 1990 when the product was basic.   Act! should establish more modest prices for basic users like me.    Please call me for product development advice;  I am not expensive.

It serves as my contact manager....same as in 1990.    I do not need all of the sophisticated features.

I can store all of the needed information about clients in one spot.  I can customize it to have the information I want where I want it.  I can access the cloud version anywhere at any time.

I have not found anything that is not helpful or needs to be improved at this time.  Support is always helpful and answers my questions.  One thing that I do not like is that I have to add to my subscription to have access to some of the features.

Everything is in one place.  Contact info, email & text communications. calendar/appointments.  the program keeps me on schedule with all  the information I need.  If I need fields that are not in the program, I can add them, do surveys, automate grouping, etc.  After using ACT! for more than 30 years, I can easily say, "I wouldn't want to work without this program."

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

Like most software programs, there is a ramp-up period where you have to learn the program.  Once that has been accomplished and the customizing skills have been established, it's easy to plan how you want to see or survey your data.

**What problems is Act! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping details about clients/friends helps me stay on top of appointments and sending marketing info out to the appropriate potential client.  I just implemented Nextiva, a phone service that integrates with ACT.  I make calls through Nextiva from ACT.  Very cool.  A call comes in and the contact's info card pops-up on my PC.  I can dismiss or create a history of the call.  If the caller leaves me a voicemail, Nextiva translates the call to text.  I can then save a copy of the information in the contact's history.

**What do you like best about Act!?**

Act! is so helpful in keeping me organized and managing my properties and clients. I use it every day! Every time I come in contact with a client or customer, it's easy to make a  note of the contact info; and every email that I send attaches to the contact's record, providing History throughout the years. We've been using Act! for over 20 years, and it's gotten very comprehensive for our needs and encourages follow up with the clients. The program provides seamless interaction between properties and contacts, and it's easy to synchronize with your cell phone as well. Customer Support is available with the Knowledgebase, or by phone if needed. At this point, we can't live without it! Well done, Act!

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

The one thing that is a drawback is the price. When we were able to purchase the stand alone version, it was worth the price, but we are not crazy about the new subscription version, where we need to pay every year.

Act! helps us solve marketing issues by keeping contact in house. We don't need to spend more to use other services to market to our clients.

Using Act is easy and their support is pretty amazing and helpful. They were able to help me recover old Act database of an old version which helped us a lot.
Their video tutorials are very nice and guide your through the app to understand everything even if you are not familiar with CRM systems.

It's a bit pricy when you compare it to some other competitors and you have to pay for each device has the system so you can work in parallel with your colleagues.

ACT! has been a part of my world before the advent of Windows.  It has been and remains the hub for managing the many relationships under my watch.  I feel confident that clients, prospective clients, vendors, and others are engaged proactively in a way that will move our relationships forward.   Today's solution has come a long way since the early days, but it is one of the few that have earned my trust and my investment.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

I wish it were a little easier to maintain a secondary copy of my data in a usable format separate from the cloud enablement I utilize today.  Other than this one thing, it has gotten better, and better ... and better!

It is my relationship hub for many different kinds of interfaces with different people, and sometimes for the companies they represent.  It reduces the number of technology-enabled tools I need to operate my practice effectively.

Act can be customized with your own labels and categories.  You can make it unique to your business and keep track of what you think is important.  I'm an insurance broker and I can input all the vital policy information in with each customer.

**What do you dislike about Act!?**

I have a MAC so there is no software to download making sending out letters directly from act not possible.  They really need to come out with software that is Mac friendly!  I use the online version only and it works great but it could be better.

I'm able to keep track of all my active clients when their birthdays are so I can mail them a card and one glance and I know what carrier they have, what type a policy they are enrolled in and whether or not I've been paid commissions for their policy yet.
