It let you add case colaborators so you as admin are able to let your team provide accurate feedback inmediatly they received a comment or a notification from AS SUPPORT TEAM. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** Too many restrictions processing masive records, it reaches Salesforce CPU limits constantly, so we need to keep waiting until next hour/day to continue our duties, when this happens almost the last 3 days of the month it really stops our accounting operations. Support sometimes take too long to provide a specific answer, I guess releases should always include some side to side job to make sure usres take advantage of all of new features It should be available with aouth american currencies, then we wont need to use an specific product to manage all of our latinamerican requests and customers. You guys should work with the bigger banks in industry to improve payment methos, we all know credit card rules, but there are still some people that do not want to use that, maybe, providing options to go an pay at a bank's branch, or using a debit card or online payment with no comissions at all. **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** You should have a pretty detailed map of your process so you can take advantage on all of AS feaures from the beginning and it will make you save some time and effort later on, due to change on process or including additional information you didnt include at the beginning. Read and practice all of the AS releases so you can really learn how to use AS properly in the correct way from the beginning **What problems is Accounting Seed solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems: Financial Reports, it helped us getting all of the financial information on the same report, including budged, real expenses Automatic payment and invoicing emails and or notifications, since it is build on salesforce, it let you take advantage on all of salesforce's automation feautres susch as workflows, process builder, flows, massive emails, massive record upload Benefits: All of our financial info on same place, we can integrate and run real profit and loss reports, since all of our financial informations is here, on the same click. We are able to get a transaction assigned properly to the correct accounting period since you are able to open/close them anytime you need to, that way late late transactions wont affect incorrect month numbers COnciliations are top, we can have real budget, expenses and incomes information consolidated. ### 6. If you are already comfortable with Salesforce, the Accounting Seed platform will be extremely user-friendly from the get-go. I appreciate the layout of the homepage and the organization of the different accounting objects. There are many user-friendly ways to get to where you need to go within the platform, and the views and formats are extremely customizable, which is quite positive. I have been more excited about their updated bank connect functionality, and I feel that their development team has the right ideas for increasing usability and efficiency going forward. Additionally, their data import tools are quite user-friendly, making it easy for a non-admin user like myself to import data when I need to. Some of the features that I enjoy include the ability to easily clone objects such as billings and payables, which is a huge benefit for our group. The ability to add line items one-by-one or by mass addition is also a great benefit for day-to-day efficiency. The bank reconciliation tool is also easy to use and functions well at this point, although I do believe the newest update will bring changes to that tool shortly. On a day-to-day functionality level, this software performs well. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** The implementation of this software and changing from Quickbooks to Accounting Seed has been nothing short of a nightmare for our company. Our transition is currently stalled at this point as we have been working in parallel for more than a year and are still uncomfortable with transitioning completely. However, our in-house systems' functionality is incredibly complicated, which is one of the main reasons the transition has been such a headache. With the suggestion of Salesforce and Accounting Seed personnel, we hired a third-party consulting company to help with the change, which was essentially fruitless and now classified as sunk-cost without any real gain or ROI. Additional support from both Salesforce and Accounting Seed would be costly, and we are not confident in the possibility of a positive return after our experience. A small qualm I have with Accounting Seed is the terminology used for their invoices. They are called billings in the software, which confuses customers. Why change the terminology from invoices when that is the most widely recognized terminology? It doesn't make sense to me! The financial reports out of the box are disappointing. The drill-down experience within any of the financial reports is significantly worse than what Quickbooks currently offers. Correcting mistakes is tedious as you have to post and un-post records, which has added more steps to a day-to-day process. Despite the customization available due to the integration with Salesforce, there are still many areas that are locked down and are quite difficult to customize to our company's needs. Overall I feel that our current software, Quickbooks, has had a lot more time to fine-tune its offerings and is more intuitively designed, especially with the financial reports out of the box. Accounting Seed has potential, especially for a small company with very few transactions. For a large company with thousands of transactions, the headache of the transition alone is simply not worth the time or money spent at this point in time. **What problems is Accounting Seed solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been trying to solve the problem of recognizing our customer base and creating more robust reports around sales trends at the customer level. While I believe that this is a possibility within the platform, especially with its integration within Salesforce, we would need an incredibly advanced Salesforce admin with experience in Accounting Seed to fully realize our reporting goals. We were also hoping to implement a more automated way of handling deferred revenue on a line-item level. However, we have found that it is impossible to do so in the minute level of detail we would require. One less logon, built in Salesforce. You can automate almost anything. Things that I thought would be hard, were not (e.g. payroll upload). Team there is available for training- our Accounting Seed partners Chris Johannes and Elle Carter continue to be incredibly helpful, friendly, and experts in the system. We did a comprehensive integration with a propriety app to decrease inventory levels as assets were produced- and ambitious goal and it worked! Our CEO presented some of our manufacturing technology, including our integration with Accounting Seed, at Dreamforce last year. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** The system has the ability to do a high amount of customization- that is a huge plus, but can also be daunting when you start. **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** Unfortunately, due to COVID, the Accounting Seed conference got canceled this year. It's a great fit for companies who do B2B sales and handle all of their data through Salesforce. This also allows me to add my own fields to their objects, relate them to my custom objects, and automate as much of the process as possible. The potential for doing complex accounting and tying it directly to our Sales, Contracting Invoicing and Billing processes is extremely high - it just requires your admin to be able to do it. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** A lot of their custom pages and lightning just don't show all the information my users want to see - and I can't just add fields to display on these interfaces. The user has to click through to the record to see more info, which can make reconciliation a chore. AccountingSeed's object hierarchy is also extremely complex and took a lot of getting used to - and I'm not even utilizing everything we have available. I came in to the project for implementing AccountingSeed about 6 months in - and at least 4 months after it was expected to be delivered. A lot of the shortcomings were due to the previous admins not having any real experience, too large of a reliance on consultants that don't really care, and attempting to tie the system in to homegrown purchase systems that really need to be replaced. That said, it seems like the AS team hasn't been too concerned with customer success or utilization here - I expect more out of an enterprise software company. **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** Make sure you're following standardized Accounting Practices before attempting to implement this tool. Get a very competent Salesforce administrator or two - not a sales person who has been promoted internally to admin, or a consulting firm. It easily connects with the key object we work within Salesforce and has a pretty seamless flow to process invoices. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** It was challenging to move to a new system at first, but we're grateful we put the investment in to ensure we could use the product as intended. We had to reconfigure our GL code structure, slightly, to fit in with the GL structure of Accounting Seed. Also having the capabilities to have dual ledgers for our main company and sister company in the same place. For those times when you enter an invoice in the wrong company instead of having to go in a delete and reenter you can simply change the ledger and poof your done. **What do you dislike about Accounting Seed?** Some of the reporting is not as complete as our old program. For instance we used to run a report on each GL Account and that report would have the opening balance for the period. Our Accountant preferred this to having to look up the closing balance of the previous period. To get a report with an opening balance it has to be joined and there is way too much data to sift through. **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** If you're looking for a Salesforce Native, easy to use, highly configureable Accounting program, this is it. **What problems is Accounting Seed solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are no longer doing a lot of double entry. We used to have to create our invoices in the accounting system and then enter them in Salesforce to track which projects were billed. Now it is all done automatically. Same goes for Payables against POs. This has made our reconciliation process so much more accurate and easy.I can't stress enough how this makes our business so much more efficient. ### 49. The application of cash disbursements is non reversible (unlike apply of cash receipts). Limitations on kits are too restrictive (max 5 children + only 1 level supported). No A to Z serial-number-based traceability in inventory. No comprehensive view on cash projection compiling different information sources (banks + Billings + payables + future Billings on Sales Orders etc.) **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** Good solution that can adapt to many industries, easy to setup & customize, and very reactive & helpful support from the editor. **What problems is Accounting Seed solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Accounting Seed as our accounting, finance, Order management, procurement, staging and logistics engine. Inability to pay via ACH through the system - you must contract with an outside party and add on that functionality. 2. You can't change the print options for financial statements, it must be landscape. You must export data to Excel, which loses all formatting, and do a bunch of work to get it to look right. 3. Standard reports are what they are, and you can't start with one and make changes to get a custom report. Custom reports are started "from scratch". Would be great to be able to just tweak a standard report and "Save as". **Recommendations to others considering Accounting Seed:** Check that even the basic things you need will work.
