What I like most is not needing two separate systems anymore, everything's just in Salesforce already. Reporting used to be a pain, now I can just pull numbers straight out without copying stuff between tools. Sales and finance actually see the same data now too, which fixed a bunch of confusion we used to deal with. It just feels built in, not like some extra app we added later. Some of the setup stuff isn't super obvious if you're not already deep into Salesforce. Support can be slow sometimes when you hit a weird issue. Being cloud-based, the Bank Direct Connect is super reliable and easy to use, making reconciliations a breeze. The platform is very intuitive, and each business can automate accounting processes to fit their individual needs. We have automated a commission payout process, saving countless hours of labor. Custom automations using Salesforce low-code Flows mean the database is designed to run my business as efficiently as I can imagine, without being limited by the platform. What do you dislike about Accounting Seed? Setting up and customizing things for the first time takes time, especially for people who don't use Salesforce. The payables and receivables screens have too many fields, which makes it hard to scroll and tab. When users drill down into a journal entry, they usually only see one side of the deal. New users who don't have any experience with Salesforce often have trouble with the language and navigation because it's built into Salesforce. To make changes to workflows, dashboards, or reports, you usually need to be a Salesforce admin, which smaller teams may not have. Although Accounting Seed is an advanced system that has a great set-up process, it is still not plug and play, because it takes a lot of configuring, including Salesforce packages and permissions, Chart of Accounts, and integration.
