"Ability Map for Coaching"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

I've been using Ability Map for my coaching clients when dealing with team and organizational issues. Unlike other "assessment tools", Ability Map is like the "verb" description of an individual's real capabilites. Others will describe personality traits and such, and while that can be helpful, rarely do these assessments effectively translate into how capable an individual actually is. I also use the tool to help coach individuals who are in leadership roles and may be aren't the most ideal fit. We leverage the stronger capabilities of the individual to offset and support their weaker ones. I like to describe the tool as helping my clients ensure all the right people are sitting in the right seats of the bus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

I wish the "instant results" when completing the imprint would provide more details around the resulting top 8 capabililies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AbilityMap has saved us hundreds of hours finding the right candidates"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

It immediately identifies candidates who are a natural fit for our agency. We interview all candidates who score over a 70 "AMCO" score within AbilityMap, and to be honest, almost everyone we speak with is an exceptional candidate.

Before AbilityMap, so many applicants who met the technical requirements weren't the right cultural fit for our agency, but those days are long gone. From job listing to signed contract takes us less than two weeks and ensures that our agency leaders aren't wasting time on poor-quality interviews.

Cannot recommend this platform enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

To really benefit from this platform, you'll want to read the extensive documentation they've put together. As with all advanced software, the more you understand about its nuances, the more you'll get out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game-Changer for Finding the Right People"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

What I really like about AbilityMap is how much it sharpened our recruitment process. Before we started using it, hiring the right sales talent felt like a mix of gut feel and expensive advice from organisational psychologists. AbilityMap gave us a much more practical, data-driven way to assess candidates early on, and it saved us a lot of time and energy we used to waste on applicants who weren’t the right fit.

I especially appreciated how easy the platform was to use. The interface is clear and user-friendly, so the team could get on board without too much fuss. Plus, being able to benchmark candidates against specific profiles (like whether someone has a growth mindset or can thrive working remotely) really helped us find people who matched our culture and the expectations of the role.

The team are always there to assist and develop my use of the tool, it's felt like a partnership from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

There’s definitely a learning curve at the start, and you need to invest in that upfront if you want the assessments to be meaningful. Also, if your role profiles aren’t spot on, the results can be less reliable, so you do have to be thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent assessment technology driving high performance"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

We use AbilityMap for our own internal hiring and have done for many years. Using AbilityMap to determine the characteristics that drive high performance in our business and then assess potential candidates against those competencies has resulted in massive reduction in staff turnover and greatly improved performance across the board.

Our clients who use AbilityMap have experienced the same results.

AbilityMap is more than just an assessment - it also addresses the all important "Job Fit" for each individual business' unique environment and the unique combination of competencies that drive high performance.

Support is fast, friendly & helpful. The software is easy to use and easy to implement.

Highly recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

No major dislikes. like all platforms, ongoing UI development will make the platform even more useful for us and our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the greatest hiring hacks in business"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

I use Ability Map to de-risk hiring across my business. It empowers middle management to run a robust and bias-free process and massively de-risks their hiring decisions.

I was previously having to get involved with every hire because my team made poor hiring decisions and essentially lacked a robust process and mechanism for defining what they needed, and then identifying that in potential candidates.

AbilityMap ensures we are clear on the requirements for a new role - not just what experience we think we need, but actually what capabilities will make this new person successful in the role. Candidates are scored against those capabilities and then I allow the team to make a cultural assessment. We have reduced making poor hires by 80%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

It's not just a SaaS tool, you need to take the time to understand the entire process. There are many use cases where the software can add immense value, so you need to take the time to understand what your objectives are. Because of this, it might require a leader to drive the implementation across the business and force team members to get up the curve in order to extract the value. "From Average to Excellent Recruitment"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

At Graduated, we believe that hiring shouldn’t be about guesswork, it should be about precision, potential, and purpose. That’s why we’ve partnered with AbilityMap, one of Australia’s leading cognitive and values-based assessment platforms.

In a landscape flooded with resumes, job boards, and surface-level screening tools, AbilityMap offers what most hiring platforms miss: true insight into what drives high performance and alignment beyond just experience or credentials. Their assessments are built on science-backed data and critical human performance indicators, helping us predict candidate success based on cognitive ability, values alignment, adaptability, and problem-solving capacity — not just a CV.

At Graduated, we use AbilityMap to:

1. Hire with Purpose – Every role starts with a deep understanding of the performance profile required for success.

2. Bring Clarity to Hiring Decisions – Their data removes the noise, helping us and our clients make confident, evidence-based decisions.

3. Aim for Excellence, Every Time – We’re not about average hires. We’re here to connect businesses with their top 10% of future talent, the ones who will grow with you, thrive in your environment, and stay for the long haul.

Why it matters:

In a world where recruitment is moving fast, the cost of a bad hire is high, and Gen Z talent expects values alignment and fairness, AbilityMap helps us deliver on our promise of smarter, values-led hiring — for both graduates and employers.

From average to excellent — that’s the power of AbilityMap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A key enabler of the shift to skills, capabilities and capacity"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

The beauty of AbilityMap is the way it helps organisations and leaders take a broader and data based perspective on talent. This includes defining the capabilities required for success in key roles, the potential to create capabilities based career pathways, the ability to nurture talent pools and identify talent, and the opportunity to use capability data to help diagnose organisational culture. AbilityMap has tremendous potential as a talent (not just talent acquisition) platform. Beyond the platform itself, the AbilityMap team are fantastic partners, who go above and beyond to understand client needs and to create value through the partnership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

The AbilityMap platform is very easy to use, but the shift to the use of capabilities along with role and organisational profiles, requires some education. Likewise, it is easy for people to think that AbilityMap is purely a talent acquisition platform. Helping leaders see the potential of AbilityMap as a holistic talent and capability management platform will make a massive difference to the value it can offer. "A great tool and partner from the start!"
What do you like best about AbilityMap?

The insights and ease of use. It gives us clear and compelling data that we can use to make informed hiring decisions. Especially useful where talent is scarce and we need to consider 'less experienced' candidates or those from different backgrounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AbilityMap?

There is a lot of information available to the user and potentially some great insights that could be more easily surfaced or selected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
