As an IT Project Manager in the Technology field I personally use Todoist as my own project management tool to manage some projects. Todoist provides an agile environment where I can plan technical work and development tasks (aligned to the approved schedule) and assign them activities, monitor progress through one central view, and create recurring reminder notifications for maintenance reviews and change committee documentation. I would like to see improvements in visual flexibility, in the form of a more compact view which allows to display more tasks on a single screen at one time, and to have more customization options for colors and project templates (style). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Todoist is how simple it is to use while still being powerful enough to manage complex work.

Tasks are quick to create, organize, and prioritize.

Projects, labels, and filters make it easy to stay focused without overcomplicating things.

It works well across devices, so nothing falls through the cracks.

The interface is clean, which helps keep attention on the work instead of the tool.

There’s not much to dislike, but a few limitations stand out.

Reporting and productivity insights are fairly basic.

Managing very complex workflows can require workarounds with labels and filters.

Todoist is a fantastic todo app and probably the most feature rich on the market at this point with the exception of tick tick which doesn't work as intuitively. The natural language entry is incredibly useful and how I enter tasks most of the time. Setup is a breeze and it integrates incredibly well with email applications and MS Teams. I use this app daily and couldn't manage my workflow without it at this point. The one time I have had to reach out to support, they were quick and thorough in their response. I wish there was better support for continuous tasks and the outlook add in needs to add support for sections and assignments. It kind of dangles between task and project management and needs to solidify the identity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The integration capabilities with tools we use daily across JIRA and Slack make task management seamless. As a PM managing multiple NOCR workstreams, having tasks sync across platforms without manual duplication has saved our team significant time. The pricing structure becomes steep when scaling across a larger team. For a commercial credit card product team with multiple departments, we found ourselves evaluating alternatives because per-seat costs add up quickly. I like how Todoist is easy to use in teams. It's great that everyone on the project gets notifications on task comments, which helps keep everyone informed even if the task is not assigned to them. Additionally, I appreciate being able to get task reminders, plan our day through the calendar view, and share updates. I like the Upcoming view for time block management the best. This view of current tasks is a great overview of my tasks and makes it easy to organize the day and week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a clean and easy-to-use interface that helps me add daily tasks, organize them, and mark them as completed. The labeling system also helps me categorize tasks, making it easier to filter and manage them. It had both desktop and mobile versions. So I can easily maintain tasks whether I am at work or I am on vacation.

- The user experience. I've used the app for quite a while, and it NEVER felt like a drag.

- The interface is minimal and doesn't overwhelm you. I think knowing you've got your stuff together puts you in the right mindset.

- And I love their blog. It may not be pertinent to this, but their summary of Cal Newport's Deep Work is pretty exhaustive, and it's a resource I keep revisiting to get myself on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
