## Shopware Reviews
 ### 1. Shopware Simplifies E-Commerce with Extensive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul .

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I find Shopware valuable because it allows me to manage product listings, categories, and inventory in a simple and organized way. I can easily add or update products, track stock levels, and arrange items into clear categories so customers can find what they need quickly. This improves the shopping experience and helps avoid issues like selling out-of-stock items. I also like that Shopware supports integration with shipping and payment gateways, making it easier to process orders, calculate delivery costs, and offer secure payment options. These features really save time, increase efficiency, and help run an online store smoothly. Plus, the initial setup of Shopware was very easy. I also appreciate that Shopware can be combined with other tools to run online stores more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Some aspects of Shopware that could be improved include its complexity for beginners, as setup and customization may require technical knowledge. Extensions and advanced features can be costly, and performance may depend on hosting quality. Better documentation and simpler configuration tools would make it more user-friendly for small businesses.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware helps me build shopping websites, sell products and services online, and manage orders and payments. It organizes product listings, tracks stock levels, and integrates with shipping and payments, saving time, boosting efficiency, and enhancing the shopping experience.

 ### 2. We have developed into a large company and market leader in our industry with Shopware.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicola N. | Owner & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

11 years ago, I set up Shopware from scratch with little IT knowledge and without an agency, and since then I have grown with Shopware into a large company, including market leadership in our industry. While we initially needed hardly any functionalities, we can now meet the most diverse wishes and requirements of our B2C and B2B customers with Shopware - and still without an agency, we manage everything ourselves. We look forward to the next growth steps with Shopware.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

I don't really like that you need a variety of plugins from external providers, on which you depend to be compatible and continue to develop their system. That's why I was excited when, with version 6.7, a variety of functionalities were offered by Shopware itself and a new update system was introduced, allowing you to switch to the latest version much faster without too much testing.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Don't know what to reply to this

 ### 3. Good approaches, but too few standard functions and high costs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markus S. | Inhaber, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Drag & Drop for experience worlds / page builder, high flexibility & adaptability, large plugin ecosystem, marketing and content functions

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Too few standard features. Plugins only by subscription. High price. Cost-intensive maintenance. Always new functional problems (like with the update to 6.7, updates are only visible after manually clearing the cache). You cannot see the customers' shopping cart, etc.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We switched from Magento 1 to Shopware because our previous system was technically at the end of its lifecycle and customizations were becoming increasingly complex and expensive. At the same time, we needed a stable and well-documented connection to Xentral as the central ERP system.

Shopware solves this problem by offering a modern, flexibly expandable shop platform that integrates very well with Xentral. This allowed us to fully digitize our processes, reduce manual work, and implement updates and customizations much faster. Overall, our shop system is more flexible in operation today.

 ### 4. Enhanced performance for the BURG.shop

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas L. | Head of Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

As a manufacturer of locking systems and security solutions, BURG currently uses Shopware 6.5 for the daily processing of online orders. We are currently in the planning phase for the update to version 6.7. Previously, we worked with Magento for several years. The switch to Shopware has proven to be very positive for us in many ways.

The user-friendliness has increased for us through the theme integration. The backend allows for simplicity in implementation, both in product setup and content management.

Since the transition, we have been able to achieve a significantly greater reach. Both the number of impressions and our ranking in search engines have noticeably improved. This development has directly positively impacted our visibility and performance.

We particularly appreciate the clear location in Germany and a dedicated contact person with Shopware. The personal exchange – especially at trade fairs – is a great added value for us and sets Shopware apart from other providers.

Another big plus is the extensive plugin pool. The available extensions, for example for shipping service providers like DHL or DPD, are practical, well-integrated, and significantly facilitate daily operations. The API allows for fairly easy integration of daily key figures into the company's existing reporting.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The subscription model for plugins was initially somewhat unfamiliar to us, but it is overall well balanced by the range of features, regular updates, and support. In cases of issues with plugins that should actually be handled by the plugin developers, there were occasional communication problems with these developers.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By switching to Shopware, key challenges could be resolved: The direct connection to logistics service providers like DHL and DPD is easily implementable, multilingualism and sales in several European countries are flexibly scalable, and the technical foundation ensures significantly better visibility of the shop in search engines as well as a higher reach. Custom plugins were also written for us, enabling a more targeted product offering.

 ### 5. Flexibility and exceptional features for custom online stores

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra F. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

What I prefer about Shopware is its great flexibility and rich functionality, which allow for the creation of highly customized online stores tailored to various needs. I also appreciate its solid ecosystem, with numerous extensions and integrations, as well as its modern and intuitive interface for managing products, orders, and marketing.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

What I dislike about Shopware is that its usability can be complex for beginners in e-commerce, and some advanced features often require paid extensions, which can increase the total cost of the store.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware solves the problem of complex management of a large-scale online store by offering a flexible and modular platform tailored to the varied needs of merchants. I gain the advantage of being able to fully customize my store, easily integrate extensions to expand its functionalities, and efficiently manage products, orders, and marketing campaigns thanks to a complete and robust ecosystem.

 ### 6. Future-proof, flexible shop system for B2C and B2B

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tobias S. | Leiter E-Commerce, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

What we particularly appreciate about Shopware 6 is the clear structure and modular design of the platform. These features offer us great flexibility to make individual customizations. The integration of plugins is very simple, with many extensions specifically tailored to the needs of the German market, such as regarding GDPR, legal texts, or payment providers. Particularly noteworthy is the user-friendliness in the backend: the navigation is clearly structured, and the drag-and-drop editor makes it easy for us to efficiently create and manage products, landing pages, and orders.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Occasionally, Shopware's marketing is ahead of development, so new features are not fully mature at the beginning. However, these minor flaws are usually quickly fixed through updates. Another point of criticism is that some basic functions are only offered as paid plugins. Additionally, updates in more complex setups with numerous extensions mean increased effort.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Shopware, we have elevated our e-commerce strategy to a significantly more professional level. The platform provides us with the necessary scalability to quickly expand into new markets and centrally manage various sales channels. As a result, our customers enjoy a modern and unified shopping experience, while we can make our internal processes more efficient. The combination of flexibility, strong community support, and continuous development makes Shopware a reliable long-term investment in our digital commerce strategy.

 ### 7. Good B2C shop system, B2B potential remains to be seen

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I appreciate the functionality of Shopware, especially with the B2B suite that we used to manage our customers. This suite was particularly valuable in our old environment as it allowed for specific customizations that were crucial for our business operations. Even though the suite is no longer available in the new plans, I found the already existing features to be useful. I find that Shopware offers a very good shop system in the B2C area. Additionally, our team had no issues with the installation of Shopware, as an agency, Daimler Medien, took over the process for us, making everything seamless and trouble-free. Despite the changes, I also see potential for Shopware in the B2B area and am confident that the new developments will continue to offer good added value.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

I am disappointed that the b-to-b suite from Shopware has been discontinued. This suite was very valuable to us as we used it to manage our customers. In the old Shopware environment, we had made customizations that are now unusable due to Shopware's changed plans. Now we have to redevelop the whole thing, which is frustrating. Additionally, I don't really use Shopware extensively because our Mercedes Benz original parts business is very specialized and there are no features that I would say should be implemented better in another technology.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Shopware for a secure shop with IT security and data protection, which gives us a better copy of our old shop.

 ### 8. Neat, Smooth UI—But Support and Community Need to Grow

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush Raj S. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

The UI is neat and clean, and it’s super smooth to use. It makes me feel like I’m working with a really good application.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The support and community are limited, and it’s difficult to find information or have discussions.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I built a custom plugin for the Shopware platform, integrating it with an open-source PIM solution for a Europe-based client.

 ### 9. Shopware is a very user-friendly e-commerce software with extensive features.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jörg L. | Online-Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

extensive features, flexible customizations - extensive plugin offerings - integration with interfaces and ERP systems - individual design via themes and/or custom adjustments - great support! - very good documentation, partly with videos - quick familiarization with basic functions, easy operation also multilingual - many B2B functions - individually adjustable workflows

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Operation has many cross-connections that are not immediately recognized - large-scale design requires a lot of scrolling, jump navigation with the keyboard is partially not possible - complex functions and dependencies require a lot of familiarization time - export cannot be limited to categories

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immediate purchase in the B2B sector, generation of product or project inquiries.

**Official Response from Team Shopware:**

 ### 10. Powerful, flexible, and future-proof

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone B. | Geschäftsführerin und Inhaberin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware impresses with its enormous flexibility and user-friendliness. The system can be used for both smaller shops and complex enterprise solutions. I particularly appreciate the intuitive user interface, the modular structure, as well as the many integrations and plugins that integrate seamlessly. The open API architecture also allows for individual customizations without limits.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

So far, I have hardly any points of criticism. Smaller details, such as occasionally longer loading times in the backend with very large catalogs, could be optimized – but compared to the advantages, this is absolutely tolerable.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to significantly professionalize our e-commerce strategy with Shopware. The scalable platform gives us the opportunity to quickly enter new markets, centrally manage various sales channels, and offer our customers a modern shopping experience. The combination of flexibility, community support, and continuous development makes Shopware a secure long-term investment for us.

 ### 11. Intuitive Platform with Easy Setup and Quick Purchases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashant G. | Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I like the interface and the view that I get about the products. It helps me buy what I need very frequently without being complicated. The process of signing up with my Google ID was quite easy, and the setup process was smooth. I appreciate the ease of setting up Shopware.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

I dislike that it takes time to load when I open Shopware on my phone after cleaning it, which wastes usable time for me.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Shopware as an ecommerce platform to fulfill my frequent buying needs quickly and efficiently.

 ### 12. Flexible and powerful, but many features only available through paid plugins

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian W. | E-Commerce Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware is a scalable and flexibly deployable solution. It is particularly suitable for companies with complex system landscapes (ERP, WWS, etc.) that want to link their online shop with interfaces. Especially in the German-speaking region, there are also many agencies that specialize in Shopware.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Many features are not available for free. Almost everything requires a plugin that cannot be purchased, but only rented.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Shopware, we can sell our products online and seamlessly integrate them into our existing system landscape.

 ### 13. Flexible, Modern, and Powerful E-Commerce Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

What I like best about Shopware is its high level of flexibility combined with a modern, well-structured system. The platform offers powerful customization options, a strong API-first approach, and a clean administration interface, which makes it easy to manage complex e-commerce requirements efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Because of its flexibility and wide range of features, Shopware can feel complex at times. Setting up more advanced use cases often requires developer resources, which may not be ideal for smaller teams.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware addresses the need for a highly customizable e-commerce solution that integrates well with existing systems. This benefits us by enabling tailored workflows, seamless integrations, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements.

 ### 14. Flexible e-commerce solution for demanding projects in both B2C and B2B sectors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian S. | Teamlead Backend, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware can be perfectly adapted to your own needs with the help of custom or purchased themes and plugins. The system is continuously developed with the latest technologies and has a large community in Germany. In addition, Shopware always strives to be a pioneer in e-commerce and offers suitable solutions for both shop owners and end customers.

I find Shopware to be very intuitive and user-friendly, even for experienced users. The backend navigation is clear, and the drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to create and manage products, landing pages, and orders efficiently. Implementing Shopware was very fast for me—often possible within just a few hours. There is a wide range of ready-made plugins, and many features are already included in the standard version. This allowed me to launch and further develop professional online shops without extensive technical overhead.

I also appreciate the reliable and competent customer support, especially when working with experienced Shopware agencies. Support from third-party providers has also been good to very good in my experience. I use Shopware daily to manage products, process orders, and analyze customer data. The system is an integral part of my day-to-day business, both for B2C and B2B, and it works well for companies of all sizes.

Shopware offers a wide range of features, both in the standard version and through numerous plugins. I particularly value the marketing tools, analytics, voucher and discount functions, and flexible product management. The system is highly customizable and can be extended with additional modules as needed. Integrating Shopware with other systems has generally been straightforward for me. There are many interfaces to common ERP and accounting systems, as well as to marketplaces and payment providers. The open architecture and API-based ecosystem of Shopware 6 make it easy to connect third-party solutions and build a tailored system landscape.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Sometimes, Shopware’s marketing is faster than its development. As a result, features may lack the final polish needed for productive use. However, this is usually addressed with the corresponding updates.

Some basic features are only available as paid plugins, which I find a bit frustrating. While the system is very flexible, more advanced customizations often require additional development effort or technical knowledge.

Although the usability is generally very good, some areas—especially for more complex requirements—can be less intuitive and may require some training or experience. Updates can sometimes be challenging, as they often require significant adjustments, especially when many plugins are involved. Additionally, the cost structure for the more advanced versions can be a hurdle for smaller companies.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Shopware as the backend for our e-commerce platform and have connected our Nuxt-based shop frontend via the headless API. This setup allows us to benefit from Shopware’s powerful product and order management, while maintaining full flexibility and control over the frontend experience.

Shopware solves the problem of centralized management for products, categories, and orders, making it easy for us to maintain and update our catalog. The headless approach enables us to build a modern, high-performance frontend with Nuxt, tailored exactly to our requirements and design preferences.

Thanks to the API-first architecture, we can easily integrate additional services, connect to various sales channels, and automate workflows. This results in a scalable and future-proof solution that supports both our current needs and potential future growth. The combination of Shopware and Nuxt gives us the best of both worlds: a robust e-commerce backend and a flexible, state-of-the-art frontend.

 ### 15. Where great support experience and promising statet-of-art technology meet

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

- Great customer support that took the time to understand our business needs.
We provided a list of planned functionalities / features in our webshop. We received a tailor-made proposal.

- Shopware 6 Beyond and PaaS are very promising technologies which we look forward to working with.

- E-Commerce "Made in Germany" is another driving factor.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

- Pricing politics (esp. comparing older licenses with current ones)

- many functions we deem standard e-commerce require the use of plugins and/or programming

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a state-of-the-art webshop solution, and Shopware 6 is built on a modern foundation (built from scratch) that meets our needs.

 ### 16. Fast, User-Friendly, but Data Handling Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | CTO, eCommerce Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I like Shopware for its ease of use and how fast it is for users to edit products and set up pages. It's very convenient. It also performs technically well and is super fast, which is valuable for SEO reasons and provides a great experience for customers.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Some things about the data handling and how Shopware saves data are somewhat fragile or there's some issues with strange solutions made.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I switched to Shopware for its open-source flexibility, which allowed me to access and code the source. It's user-friendly and fast for setting up products and pages, improving SEO and customer experience.

 ### 17. Flexible shop system with a strong API – the perfect foundation for our SaaS model

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bennet C. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware 6 stands out for its high flexibility and modern architecture. As the foundation for our SaaS solution in the pharmacy and healthcare sector, it enables us to manage multiple tenants efficiently. The clear API-first approach and headless capabilities were key to seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The Rule Builder is particularly helpful, allowing us to easily implement custom business logic. The CMS ("Experience Worlds") is also intuitive and offers great freedom in frontend design.

A major advantage compared to other systems is the ease of customization: we can flexibly implement specific requirements of the pharmacy and healthcare market – such as legal compliance, custom checkout processes, or multi-tier pricing structures. This level of adaptability is essential for operating in such a highly regulated environment.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The plugin ecosystem is smaller compared to other platforms (e.g. Shopify), especially when it comes to B2B-specific extensions. Some updates can cause incompatibilities with existing plugins, which adds extra testing effort in productive multi-tenant setups. However, in our case, the high degree of customizability more than compensates for this limitation.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Shopware 6 as the technical foundation for a scalable SaaS platform tailored to pharmacies and telemedicine partners. Its flexible architecture allows us to operate multiple partners through a central solution and securely synchronize data with Business Central – including orders, customer communication, and invoicing. Thanks to its ease of customization, we were able to precisely implement industry-specific requirements such as data protection, billing logic, and delivery options.

 ### 18. Pegasus Spiele — one of Europe’s most successful board game publisher — relies on Shopware 6

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico F. | CTO, Wholesale, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

What I like most about Shopware is its flexibility and ease of use. The platform can be tailored to fit individual business needs, whether through custom extensions or the wide range of available plugins. I especially appreciate the modern and intuitive interface, which makes it easy to work productively even without deep technical knowledge.

Another strong point is the active community and excellent documentation, which provide quick solutions and inspiration. Shopware is also highly scalable, making it suitable for both small shops and large, complex e-commerce projects. Overall, it combines technical reliability, adaptability, and user-friendliness in a very effective way.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

One of the downsides of Shopware is that while it offers great flexibility, some advanced customizations can require significant technical expertise. This means smaller teams without dedicated developers might find certain adjustments more difficult or time-consuming.

Additionally, the ecosystem of plugins and extensions, although extensive, can vary in quality, and ensuring compatibility between different modules sometimes adds extra effort. Updates and upgrades can also require careful testing to avoid conflicts.

Overall, the challenges are mostly related to complexity at scale, but they are manageable with proper planning and resources.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware helps us solve the challenge of managing and presenting large and complex product catalogs in a clear and structured way. It makes it easy to organize products, categories, and content so that customers can quickly find what they are looking for.

It also provides the flexibility to adapt to different sales channels and business models, which helps us stay competitive and meet customer expectations. The modern backend simplifies daily work, so updates and adjustments can be made efficiently.

Overall, Shopware reduces complexity in e-commerce management and improves both internal workflows and the customer shopping experience.

 ### 19. Reliable e-commerce platform with great flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

We have been using Shopware for over ten years and are still satisfied with the platform. We particularly like the ability to individually expand our shop and adapt it to our needs with the help of the comprehensive plugin offerings – all without much effort via the plugin store. The user-friendly management in the backend also makes our daily work easier.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The updates are partially tedious, especially with more complex setups with many extensions.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We offer our major customers an individual customer shop tailored to your needs, to optimize your ordering process and improve customer loyalty. This often requires an adjustment of our online shop. Shopware provides us with the necessary flexibility to continuously develop our online shops and adapt them to the requirements of our customers. With our special requirements in the B2B business, Shopware has provided us with good advice and support in developing a suitable solution.

 ### 20. Shopware - Intuitive e-commerce solution with easy integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

We have been using Shopware for some time now and are thoroughly impressed with the user-friendliness and well-thought-out structure of the platform. The interface is clearly and modernly designed, allowing users without deep technical knowledge to work quickly and efficiently with it. Particularly noteworthy is the intuitive backend, which enables easy management of products, orders, and content.
Another major advantage is the straightforward integration with existing systems and extensions. Thanks to the well-documented API and a wide selection of plugins, Shopware can be seamlessly integrated into almost any system landscape - whether ERP, payment providers, or inventory management. The installation runs smoothly, and many processes can be automated, saving a tremendous amount of time in everyday life.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Even though the user interface of Shopware is designed to be very intuitive, the extensive range of features, especially in the higher editions, can initially seem a bit overwhelming for newcomers. There are many settings, modules, and configuration options that require some time to get familiar with at first. However, this point quickly becomes less significant, as Shopware offers very good documentation and an active community that provides quick assistance with questions. With a bit of patience and curiosity, one can navigate it well – and benefit in the long term from the system's enormous flexibility.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A common problem in e-commerce is the complex and costly integration of third-party systems such as ERP solutions, payment services, or shipping providers. Many shop systems require custom developments for this, which are not only expensive but also maintenance-intensive. Shopware solves this problem with an open API architecture and a variety of pre-made plugins, allowing common systems like JTL, Sage, PayPal, Klarna, DHL, DPD, or Amazon Pay to be connected quickly and easily. This enables important business processes such as order processing, inventory management, or payment reconciliation to be automated.

 ### 22. Ideal for European expansion with furnishing needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bernhard R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I like that the many countries can be connected easily. The flows and sterol images work very well.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The connection to the shipping service provider GLS is still not working well, as no parcel shops can be selected at checkout. It was difficult to set up Shopware because we couldn't do it ourselves and needed an agency.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can offer our products in many European countries with Shopware.

 ### 23. 10 years of Shopware and still satisfied

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SniperAirsoftSupply . | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware is a system that offers a great deal of freedom. The plugin world is vast, and if something is missing, a good agency can certainly create a custom solution. Furthermore, we greatly appreciate the German support from Shopware, which really makes the greatest effort to find suitable solutions together with the customer. The staff are not only very professional but above all very customer-oriented.
Thus, we have once again decided on a major relaunch for Shopware.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

As with any other software, with Shopware it ultimately depends on how good the agency is that sets up and manages Shopware. And unfortunately, you can also make a big mistake. Shopware is certainly striving to offer support in finding an agency, yet it is almost impossible for the customer to assess in advance how good an agency actually is. Here, I would wish for even greater quality control from Shopware itself.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware is still the best platform for us to reach out to customers. With the many plugins available in the Shopware world, we are able to effectively reach customers all over Germany.

 ### 24. Powerful, future-proof shop system with a strong B2B focus

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian K. | Administrator & Web-Entwickler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Technically, Shopware 6 is very well positioned: The platform is clearly structured, modularly built, and offers high flexibility for individual customizations. Plugins can be quickly integrated, many of which are tailored directly to the requirements of the German market (GDPR, legal texts, payment providers, etc.). The user-friendliness in the backend is a big plus point – both for developers and the content team.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The transition from Shopware 5 to 6 was challenging: Some features that were standard in Shopware 5 are only available in 6 through third-party plugins or were not fully adopted (at least initially). This made the migration process more complex. However, much has happened since then – particularly the B2B functionalities in Shopware Evolve are strong and are rapidly evolving. We plan to expand even more here in the future.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Shopware for several years – starting with Shopware 5, then since 2020 with the Community Edition of Shopware 6, and now since May 2025 with the Evolve Plan. For us as a manufacturer and retailer in the medical products sector, it was important to use a system that is suitable for both B2B and B2C sales. Shopware 6 provides a strong technical foundation for this: headless architecture, a modern API, and well-expandable components. Through the migration and the Evolve Plan, we were able to significantly improve the user experience for our customers and the backend experience for editors and admins. Revenue has developed noticeably positively in recent years.

 ### 25. A very easy start

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timmy C. | Ecommerce Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

It's easy to setup and get started.
Integrating third-party apps is easy, there are lot in the store. if it's missing you can always use API to get going.
Shopware Support is very good, they take the time to read the problems and will guide you through the problems.

SW Analytics give me a good overview of what is happening on my store.

A big benefit is how everything comes together, rule builder, flow builder and dynamic access makes in- or exclusion of customers and customer groups easy.
We use it to target specific customer with certain goods, this is noticeable in our conversion rate.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Sometimes, updating a mayor version can be a pain.
The software offers you to deactivate all apps only to struggle with the theme.
This is however easy to solve, with some clicks.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware ties our tech-stack together.

 ### 26. Good Shopsystem - Great Improvement potential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jo Lennart B. | E-Commerce Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I like the possibility to add plugins easily into the shop. With that you have a very good online shop base and can implement new features if you want but you dont have to. The Plugins are having a good quality besides that

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Not that much - a few plugins do not talk to each other. But thats not Shopwares Fault its more because of the plugins.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware is giving me the opportunity to have a sate.of.the.art online-shop without having to customize every little part of the shop. I can have a general Shop and become Updates and new features with the Shop Minor and Major Upgrades.

 ### 27. A solid and flexible platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fanni M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware offers a well-structured system that supports tailored extensions. As a large and international shop, we work with significant customizations, which the system allows for. The backend is intuitive and logical, which makes routine tasks such as order management straightforward—even for users with less technical knowledge. The fact that it is a german company, is an additional benefit for us especially.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The system can be a bit slow when working with large datasets, however, we are hoping for improvement there now that we are upgrading to Shopware 6.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware allows us to run a smooth and international shop that sells high-end products to over 40 countries worldwide and with that reaches customers that we cannot serve via physical retailers yet.

 ### 28. Shopware – Strong Partner for Our New Shop Project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware offers a well-thought-out and user-friendly shop system that makes setting up and managing an online shop efficient. The platform impresses with numerous features and high expandability that easily cover individual requirements. Particularly noteworthy is the reliable and competent support that is available at any time.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The transition from Shopware 5 to 6 comes with certain challenges, as familiar functions are partially missing or have been implemented differently. In some areas, the solution seems somewhat overcomplex and could be designed to be more intuitive. The software is worth its price, but the investment must first be economically managed.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Shopware, we solve the problem that extensions in our previous shop system were only feasible with high costs. In the future, updates should proceed quickly and easily without disrupting ongoing operations. At the same time, we are relying on a modern, growth-oriented platform that grows with our requirements.

 ### 29. High Flexibility & Adaptability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan L. | Webanalyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I have only been working with Shopware since 2023. The user interface is intuitive and easy to use, which greatly facilitated the start. The features are diverse and provide a perfect foundation for our online business. Other shop systems could not meet our requirements for a multi-brand shop, so Shopware was the perfect solution due to its flexibility and adaptability. Everything runs stably and quickly – overall a great solution for e-commerce companies.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The update frequency of Shopware versions can lead to having to wait for the updates from plugin manufacturers before being able to update the system itself, especially when using many plugins. Some functions inevitably require a certain amount of development effort.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our multi-brand shop, each brand should receive its own "client." Each brand world should be able to be designed in its own corporate identity. Here, Shopware was the best solution for us.

 ### 30. Shopware as a reliable basis for our fashion online shop

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

We have been running our online shop in the fashion industry for several years with Shopware – and couldn't be happier with the decision. The system offers us exactly the flexibility and professionalism we need for our daily business. We were particularly impressed by the intuitive operation in the backend. Thanks to the "Shopping Worlds," we can present our collections stylishly and in line with our brand. In terms of SEO, mobile optimization, and integration with payment and shipping service providers, Shopware provides everything we need.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Backend Performance: With a large number of products or complex variant structures, we notice that the backend loses speed. Especially when working with many items simultaneously, this can lead to waiting times.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the number of variants, Shopware allows us a structured overview and an individual customization of the different variants.

 ### 31. First-class shop system

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

 ### 32. Satisfied since 2020 and hopefully for many more years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederik M. | Project Manager Digital, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

We have been using Shopware since 2020 for our company website and various webshops. During this time, we have experienced many positive things and enjoy using Shopware for our functions.

The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly. Even as a beginner, I quickly found my way around. Everything is clearly structured, so I always quickly find the desired functions. This makes working simply pleasant.

Customer support is another plus. I had a few questions about specific functions, and the answers came promptly and were very helpful.

We use Shopware in our daily work, it offers us everything we need for our online presence, and we constantly discover new features that make our work easier. Keyword: B2B-Components or Dynamic Access ;-)

The variety of functions impresses us time and again. From creating product pages/landing pages to various marketing tools, everything is included. This flexibility allows us to customize and optimize our shops individually. And what is not available can either be found as an app in the store or achieved with a little development effort.

The integration of third-party services works very well. The available plugins significantly expand the functionality of our shops and can be integrated without much effort. Through numerous forum entries, you can also find good help with problems.

Overall, we are really satisfied with Shopware and can recommend it to anyone who wants to build a powerful and user-friendly online shop or company website. There may still be small improvements possible, but that doesn't stop us from being enthusiastic users!

A look at the roadmap is always worthwhile, as many exciting topics are already in planning!

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The high update speed of Shopware versions can lead to having to wait for plugin manufacturers before being able to make an update when using many plugins.

With the pure Shopware CMS, you can tell that it is a shop system. Over the years, improvements have been made, and you can find many apps in the store that make design easier.

Nevertheless, the development effort remains unavoidable for some functions.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple organization of products and content on the website. Shopware offers a solid all-in-one package that combines these functions. It is suitable for both small retailers and larger companies.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

There are some bugs in the new Shopware 6 that do not make working impossible, but do make it more difficult.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The increasing digitalization of the assortment can be well structured through variants and properties.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sven B. | Online-Shop Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Excellent shop system with high flexibility
We have been using Shopware for our online shop Müller Small Living for many years and are extremely satisfied with the current version Shopware 6.
As a manufacturer of high-quality furniture "Made in Germany", it is essential for us to have a powerful and flexible shop system. Shopware 6 offers us exactly that: intuitive operation, modern technology and extensive customisation options. We were particularly impressed by the simple integration of our furniture configurator (pCon), which our customers can use to design customised products.
Another highlight is the modular structure, which enables us to continuously develop our shop and adapt it to new requirements. We also appreciate the strong community and the reliable support, which is always on hand to help us with questions or new challenges.
We can recommend Shopware 6 without reservation - a powerful, future-proof and flexible system for companies that want to run their e-commerce professionally.

Conclusion:
✅ Flexible & customisable
✅ Easy integration of third-party providers (e.g. our furniture configurator)
✅ Future-proof & powerful
✅ Large community & professional support
Many thanks to the Shopware team for this great product! 👏

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The text editor for the shop pages is not very convenient.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware 6 primarily solves the problem of flexibility and scalability in our online shop. Thanks to its modular structure, we can make individual customizations without having to sacrifice updates or new features.

The intuitive user interface makes daily tasks easier for our team—from managing products to handling orders. We particularly value the extensive SEO capabilities, which help us improve the visibility of our products and increase traffic.

Additionally, we benefit from the multi-channel functionality, allowing us to easily list products across multiple platforms simultaneously. Overall, Shopware 6 has made our internal processes more efficient and boosted our revenue by providing our customers with a modern and user-friendly shopping experience.

 ### 36. Fantastic shop system with great plugins

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Backend, rule- and flowbuilder (for creating promotions), the easy adjustment of shop internal bascis like text snippets, the integration of payment provides via plugins, great customer support

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Update policy - to many (critical) updates, sometimes with less informations, weak plugin store (in many cases the plugin providers are behind the newest SW versions)

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware is our main shop system for 7 online shops. We also use it for marketplace connections together with a feed management plugin.

 ### 37. A very flexible and high-performance shop system architecture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin S. | Geschäftsführender Gesellschafter (CEO), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

I have been a Shopware user since 2015 and have come to appreciate the good to very good support (e.g., Moritz) over the years. There has always been not only an active community but also many agencies with a very broad range of topics. So, there are plugins for most needs. Version 5 was not designed to last forever in terms of architecture: many of the plugins at that time "dug" deep into the system and left their traces. Therefore, a fresh start was doubly sensible: with Shopware 6. The rule-based configuration has opened up a wide range of applications, making the use of many plugins obsolete. Of course, you have to familiarize yourself with the new configuration options - but that's the case with any new system. However, many options were intuitive and therefore not rocket science. We did not implement the connection to marketplaces directly from SW6, but instead, we interposed Plenty here. Our external IT staff was also impressed by the technical implementation in SW6 and gave me the feedback: for any demanding shop solution, he will suggest SW6. The contact through the Shopware Community Day is ideal for getting direct contact with the SW team, but also for talking to SW partners and listening to interesting presentations. And, of course, to let the day end together and relaxed in the evening.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Regarding the global orientation, I found it unfortunate that most documents/videos/presentations are increasingly in English. Yes, I don't have a technical problem with that, but I just find it more relaxing in my native language.
Due to the switch from purchase options for plugins to rental, the costs for plugins have virtually exploded. I have experienced this myself with some examples and then decided against some plugins. Fair costs, yes, but some agencies really take advantage of this - in some cases more than doubling the costs when viewed annually. It would be nice if SW could monitor this and approach certain agencies - because this is not a good development.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SW is connected to Plenty with us and is available through various channels from several national and international marketplaces and our own shops (internationalized, 6 languages, 3 shops)

**Official Response from Team Shopware:**

> Hi Martin,

Thank you very much for your detailed review! We’re thrilled you value Shopware’s flexibility, rule-based configuration, and active community. It’s great to see how Shopware 6 supports your multi-shop, multi-language operations effectively. We appreciate your feedback on plugin costs and language resources – it helps us improve.

Thank you for being a loyal user and part of the Shopware community! We're looking forward to continuing our partnership and supporting your ongoing success with Shopware!

All the best,
Your Shopware Team

 ### 38. Future-proof shop system with maximum flexibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

What we appreciate most is the enormous flexibility of Shopware. Through individually developed plugins, we were able to tailor our shop exactly to our requirements – without encountering any technical limitations. We also particularly like that Shopware is constantly evolving and proactively addressing important issues such as legal requirements or new features. For us as shop operators, this is a future-proof foundation.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The rapid development pace of Shopware can sometimes be challenging – especially when you constantly have to keep up with updates, changes, and new features. Particularly with larger customizations, this means additional effort. Nevertheless, we understand that this dynamism is necessary to remain a modern and future-proof shop system.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware helps us to efficiently implement even complex requirements. We manufacture individual products with many configuration options – with other shop systems, we quickly reach limits or would have to make compromises. With Shopware, on the other hand, we can map our processes flexibly and without relevant restrictions.

Another advantage is that Shopware recognizes current legal requirements early and provides appropriate solutions. This way, we not only remain legally compliant but also technically always up to date – even if it is sometimes challenging to keep up with the rapid development.

 ### 39. Open source project excites all around

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Open Source Project, Customization, API first, Community

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Many plugin dependencies, dependent on plugin providers for updates & co.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware gives us the opportunity to present our complex products online as well. Our specialist dealers can organize themselves better with it.

 ### 40. Empowering and Flexible E-commerce Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehmet B. | E-Commerce-Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

My experience with Shopware has been impressive due to its intuitive design and adaptable features that make managing an online store efficient and enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

While Shopware offers extensive benefits, the initial setup and integration process can be somewhat challenging. Some advanced features require a deeper dive into documentation, and occasional performance fluctuations may occur. Improved onboarding and more comprehensive guides for advanced configurations would make the experience even better.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our organization, we primarily use Shopware to manage our online storefront, process orders, and maintain customer engagement. Its versatility allows us to integrate with our existing systems and streamline our ecommerce operations.

 ### 41. Great product, tailored to our needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Adaptability and the multitude of plugins, directly usable in the German-speaking market

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

there are, in my opinion, no disadvantages. You can start out-of-the-box

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We sell worldwide, with Shopware I was able to put various language shops online very easily.

 ### 42. Shopware 6 for small shops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerhard B. | Ich mache alles, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

The backend in Shopware 6 has a very user-friendly interface, which is particularly visually appealing.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Shopware 6 does not have the ability to access products that are assigned to a dynamic product group through this group. In contrast, in Shopware 5, the products were assigned to categories. This made it easier at the time to keep track, for example, when you had to go through all the products in a category if you wanted to change something in the text of only those items.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to market my products online.

 ### 43. Efficient and flexible shop/CMS system for the KAISER website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabelle T. | Marketing / Digitale Medien, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Thanks to its flexibility and modular structure, Shopware can be optimally tailored to our requirements. It offers many possibilities to customize layouts and functions individually, for example through plugins and extensions. The system also impresses us with its comprehensive support for different languages, currencies, and markets (ideal for international business models like that of KAISER). Features such as product filtering, flexible pricing, integrated marketing tools, and easy management of categories and variants are also more than practical. The strong community and broad support from third-party providers complete the overall package.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

We would like to have extended functions for the export and import of elements and texts, including more options for file formats (e.g., Datanorm, BMEcat) in addition to XML and CSV. A more sophisticated management of language selection would also be helpful. The same applies to the versioning of pages and elements, to better track and manage changes in the larger context of a medium-sized company.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopware solves the challenges of flexibility and internationalization for us in particular. With its modularity and numerous plugins, we can customize layouts and functions individually. Furthermore, Shopware offers powerful tools for product management, pricing, and marketing, which make our internal processes more efficient.

**Official Response from Team Shopware:**

> Hi Isabelle,

Thank you very much for your detailed review!

We are very pleased that you can optimally use the flexibility and modular structure of Shopware for your international business model. We gladly take the feedback on the export/import functions and the management of language selection to further optimize Shopware.

We look forward to continuing to support KAISER in successfully implementing its requirements!

Best regards,
Your Shopware Team

 ### 44. An ideal platform for the KAISER website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wiebke S. | Online Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

We chose Shopware because we didn't want to miss out on the many advantages that a shop system offers. Especially the features for filtering products and the convenient search function of a shop system make this platform more attractive compared to a classic CMS system.

We were looking for a modern system that integrates harmoniously into the sophisticated system architecture and can score with extensive possibilities for designing content elements. Furthermore, at KAISER, the connection to other systems like SAP and PIM was very important to us in order to reduce the effort of content maintenance while simultaneously improving quality and avoiding redundancies.

Additionally, we also appreciate the possibilities for customization in terms of design and functionality through a variety of plugins and the diverse "ecosystem" of professional agencies and service providers.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The export function from the shop could be improved, for example, in terms of the configurability of required elements or texts, language selection, and also the possibility of versioning elements/pages to be able to track changes.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Especially the features for filtering products and the convenient search function of a shop system make this platform more attractive compared to a traditional CMS system.

**Official Response from Team Shopware:**

> Hello Wiebke,

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that Shopware is the right choice for KASIER due to its advantages.

Best regards,

Your Shopware Team

 ### 45. Best customer service I have ever received

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

After we restructured our e-commerce strategy, we decided to switch to Shopware 6 thanks to perfect advice from Karolina at Shopware. The system is intuitive to use and offers many features as standard. Extensions are also easy to implement through the Shopware Store. What we like best is that you can now manage a lot yourself. Therefore, Shopware gets 9 points and the consultation 10 out of 10 ;-)

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

That the price structure is tied to the revenue.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers expect individual prices and tiers that Shopware represents without any problems.

 ### 46. Flexible & scalable platform for online retailers with subscription-based pricing model

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Shopware 6 offers a user-friendly backend, making it easy to manage products and orders without extensive training. Additionally, its API is well-documented, allowing seamless integration with third-party services. The platform is highly scalable and flexible, providing a strong foundation for growing businesses.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The migration from Shopware 5 to 6 is complex and requires professional assistance. Many extensions are only available via subscription, increasing long-term costs. Furthermore, achieving optimal performance may require hosting with a Shopware-certified provider.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of Shopware’s key strengths is its highly user-friendly backend interface. The system is intuitive and does not require extensive training, making it easy to manage product catalogs, customer data, and marketing campaigns efficiently. This usability improvement is particularly valuable for businesses that need to onboard new employees quickly without a steep learning curve.

 ### 47. My take on Shopware

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rashmi R. | Associate Project Manager 2, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

It's open source and that makes it developer friendly. Apart from this the UI is simple. Customization and third-party integration are fairly easy.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

There might be some gaps in documentation. Customization which is also a pro and can be a con sometime as well because it's quite time consuming.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One major issue it is solving is the lack of customization. Personally, for myself it was very cost effective to implement.

 ### 48. Professional Online Shop Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Customer-oriented care and competent support

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

Shopware 6 has become more complex compared to Shopware 5

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Functions like shipping prices, free shipping from CHF... and creating payment options were easier to set up in Shopware 5. In SW6, with the RuleBuilder, you have more possibilities, but the programming has become more complex. Also, setting up the search function in SW6 is currently tedious.

 ### 49. Top E-Commerce Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopware?**

Intuitive interface and many practical features. This allows a shop to be set up easily even without extensive basic knowledge and integrated into one's own processes. Good support.

**What do you dislike about Shopware?**

The new pricing policy under the Fair Usage Policy is questionable.

**What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Shopware as a classic shop system.
