# Are there industrial AR platforms that are actually practical for delivering digital work instructions on a production line without a major infrastructure rollout?

That's what I've been trying to pin down for a piece, because AR looks great in a demo but the rollout is where it stalls. Here are three AR-specific tools reviewers actually run.</p><ul>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/rewo/reviews"><strong>REWO</strong></a> (4.8/5) is video-based SOPs with an AR and smart-glasses option that reviewers praise for training and remote troubleshooting with field techs. Several flag the glasses cost as the thing that can stall a rollout.</li>

&lt;p&gt;We demoed both routes last year. Projection in the Arkite style was easier to sustain because there&#39;s nothing to charge, clean, or hand between shifts, but it only works if the station layout is stable and you have the overhead clearance. The glasses spent more time in the drawer than on faces. Honest answer to your second question: tablets got us about 80 percent of the value at a fraction of the cost, and we only kept projection at two high-error stations where hands-free genuinely mattered. I&#39;d start with tablets and let the error data argue for AR, not the demo.&lt;/p&gt;
