Skyline had a feature that posted all transactions to the ledger from the PM and AP sides of accounting, and from there you could review all of the entries and find adjustments that were made in a prior month that allowed accounting to catch errors quickly and easily, and for the books to ever be wrong from a prior month from a user issue. The software is server based, has no app to support it, and required 5-10 outside programs to perform all property management tasks. There was so much manual data entry needed that we had an entire staff member entering rent checks alone each month because we did not have enough users to support our staff, so they did not have access to the software. I love how easy I can keep track of incoming rents. It seamlessly syncs with my banking software to input payments from Section 8 tenants and calculate late fees after a certain date. The ability to create reports to manage non pays is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The late fees are calculated incorrectly and no matter what we do to fix it, nothing works. It will consistently calculate 10% of the total balance owed and not 10% of the monthly rents so some tenant accounts end up with outrageous balances for fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like best that I can create accounts per tenant, per building, per unit. It makes finding all my tenants in one building easy as well as tracking for late rents or non pays. This product has a ton of bugs. It crashes often, fails often and tends to make removing and re adding payments extremely difficult. It is really awful when we are unable to decipher how fees are assessed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
